6 Slide Bearing Materials Many sliding applications are characterized by high thermal load. Standard sliding materials made of thermoplastics cannot be used here frequently as they are not sufficiently rigid at higher temperatures. Slide Bearing Materials have been developed specifically for use in higher temperatures and pressure loads. Sliding Applications In thermally loaded sliding applications in particular, the Slide Bearing Materials have distinct advantages compared to conventional sliding materials.
