1 Namakwa Sands ~ New Ilminite Belt Filter Project 220 tons of Multi Story Support Buildings, Conveyor Gantries, Trestles & Take-up Tower UNION STEEL was awarded the contract to detail, fabricate, blast and paint structural steelwork, plate-work and piping for The New Ilminite Belt Filter Project for the Namakwa Sands Mining Site situated in Brand se Baai on the Western Cape Coast near Lutzville. The UNION STEEL construction contract included the erection of all steel structures, open grid flooring, roof sheeting, sidewall cladding, Bondlok permanent formwork, shear studs, platework and piping, and the installation and commissioning of all mechanical components including the specially designed and ordered Belt Filter. The five 22m Tripper Conveyor Gantries were assembled complete with walkways, handrails, flooring, conveyor supports and tripper car rails in our workshops in Epping Industria Cape Town, and transported as Abnormal Loads 400km to the job site in Brand se Baai. 2 Namakwa Sands ~ New UMM Project Multi Story Support Buildings and ROM Bin Plate-work UNION STEEL was awarded the contract to detail, fabricate, blast and paint structural steelwork, and plate-work for The New UMM Project for the Namakwa Sands Mining Site situated in Brand se Baai on the Western Cape Coast near Lutzville. The UNION STEEL contract included the fabrication and painting of two multistorey mining structures, and the fabrication and painting of platework for a 5m x 5m ROM Bin. Client: Tronox Consulting Engineers: Bateman Minerals Main Contractor: SMEI Projects Tonnage: 140 tonnes Namakwa Sands ~ New Cantilever Conveyor 401 Cantilever Conveyor Structure Client: Tronox Consulting Engineers: Consultauri Main Contractor: EPC Tonnage: 170 tonnes UNION STEEL was awarded the contract to detail, fabricate, blast & paint, and erect structural steelwork for a large cantilever stock pile conveyor at the Namakwa Sands Mine site in Brand se Baai. The structure was erected in record time in blustery winter weather and under strict health and safety conditions.

3 Swakop Uranium HUSAB Mine ~ Coarse Ore Stockpile Building 1600 tons Large Span Stockpile Building with Tripper Car Gantries. UNION STEEL was awarded the contract to detail, fabricate, blast and paint structural steelwork, and platework for The new Stockpile Building for Swakop Uranium s new HUSAB Mine situated 60km East of Swakopmund, Namibia. The UNION STEEL contract included the delivery and erection of 1600 tons of steelwork, and m² of sheeting and cladding. Client: Swakop Uranium Project Engineers: HPJV Consulting Engineers: WAH Engineers Tonnage: 1600 tons Sheeting: m² UNION STEEL used innovative Strand- Jacking lifting methods to erect the 4 Tripper Conveyor Gantries. Heaviest lift was 147 tons lifted 38m above ground level.

4 Swakop Uranium HUSAB Mine ~ Pipe Racks & Support Structures Multi-level Pipe and Cable Support Racks and Equipment Support Structures UNION STEEL was awarded the contract to detail, fabricate, blast & paint, and deliver structural steelwork, for Pipe & Cable Racks and Equipment Support Structures for Swakop Uranium s new HUSAB Mine situated 60km East of Swakopmund, Namibia. The UNION STEEL contract included the erection of 500 tons of this steelwork. 600 tons was supplied free issue and erected by our client. Client: Swakop Uranium Project Engineers: HPJV Consulting Engineers: HPJV Tonnage: 1100 tons Swakop Uranium HUSAB Mine ~ Ancillary Workshops & Stores Various Workshops and Storage Warehouses. UNION STEEL was awarded the contract to detail, fabricate, blast and paint structural steelwork, for Various Ancillary Workshop and Stores Buildings for Swakop Uranium s new HUSAB Mine situated 60km East of Swakopmund, Namibia. The UNION STEEL contract included the delivery and erection of 1600 tons of steelwork, and m² of sheeting & cladding. 5 De Beers Marine ARDC Project ~ Process Plants Off-shore Diamond Mining Process Plants: Steelwork / Plate-work / Piping / Mechanicals UNION STEEL was awarded the complete SMPP contract to detail, fabricate, blast & paint, and deliver structural steelwork, platework rubber lining, piping and ancillary items for three process plants for the new MV Sam Nujoma diamond sampling vessel for De Beers Marine. The contract included the quay-side erection of the treatment plants, and included the erection of structural steelwork, plate-work, piping, flooring, handrails, and mechanical equipment. 6 ChromTech, Lonmin, Marikana ~ Chrome Recovery Plant Multi-Storey Process Plant: Steelwork / Cladding / Plate-work / Piping / Mechanicals Client: ChromTech Holdings (Pty) Ltd Project Engineers: ChromTech Holdings (Pty) Ltd Consulting Engineers: ChromTech Holdings (Pty) Ltd Tonnage: 590 tons UNION STEEL was awarded the complete SMPP contract to detail, fabricate, hot dip galvanize, blast and paint, and deliver structural steelwork, plate-work, rubber lining, piping and ancillary items for Chromtech s New Tailings Re-Treatment Plant at Lonmin s Marikana Platinum Mine. The project includes the hydraulic remining of the Platinum Group Metals Tailings and the extraction of Chromite by gravity separation. The UNION STEEL contract was for the construction of the Recovery Plant included the erection of structural steelwork, plate-work, piping, flooring, handrails, and free issue mechanical equipment; including pumps, spirals and HDPE Lauder Systems.
