Foundation drawing and Kiosk design is shown. ii. Brick work in Sub-Structure with 1 st class brick work (1:6) and for Super-Structure (1:5). iii. Gutka paneling 3 feet high on outside walls. iv. Roofing of RCC Pre-Cast Slabs and girder type of renowned manufacturers Izhar, Banu Mukhtar, Gondal, Ravi etc. v. Roof Treatment with Conventional Method 2X Coat Transverse of hot applied bitumen compound, single layer of polythene sheet 7 gauge, 3 layer of mud and top layer with hard burnt clay tiles 4 ½ X 9 X ½ with (1:3) grouting. vi. Plastering with 1:4 with local sand. vii. Flooring earth fills with Silt (kasso) up to required level and compaction. 4 layer of local Sand. 3 layer of PCC 1:4:8. 2 layer of PCC 1:2:4 and toping with terrazzo mix ¾ thick (1:1 ½) with rubbing and polishing. 2 viii. Two stair steps at both doors according to given design. ix. Glass Windows sliding made with 8mm Glass (Medium Brown Colour tinted) and good quality aluminum combination as per given drawing / image. (Champaign colour) x. Choghats: Choghats made with good quality aluminum (Champaign colour) for proper handling of door. xi. Doors: 8mm Glass (Medium Brown Colour tinted) with aluminum (Champaign colour) border 4 width at all sides of door. Fitting within aluminum choghat with Kabza. xii. Soling / Pathway in front of both doors 4 wide, 70 length approx. xiii. Painting: Enamel paint for wooden and metal elements (if required) and vinyl emulsion internal walls and weather shield external walls. General Terms and Conditions: (In case of non-compliance of marked with (*) items, proposal will not be considered for further evaluation) 1. Tender must accompanied with a Pay Order / Demand Draft amounting to Rs. 500/- (nonrefundable) as tender fee favouring Virtual University of Pakistan. Tender without tender fee shall not be accepted. 2. Notice issued in the press is part of this tender document. 3. Late proposals will not be entertained. No telegraphic or faxed bid will be accepted. 4. VU takes no responsibility for delay, loss or non-receipt of bids sent by post / courier. 5. Interested bidders shall quote the rates (including materials and services) inclusive of all applicable taxes for VU Head Office, Lahore on Turnkey basis. (Please mention all taxes separately). No extra charges of carriage and raw material etc. will be paid. Quoted prices shall be considered inclusive of all taxes if not clearly mentioned in the bid. 6. Site can be visit in any working day before the tender opening date and time during working hours. 7. Sealed tenders shall be submitted on the official letterhead of the firm with office seal and signature. (*) 8. The bidder must be a registered tax payer with FBR on Active Tax Payer List (ATL) and certificate must be attached for NTN and GST. (If GST is exempted, please provide necessary evidence). (*) 9. The bidder must attach alongwith the bid, earnest money equal to 5% of maximum bid price or price of maximum option inclusive of all taxes (returnable to unsuccessful bidders after finalization of tender) in shape of PO / CDR / DD (Cheques shall not be entertained) favouring Virtual University of Pakistan. Earnest money of successful bidder shall be retained till supply of material and completion of work. (*) 10. The rates offered should be valid for a period of three (03) months from the date of opening of tender. All rates will be firm & final and no variation whatsoever shall be acceptable to VU within the above validity period. 11. Interested parties will send their quote inclusive of all duties, taxes, carriage for VU Head Office, Lahore and other levies payable, if any, for the units; but the rates thereof may be mentioned separately. 12. The bidder will be bound to get confirmation / approval of materials before execution of work, from the Estate Department. 13. VU has the right to call the samples of any item which will be used in the work, as and when required. 14. All items must be A quality; substandard items will be rejected. Page 2 of 5

3 15. Work order(s) will be issued with estimated area, final billing shall be based on actual measurement of area which must be verified from Estate Department. 16. Bidder will be bound to complete the ordered work within the time mentioned in work orders, in case of delay in completion of work, an appropriate penalty will be imposed as per Govt. rules. 17. The work and material items, which will be delivered, should conform to the standard specifications & free from defects and same as per approved sample provided / inspected before the execution of work. 18. The Payment will be made upon submission of proper Invoice within working days after the completion of work subject to the verification from the site Estate Department. 19. The quotes alongwith above documents / information should reach the Procurement Department, Virtual University of Pakistan, not later than 11:30am on November 20, Bids will be opened at 12:00 noon on the same date in the Office of the Director Finance, Virtual University of Pakistan in the presence of bidders or their authorized representatives who may choose to attend. 20. The University reserves the right to accept or reject the bids or annul the procurement process at any time as prescribed under PPRA Rules. EVALUATION CRITERIA: i.
