1 Update 74 Title Kingspan Integrated Modular Louvre Date 31 May 2010 The purpose of this envirocare update is to ensure that the reader is aware of the Kingspan Integrated Modular Louvre. Kingspan s Integrated Modular Louvre can be used in conjunction with the AWP (Architectural Wall Panel) range, including the Optimo panel, Render panel and Longspan panel, in a horizontal orientation only. The Louvre is available in cover widths of 600mm, 900mm and 1000mm and thicknesses of 45, 60, 70, 80, 100, 120 and 140mm to suit the AWP (Architectural Wall Panel) sizes. 2 Product Data Sheet Product: Kingspan KS45/60/70/80/100/120/140 - Integrated Modular Louvre System Louvre Section Louvre within Panels Horizontal Integrated modular louvre system GENERAL Factory assembled integrated modular louvre panel, fitted with perimeter frame designed to interface directly with the horizontally laid Kingspan Optimo, Architectural Wall Panel or Longspan panel systems. To suit all panel depths from 45, 60, 70, 80, 100, 120 up to 140mm thick. No requirement for cutting of the insulated panel or the use of weathering flashings/sealants. AVAILABLE SIZES The louvre is available in 600, 900 or 1000mm modules to suit the Kingspan Optimo, Architectural Wall Panel or Longspan panel systems and made up from maximum 3600mm sections. WEIGHT Typical weight for 600mm module is 6.2kg/metre, 900mm is 8.7kg/metre and for 1000mm module is 9.4kg/metre. PERFORMANCE Weather The louvre system has been successfully weather tested on the BSRIA (Building Services Research & Information Association) testing rig. Test report available on request. 3 Product Data Sheet MATERIAL Blades 50mm extruded aluminium architectural weather louvre blades. Spaced vertically at 50mm pitch. Blade design incorporating a top weatherlip for enhanced weathering performance. Extruded from AW 6063 T6; BS EN 755. Head/Cill Interlock Interlock detail developed to suit the horizontally laid Kingspan Optimo, Architectural Wall Panel or Longspan panel systems. Interlock members formed from extruded aluminium incorporating all necessary seals etc. Extruded from AW 6063 T6; BS EN 755. Jambs Side members fabricated from aluminium sheet to EN AW 1050A H14. Fabrication to be carried out with CNC equipment for high precision. OPTIONS Bird Guard Expanded aluminium EN AW 1050A H14 (coated with louvre). Insect Mesh Woven aluminium mesh (fitted after coating). Blanking Plate 1.5mm thick aluminium blanking plate (fitted before coating) or as above fitted with Kingspan Insulation PIR insulation board, stick pinned, to meet U value requirements. Second Pass Weather Blade Interlink 50 high performance extruded aluminium architectural second pass weather louvre blades. Factory fitted in panels to the rear of the louvre panel in modules sized to suit the structure behind the louvre. Extruded from AW 6063 T6; BS EN 755.
