Technical Characteristics

is a mortar made by mineral wool and hydraulic binders, dry and inorganic, manufactured by Inabensa Protisa, developed specifically for fire protection of building elements. It is manufactured through a rigorous quality control that ensures the product is always equal to what was being tested in accredited official laboratories. In addition to its excellent properties in terms of passive fire protection, it provides excellent sound absorption, works as a condensation control element and it is an excellent thermal insulation product.

It is applied by spraying directly onto the support, quickly and easily using special pneumatic machine. Because of its flexibility is ideally suited to protect any support without cracks, one great advantage over traditional mortars. Adhesion is perfect in any support, no intermediate fixing mesh is necessary below 70 mm. thickness. Features: Grayish white. Uniform rough appearance. Various finishing options: raw, smoothed with a roller Paintable product. Excellent elastic thermal barrier without seams or joints. Protects against steel corrosion. Not toxic or pathogenic, is exempt from asbestos and crystalline silica in the free state. It does not emit toxic gases or hazardous in case of fire. It does not contains gypsum plaster. It is not attacked by fungi or rodents. Highly effective sound absorber Recommended uses: Construction: In edification it is used principally for fire protection of steel structures, composite slabs, concrete slabs, etc

General Application: is applied by a pneumatic spraying machine Depends of thickness it will be applied in two or more layers, applying successive layers of approximately 15 mm. each one. The preparation of steel prior to application of the primer is done according to the criteria defined in the data sheet for that product. Steel support must be clean, dust free, grease free, free oil and totally dry for a perfect mortar adherence. In case of old support, it must be free oxide and without corrosion. If corrosion exists, it must be removed by mechanical means, preferably by sandblasting, and should be applied an epoxi primer or similar. Although it is not necessary, support adherence could be improved using appropriate union bridges.

Finish: It is possible to get a final flat finish with trowel or similar few minutes after it had been projected. If needed a product with greater mechanical resistance to impacts and scratches, you can apply a finish layer by spraying special hardeners products. If it is necessary it could be used a compatible paint to protect from aggressive environment or just for aesthetic purposes.

Bags are made with double leaf of Krafft paper with a polyethylene inner sheet. Storage. It should be stored off the ground, in a dry and covered place, protected from humidity and temperatures below 4ºC. With a correct storage the product is suitable for use during 12 months after manufacturing. Over this time limit, suitable use will depend of storage conditions and client responsibility. Security. To manipulate the product use dust mask, gloves and safety glasses. The product safety data sheet describes the security considerations
