4 Existing conditions Gate deterioration Water drainage issues Redpath Hall stairs deterioration Underground water mains need to be upgraded.

5 Project description Restoration of the gate itself. Resurfacing of the roadway/sidewalk. Addition of bike racks, hydraulic bollards. Improve lighting. Improve connection with University Centre terrace. Waterproof Redpath Hall foundation (north side only). Redpath Hall stairs reconstruction. Replacement of 2 water mains and addition of a meter chamber.

7 Leacock Amphitheatre Project

8 Existing conditions Leacock Building (1965) façades and foundation show varying degrees of damages and deterioration. Concrete structure west and south of Leacock has deteriorated over time due to water infiltration and insufficient drainage capacity.

9 Project description Phase I Leacock Building: Repairs to façades and exterior glass walls ( curtain walls ) Improvements to vestibules to make them universally accessible Waterproofing of the foundation Phase II - Areas south and west of Leacock Building: Will be demolished, rebuilt and redesigned Will be transformed into a multi-purpose exterior amphitheatre.

17 University Centre Replacement of HVAC system & electrical distribution Project

18 Existing conditions Ventilation system and perimeter heating systems are obsolete (1965); replacement parts are no longer available. Electrical distribution system also needs to be replaced.

19 Project description Replace entire existing HVAC system. Build new mechanical room for kitchen HVAC system in basement of the building. Replace the building s electrical distribution systems. Addition of a new washroom given high building occupancy. Bring building up to the most recent building codes with respect to the electromechanical systems.

21 Bensadoun School of Retail Management Project

22 Project description Phase 1: Renovation of the east façade and part of the south façade of the Bronfman Building for the Bensadoun School of Retail Management (part of the Desautels Faculty of Management). Phase 2: Renovation of a section of the main and second floors of the Bronfman Building for the Bensadoun School of Retail Management.

27 Project update Work completed: Lot 0: users moved out in September 2017 Lot 1: selective demolition and partial asbestos decontamination in January 2018 Work to come: Lot 2: complete demolition and asbestos decontamination by July 2018 Lot 3: tender process by May and June 2018 for fit-out Tentative end date: by Winter 2020 (Lot 3/fit-out - substantial completion)

33 Project update Work completed: North and south sections of Macdonald wing: reconstruction of masonry walls to be completed by end of April 2018 Work to come: Central section of the Macdonald wing: masonry restoration and rain water management interventions Electrical wing: masonry restoration and roof replacement. Tentative end date: Full project completion by spring of 2019.

35 Project update Work completed: Rehabilitation of monument incl. foundation, two center columns and stonework Improvement of drainage system Renovation of half-moon by the city Installation of paving stones and landscaping on east side Work to come: Complete the replacement of underground electrical cables and conduit infrastructure. Installation of granite benches, hydraulic and fixed bollards, new lighting and interactive wayfinding tactile screen. Landscaping and furniture installation on the west side Tentative completion date: May 2018
