4 Management & Staff PLANIT was established in 1995 and it immediately became a first class company through its production and marketing of objects made of Corian and not only. Planit avails itself of a young and dynamic team of 20 excellent professionals who work in an interactive way on the products. Through constant training and refresher initiatives, Planit perfects its technique and material processing and favours the development of new technologies. 5 Solutions in solid surface The contract sector is, with over 30% of the overall annual sales, one of the most important sectors of the firm. The product portfolio for public spaces includes furniture for hotel, bar and shops as well as public buildings and hospitals. Moreover, in the last years, PLANIT has become one of the leading companies in the sector of bathroom furniture, with own collections of washbasins, showers and bathtubs of the highest quality. 7 Solid Surfaces and Corian The solid surfaces are composite materials, made by natural minerals (2/3) and acrylic resin (1/3). The most established product of these cathegory is the so called Corian, patented by DuPont. PLANIT uses Hanex by Hanwha as alternative material for furniture of public spaces. 8 Manufacturing technique PLANIT uses only advanced machineries and instrumentations. The milling and cut procesess are managed by multiaxes CNC machineries The high flexibility of the shapes is reached through a manual or mechanical thermoforming process. The standard samples can be transformed through specific moulds for a mass produciton. This allows to sink the costs of large quantity productions. Pag. 8

9 Manufacturing technique Our workers are highly specialized in assembling and pasting of the different components through a special stick. This special technique allows to form exclusive products without any visible junctions. After being polished the product follows a strict quality control process, last and highly important phase of the production process In order to avoid storage and transportation damages we use resistant and strong packaging. The packaging and shipping procedures are defined with the costumer, in order to optimize the logistic process. Pag. 9

17 Market and costumer structure With 25 salesmen and many external collaborators, PLANIT is the only italian producer of solid surface having a nationwide established commercial network. In the industrial and health sector we supply with our products businesses like GIVAS, MOLTENI and EUROSTAND. Locally (Trentino-Alto Adige) the firm works with carpentries and furniture factories in the sector of working plans in solid surface. In the Contract sector PLANIT cooperates from many years with many businesses realizing furniture for public spaces and is leader in the sector of solid surfaces for hotels, bar, shops, museums, hospitals and nursing homes. PLANIT has cooperated nationwide with many architects in different well-known projects (mostly in the hotel sector), establishing its position nationwide. Moreover the amount of camping relying on solid surface product, for their durability, is increasing every year.
