5 Installation: Mounting to Structure 6 1 2"! SHOCK HAZARD! May result in serious injury or death. Turn power OFF at circuit breaker prior to installation or servicing. DO NOT PINCH OR PUT EXCESSIVE TENSION ON WIRES while joining sections or reattaching end caps. 1 Install framing Install framing with in. spacing for fixture. Check blocking for straightness, alignment, and consistent in. spacing along length. For vertical installations, add blocking across opening at bottom end of fixture. 4 Connect wiring Take off end cap window cover and punch knock-out. Make connections per wiring diagram on page 11 and secure conduit to window cover. Re-fasten cover back ensuring not to pinch wires between parts. 2 Raise fixture into blocking Raise fixture to blocking and ensure correct spacing along fixture length. 5 Remove protective film Remove protective film on fixture. You may reuse it after lens is installed to protect fixture from dust, scratches, and other debris until it is commissioned. 3 Screw fixture to blocking Screw fixture to blocking through attached flange. 6 Installation: Joining Straight Sections If joining straight sections, continue with steps 6-8. If joining miter sections, continue with steps If installing single-section fixtures, go to step 13. 7A Connect brackets Loosen set screws using 1/8 allen key and slide section connectors on one section until they are approximately 1/4 apart.! SHOCK HAZARD! May result in serious injury or death. Turn power OFF at circuit breaker prior to installation or servicing. DO NOT PINCH OR PUT EXCESSIVE TENSION ON WIRES while joining sections or reattaching end caps. 7B Connect brackets Tighten set screws on connector bracket and attach both fixtures with included #8 screws. 6 Connect wiring Connect wiring quick-connects and move joining fixture section into place. 8 Screw fixture to blocking Screw fixture to blocking through attached flange. 7 Installation: Joining Mitered Corners! SHOCK HAZARD! May result in serious injury or death. Turn power OFF at circuit breaker prior to installation or servicing. DO NOT PINCH OR PUT EXCESSIVE TENSION ON WIRES while joining sections or reattaching end caps. 11 Connect brackets Screw connector brackets on top and sides with provided 8-32 screws avoiding any gaps between fixtures. 9 Connect wiring Connect wiring quick connects between fixtrue sections. 12A Insert diffuser shim Bend provided diffuser shim and insert it into the grooves in side walls of extrusion covering LEDs extending into miter joint. 10 Join miter sections Slide miter sections together and join section connectors. 9 Installation: Mud-In Finishing 1 1 4" 13A Install drywall Install drywall around fixture. Drywall should sit against edge of perforated flange. Screw drywall to blocking. Screws should be drilled approximately 1 1 4" from edge of perforated flange. 15 Apply mud Apply mud with trowel. Once mud dries, sand for a smooth finish. Do not get mud onto lens or inside fixture. 13B Install drywall 16 Paint Finish with paint. Do not get paint onto exposed portions of fixture or lens. 14 Apply mud tape Apply mud tape. 10 Installation: ControlRoll TM Lens 17 Bring lens to fixture Raise ControlRoll lens to fixture. For longer fixture lengths, two people may be needed. Always wear protective eyewear while handling lens. 19A Press lens into lens channel With first edge of lens in lens channel, press other side of lens up toward opposite channel. It may be easier to begin installing lens 2 or more inches from end of fixture. Once inserted, lens can be slid to meet end cap. 18A Pop in ControlRoll TM lens Insert one edge ControlRoll lens into lens channel. 19B Press lens into lens channel Push lens upward until it snaps into second lens channel. 18B Insert ControlRoll lens into lens channel Insert lens into lens channel. 20 Snap lens along fixture Continue pressing both sides of lens into lens channel until lens is fully installed along length of fixture. 12 Troubleshooting Only a certified electrician can service and troubleshoot product field issues. Always turn main power off before servicing fixture. Full Fixture does not illuminate Ensure fixture is wired correctly and power is on. Check that circuit breaker is on and not off or tripped. Internal LED driver may be defective. Ensure no wires are pinched between parts after joining sections or re-attaching end caps. Full fixture is flickering 0-10V, DMX, and DALI Dimming Models: Ensure polarity is correct for DATA + and - connections. Swapping DATA + and - connections can cause flickering. TRIAC Dimming Models: Ensure a compatible TRIAC Forward Phase dimmer is connected to fixture. Call tech support for further information. Possible loose DATA + and - connections from fixture to 0-10V, DMX, or DALI control. Possible loose low voltage DC + or - connection from driver to LED. Call customer support. Fixture section(s) do not illuminate Possible loose low voltage DC + or - connection between LED boards or from LED driver to LED boards. Some fixtures contain multiple LED drivers. In this case, it s possible one of the drivers is defective, which will cause the LED connected to the driver not to illuminate. Call tech support. Ensure no wires are pinched between parts after joining sections or re-attaching end caps. Fixture section(s) are flickering Possible loose low voltage DC + or - connection between LED boards. Fixture does not dim 0-10V, DMX, and DALI Dimming Models: Ensure polarity is correct for DATA + and - connections. Swapping DATA + and - connections can cause flickering. TRIAC Dimming Models: Ensure a compatible TRIAC Forward Phase dimmer is connected to fixture. Call tech support for further information.
