STA have Senior Engineers with MIEAust, RPEQ, NPER, Vic and NT qualifications as well as a range of graduate engineers and technicians to provide the right support for clients. STA specialise in the residential market with extensive cross over into commercial work. The company opened our doors in 1991 and we offer a lot more to our clients than just a specialised consulting firm. STA completes over jobs a month across all engineering disciples, so we have the ability to design a project holistically from soil testing, foundation design and all structural requirements of the project. Over the last 7 years, we have been a key player in the BER government school projects, done a large portion of the McDonalds, Hungry Jacks and other Hospitality work in QLD, NSW and NT. Our scope now includes multi storey towers, industrial and commercial buildings. Our experience allows us to provide a fully integrated solution between LGSF and other structures. 7 COMMERCIAL CASE STUDY RESIDENTIAL CASE STUDY Project Brisbane State High School Completion Date 2014 Client Fleetwood Value $5,000,000 Project Paddington Tce, Gold Coast Completion Date 2013/4 Client Condev Construction Value $40,000,000 Brisbane State High School has installed temporary classrooms during the renovation phase on the main campus over the next 3 years. This modular project involves 22 classrooms, 2 science labs, amenities and 1 staff room. This project was all constructed offsite and craned in over a 24 hr period. STA is proud to continue this great relationship with Fleetwood on this project. STA designed and certified the Walls, Roofs, Chassis and Structural Steel on this project. 82 residence Paddington Robina in Gold Coast City has been named the winner of the Urban Development Institute of Australia s Queensland 2013 Medium Density Development Large award. Condev have incorporated Steel frames as their framing preference on most of their projects. STA designed and certified the Walls, Roofs, Floor Joists and Structural Steel on this project. 07

8 DESIGN SOFTWARE STA use specialized software developed for our industry as well as proprietary software for LGSF engineering. By having a suite of sectional properties ready to go, we are able to provide the smartest solutions for your projects without excessive design redundancies factored in to the calculations. Most of the different sectional properties in the industry are documented and ready to be used on your next project. We don t want to be behind the 8-ball when clients require results in a timely manner. DESIGN DOCUMENTATION Another service STA offers our clients is the publication of key design and technical manuals. STA analyse, design and produce Span Charts, Compliance Certificates and other technical documents to facilitate smarter business tools. We believe that technical information is fundamental to a successful business as this information is used daily by estimators, detailers, external clients and council/certifiers. 9 RESEARCH + DEVELOPMENT The team at STA continually strive to improve what we do and the solutions we offer our clients. In a number of applications, LGSF has significant benefits over other building materials like timber which require testing to demonstrate these benefits. Great examples we have seen recently is Fire Resistance in Australia and earthquake shake testing done in NZ. While these tests are great for the LGSF industry generally, there are numerous localised R&D that can be done to benefit your business. The results are valuable and create a real point of difference for your business.
