This product is type IC (insulation contact) rated, and suitable for continuous row mounting. 8. Handle ControRoll TM lens with care! Always wear protective eyewear while handling lens! 5 Installation: Mounting to Structure flush: 3 5 8" regress: 4 3 8" 5 1 4" Install threaded support rod inches above ceiling plane for a flush lens and inches above ceiling plane for regress. Install drywall with inch gap. See submittal drawings for cutout length and exact rod positioning. Note: Finish drywall and paint prior to mounting. Note: End cap not shown for clarity. 1 Install support rod and drywall 3 Raise fixture into ceiling Raise fixture into cutout and ensure correct opening dimensions along fixture length.! SHOCK HAZARD! May result in serious injury or death. Turn power OFF at circuit breaker prior to installation or servicing. DO NOT PINCH OR PUT EXCESSIVE TENSION ON WIRES while joining sections or reattaching end caps. Note: End cap not shown for clarity. 4 Mount fixture to support rods Tighten nut on support rod. Trim should now sit tightly against finished drywall. 2 Connect wiring Remove end cap window cover and punch knock-out. Make connections per wiring diagram on page 11 and secure conduit to window cover. Re-fasten cover ensuring not to pinch wires between parts. SP4R Trim Installation Guide 5 of IG A.0

6 Installation: Installing Emitter 5 Connect emitter wiring Connect wiring quick connects between fixture and emitter assembly. 7B Secure end emitter If joining straight sections, continue with steps If joining miter sections, continue with steps If installing single-section fixtures, go to step Install end emitter Re-install emitter by snapping emitter arms to main extrusion. 7 Installation: Joining Straight Sections! SHOCK HAZARD! May result in serious injury or death. Turn power OFF at circuit breaker prior to installation or servicing. DO NOT PINCH OR PUT EXCESSIVE TENSION ON WIRES while joining sections or reattaching end caps. 10 Connect internal brackets Connect internal brackets with included screws. Make sure there is no gap between fixture segments. See steps 5-7 to install emitter at joint. 8 Connect wiring Connect wiring quick-connects and move joining fixture section into place. 9 Mount to structure Mount joining fixture to structure as shown in steps 3-4. 8 Installation: Joining Mitered Corners! SHOCK HAZARD! May result in serious injury or death. Turn power OFF at circuit breaker prior to installation or servicing. DO NOT PINCH OR PUT EXCESSIVE TENSION ON WIRES while joining sections or reattaching end caps. 13 Connect brackets Screw connector brackets on top and sides with provided 8-32 screws avoiding any gaps between fixtures. See steps 5-7 to install emitter at joint. 11 Connect wiring Connect wiring quick connects between fixtrue sections. 14A Insert diffuser shim Bend provided diffuser shim and insert it into the grooves in side walls of extrusion covering LEDs extending into miter joint. 12 Join miter sections Slide miter sections together and join section connectors. 10 Installation: ControlRoll TM Lens 15 Bring lens to fixture Raise ControlRoll TM lens to fixture. For longer fixture lengths, two people may be needed. Always wear protective eyewear while handling lens. 17A Press lens into lens channel With first edge of lens in lens channel, press other side of lens up toward opposite channel. It may be easier to begin installing lens 2 or more inches from end of fixture. Once inserted, lens can be slid to meet end cap. 16A Insert ControlRoll lens into lens channel Insert one edge ControlRoll lens into lens channel. 17B Press lens into lens channel Push lens upward until it snaps into second lens channel. 16B Insert ControlRoll lens into lens channel 18 Snap lens along fixture Continue pressing both sides of lens into lens channel until lens is fully installed along length of fixture. 12 Troubleshooting Only a certified electrician can service and troubleshoot product field issues. Always turn main power off before servicing fixture. Full Fixture does not illuminate Ensure fixture is wired correctly and power is on. Check that circuit breaker is on and not off or tripped. Internal LED driver may be defective. Ensure no wires are pinched between parts after joining sections or re-attaching end caps. Full fixture is flickering 0-10V, DMX, and DALI Dimming Models: Ensure polarity is correct for DATA + and - connections. Swapping DATA + and - connections can cause flickering. TRIAC Dimming Models: Ensure a compatible TRIAC Forward Phase dimmer is connected to fixture. Call tech support for further information. Possible loose DATA + and - connections from fixture to 0-10V, DMX, or DALI control. Possible loose low voltage DC + or - connection from driver to LED. Call customer support. Fixture section(s) do not illuminate Possible loose low voltage DC + or - connection between LED boards or from LED driver to LED boards. Some fixtures contain multiple LED drivers. In this case, it s possible one of the drivers is defective, which will cause the LED connected to the driver not to illuminate. Call tech support. Ensure no wires are pinched between parts after joining sections or re-attaching end caps. Fixture section(s) are flickering Possible loose low voltage DC + or - connection between LED boards. Fixture does not dim 0-10V, DMX, and DALI Dimming Models: Ensure polarity is correct for DATA + and - connections. Swapping DATA + and - connections can cause flickering. TRIAC Dimming Models: Ensure a compatible TRIAC Forward Phase dimmer is connected to fixture. Call tech support for further information.
