To overtighten may cause buckling or dimpling of some parts. NOTE: Read installation instructions thoroughly before starting assembly. Pour concrete only after final assembly is completed. Bracing material is required during assembly. N OTE: Assembly and leveling time will be greatly reduced if a transit is used to set location and depth of ground holes. N OTE: Place a brick or equivalent at the bottom of ground holes (where shown), to provide a solid foundation. Allow for this in the hole depth. STEP : Dig holes according to Ground Plan. NOTE: Due to extremes in weather and soil conditions, hole size may have to be increased to meet local conditions. SET-UP INSTRUCTIONS 3 S TEP 2: Attach the Extensions (if required) to the Parallel Bars using Detail 'C'. Place Parallel Bars into holes making sure they rest on the brick. S TEP 3: Level Parallel Bars using sway bracing. N OTE: It is recommended that 2" x " braces be cut the same lengths as the distance between each set of Parallel Bars noted on Assembly Drawing. Use the braces between bars to hold distance until concrete is poured and cured. STEP : Pour concrete according to the footing details. Allow 8 hours minimum for concrete to harden before using and removing sway braces. NOTE: Use loctite (supplied by others) on all threaded hardware.

10 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS.) Before starting assembly, review the General Installation Instructions at the beginning of this Installation Guide and the Typical Assembly Details in the back. 2.) Determine proper location for Sit-Up Station. Refer to Equipment Layout Plan provided and any applicable project site drawings. 3.) Dig footings for bench supports. Maintain footing spacing, size and depth as indicated on the ground plan. Refer to Detail 32. Allow for depth of desired Finished Surface..) Attach four legs to the bench. Refer to Detail E. 5.) Attach footrail assembly to bench. See Detail E5. 6.) Position assembled bench in footings; align, plumb, and brace bench in place. Pour concrete as shown on Detail 32. Be sure to hold top of concrete footing '-6" [5.2cm] down from the Finished Surface. Slope top of concrete for proper drainage. 7.) Refer to Sign Frame Installation Sheet for instructions on Sign mounting. 8.) Allow concrete a minimum of 8 hours to cure and harden before using bench. SPECIFICATIONS BENCH LEG: Shall be made of -7/8" O.D. galvanized pipe. BENCH ASSEMBLY: Shall be fabricated of punched steel metal with a plastisol coating. FOOTRAIL ASSEMBLY: Shall be an all-welded construction fabricated of 3-/2" O.D. (3 gauge) galvanized pipe, -5/6" O.D. galvanized pipe, 3/6" x 3" H.R. flat steel, and galvanized pipe cap. Final assembly shall also include cast aluminum caps and self-sealing pop rivets. FINISH: The Bench Legs, Footrail Assembly and Handrail Assembly shall all have a powder coat finish. HARDWARE: All nuts, bolts, screws, inserts, and lockwashers used in the assembly of all play equipment, shall be stainless steel, yellow dichromate plated steel, blue-coat plated steel, mechanically galvanized or powder coated/yellow dichromate plated steel. All primary fasteners shall be 3 series stainless steel. Fasteners with yellow dichromate treatment have an electro deposited, 99.9% pure zinc substrate applied from a specially formulated solution sealed with a yellow dichromate top coat designed to work in conjunction with the zinc plating. Yellow dichromate has a 32% longer life to white corrosion and 275% longer to red corrosion than does hot-dip galvanizing. To overtighten may cause buckling or dimpling of some parts. NOTE: Read installation instructions thoroughly before starting assembly. Pour concrete only after final assembly is complete. Bracing material may be required during assembly. NOTE: Do not tighten any nuts, bolts, rods, etc. until the unit is completely assembled. NOTE: Assembly and leveling time will be greatly reduced if a transit is used to set location and depth of ground holes. NOTE: Due to extremes in weather and soil conditions, hole sizes may have to be increased to meet local conditions. STEP : Mark hole locations using Chin-Up Bars as template. STEP 2: Dig required holes and place a brick or equivalent at the bottom of holes (where shown) to provide a solid foundation. Allow for this in hole depth. See Detail 32. STEP 3: Lay all legs on ground arranged as required. Begin assembly Bars using Detail 86. After all Bars are in place, set the legs in the holes. Level all legs and cross bars and support them with wood or wire guys until the unit is ready for use. Be sure each leg is standing on a solid foundation block. STEP : Pour concrete to within '-" [3.8cm] of ground level and fill remaining with compacted subgrade and surfacing, Per Detail 32. Allow a minimum of 8 hours for concrete to cure and harden before using Chin-Up Station. SPECIFICATIONS NOTE: THIS INSTALLATION BOOKET SHOULD BE KEPT IN CUSTOMER'S FILE FOR FUTURE REFERENCE. 34 STOP IMPORTANT PRODUCT INFORMATION AND SAFETY WARNINGS STOP Installation over a hard surface such as concrete, asphalt, or packed earth may result in serious injury or death from fails. Especially all elevated upper-body strength building equipement. ALWAYS FOLLOW INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS WHEN ERECTING EQUIPMENT. Worn surfaces around equipment should be restored. Concrete footings should never be exposed. Surface depth should comply with installation instructions. Equipment should be placed to eliminate conflicting traffic patterns. All equipment should be free of rust and repainted whenever necessary to deter rusting. All protruding nuts and bolts should be covered; sharp edges on pipes should be capped or removed. Check for bent, broken or severely worn pipe and replace. Test overall stability and rigidity of all exercise equipment. Check for proper assembly, installation and ground anchoring. Check for and repair damage caused by wear or vandalism, a major factor in injury-causing situations. GameTime PROVIDES ITS CUSTOMERS WITH COMPLETE SPECIFICATION SHEETS AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS. THE SPECIFICATION SHEET CONTAINS THE LISTING OF EVERY PART USED IN A PIECE OF EQUIPMENT AND SHOULD BE KEPT IN THE CUSTOMER'S FILES FOR ACCURATE REFERENCE WHEN REPLACEMENT PARTS ARE NEEDED. Never add components not intended for use with this product. Regular checking of all parts, castings, etc. should be made. If a part is broken or worn it should be replaced immediately. Proper maintenance of GameTime equipment requires regular tightening of all bolts, nuts, and set screws. Check to be sure all fittings are tight and that the bars and pipes do not move. PAGE 3
