INNOVATION Knowledge, skills and crossinfluences serve innovation. Constantly seeking innovative technologies and smart applications is the road taken by Morandi to create value for the customer. According to Morandi, respect for the individual lies at the centre of its professional and personal relationships. In a logic of mutual respect, those who come in touch with the Morandi brand find a friendly and family environment, ready to welcome and listen to any need and understand it. Morandi intends to build internal and external partnerships to achieve mutual and lasting satisfaction, in order to develop positive synergies with all the Group stakeholders. TRANSPARENCY Mutual esteem and trust between the subjects concerned are necessary to build solid relationships which remain satisfactory over time. For this reason, Morandi s activities are marked by fairness, sincerity and seriousness. mission Morandi SPA is the ideal counterpart for manufacturers and users of steel hollow sections and can meet the requirements of a developed market with its SMART offer, which features quality products, high service standards, know-how and skills, to meet current and future market needs. STIMULI KNOW-HOW EXPERTISE HISTORY FUTURE Good ideas or food for thought often come while observing the situations of others and contexts of competitors. For this reason Morandi, thanks to the structure of its Group, has the opportunity to get ideas, best practices, principles and innovations developed in other areas to then adapt them to the steel industry. Thanks to the know-how we have accrued in years of activity in the field, Morandi has turned its knowledge into a heritage of expertise, which it uses to develop in any moment the best solution to market needs. The expertise developed by Morandi s managers and employees on iron and steel products is a fundamental tool for the creation of a culture of steel, to be disseminated in the Group and in the marketplace. Morandi was established in 1973 by Vittorio Morandi. Over the years, the Company has increasingly specialized in trading and in the processing of carbon steel hollow sections. In 1984, Vittorio s son Emanuele Morandi became Managing Director of the Company. In 1993 the business became a joint-stock company and in 2005 it obtained the UNI EN ISO quality certification, and became more competitive and efficient with respect to market demands. The traditional practices of steel distribution, based on commodities and low prices, have become disused. Globalisation and the increasing competition level will put further into question this way of working and businesses will be forced to review its distribution activities. Morandi Spa aims to anticipate this scenario, using the levers of digital technologies and communication to innovate the steel distribution system.

4 logistics a strategic position With its headquarters in Flero, Brescia, close to the main supply markets and outlets, Morandi SPA has two distribution facilities in buildings covering 7,000sq.m. of the 20,000sq m total area. This favourable geographical location gives us the opportunity to rapidly and efficiently manage the logistics system, also thanks to the support of skilled operators in the road haulage & logistics sectors. In a global, interdependent, complex and continuously developing market, logistics has taken on a fundamental role to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, quality and professionalism of the product/service. Morandi SPA can also rely on well-established relationships and on the trust recognised with the most significant and qualified Italian, European and global steel producers, thanks to which it can manage planned supplied with significant benefits from an economic and logistic viewpoint.

8 products for steelworks Carbon steel lances are used by steelworks and foundries at various stages of the steel production. Some types can be used to blow oxygen in electric furnaces to shorten scrap melting time. The lances offered by Morandi are used at later stages, as support to open the discharge hole of the furnace and ladle, to clean the ladle and the tundish as well as a tool to cut and penetrate metals (thermal lance), thanks to the high temperatures it can achieve. Lances are produced using hotformed low carbon steel tubular hollow sections welded longitudinally, under standard UNI EN Morandi SPA serves major steelworks and foundries with a comprehensive range of consumable lances, with diameters ranging from 1/8 to 1 1/2 and thicknesses from 2.00 to 2.90 mm. Available lengths range from 2.00 to 12.00m, with the opportunity of size cut. The company puts threads on the tubes so that the lances can be connected to reach in depth the point of cutting and make up for reduction during combustion. Morandi also provides sleeving, burring and cone-making services of the tips of the lances to improve their performance and adjust them to the installed equipment.

13 structural hollow sections en Cold formed structural hollow sections ensure high mechanical resistance and a high yield point. They are used to make fixed loadbearing structures in civil, industrial and mechanical constructions. Cold formed hollow sections withstand static pressures but show low resilience to shocks and ripping, therefore they are less appropriate for constructions subject to dynamic pressures at low temperatures. The manufacturing of cold formed structural hollow sections is regulated by European standard UNI EN and 2. Morandi SPA trades a wide range of hollow sections EN of grade S 355 J2H. Round hollow sections are available with a diameter of up to 610 mm, square and rectangular hollow sections up to sizes of 500 mm and 20 mm of thickness. 17 structural hollow sections en Hot formed hollow sections ensure higher deformation possibilities and are suitable for uses subject to dynamic forces. Hot formed structural hollow sections can be manufactured by means of various methods: cold formed and subsequently subject to heat treatment, hot formed - where the hollow sections have a lower corner bending radius or manufactured by means of extrusion process. Technical terms of supply are specified in UNI EN standard and 2. Morandi SPA supplies a wide range of hollow sections EN of grade S 355 J2H. Circular hollow sections are available with a diameter of up to 610 mm, square up to 400x400mm and rectangular up to 500x300 mm, and 16 mm of thickness. Thanks to its modern cutting lines, Morandi SPA can execute cuts at executive size with small tolerances on all its hollow sections.
