3 " CHAIRMAN S STATEMENT ABOUT US The establishment of SHAFA in 1982 stems from a very modest beginning as a subcontractor with less than 20 employees, some of which still with us today. Our goal to success has always been to maximize the value of our services and deliver to the best of our client s satisfaction that would see them come to us for more. Today with over three decades of experience and in-house expertise developed from a wide range of highly diverse and global projects, SHAFA has demonstrated its capability to undertake and deliver complex projects within time and budget to a portfolio of international clients. We have proven to become a reliable partner to deliver successful projects that often sees us working with the same partners on several other projects after. Established in 1982 under the leadership of its founder and current chairman Mr. Abdoshamakh Nasser Alshebani. SHAFA has gradually expanded from a small sized sub-contractor with less than 20 employees to become one major international player in contracting services and engineering with over 1,000 employees. With the skills and expertise gained over the 35 years since its establishment, SHAFA can provide its clients with the best and most competitive services. It has focused on its key competencies which lie in the disciplines of, Supply of Ready Mix Concrete and Design & Build Civil and Marine Construction. However, has diversified to provide in-house HVAC and electro-mechanical services, agricultural development and Integrated Logistics services. Joined SHAFA in 2008 and he is holding a degree in BCOM. Began his career with SHAFA in 2003 and he is holding a degree of MSC Architecture. Joined Shafa in 2007 and holding Bachelor degree in Science. Mr. Mohammed defines the company s long-term strategic goals & implements the Chairman s vision. Mr. Saji is managing the overall financial leadership, including the oversight of group financial strategy, financial reporting and the corporate finance. Mr. Aref plays an integral role in managing all aspects of the company s project operations. He ensures project sites are running efficiently and effectively while maintaining project schedule and budget. Mr. Shinde is actively involved in the management of Shafa Business & responsible to provide best services to the customers. Responsible for the operation of ready mix business & takes necessary measures to produce quality product & preventive maintenance of plants and machineries. He is involved in all aspects of the company from construction projects management, budget control, standards, procedures and investments. Mr. Mohammed is a graduate in BSC with Hons in Construction Project Management from Aston University-UK. Mr. Saji also investigates ways to improve profitability, and analyze markets for business opportunities, such as expansion, mergers or acquisitions. He is ensuring all targets and objectives set by management are met. The implementation of safety and quality is his highest priority on any of his sites. His experience working under tight deadlines makes him a valuable asset to any project team. He ensures to develop & manage the strategies, plan and budgets, while ensuring compliance of all the regulation with labor, safety, environment and corporate policies.

7 CIVIL WORKS Civil construction really forms the basis of SHAFA activities. For over 25 years we have accumulated expertise in civil construction projects around the world. ELECTRO MECHANICAL SHAFA has an in-house skilled electromechanical engineers capable of designing and executing electrical and mechanical works in industrial and residential projects. SHAFA delivers its services in a number of different ways, each dependent upon and tailored toward the needs of its clients. 8 MARINE WORKS READY MIX CONCRETE SHAFA have developed expertise in contracting services in port development. Upland port development has become a key part of our services that we offer. We have worked as a main contractor on port development projects around the world for clients Hyundai, Dubai Ports World (DP world) and Abu Dhabi Port Company (ADPC). SHAFA has further specialized in the design and development of world class marines. We have set up on site concrete batching plants in many countries around the world, some in remote locations, and have developed a team of experts and contacts that can deliver concrete to client needs and specifications, in addition to in-house laboratories to ensure concrete is produced to the highest standards of quality. The environment is paramount in any installation our companies are associated with and all efforts are taken to ensure that dust and noise emissions are controlled while water is recycled and any waste concrete is either re-used on site works or disposed of in accordance with good practice.
