Sir, Sealed quotation on behalf of The Head, ICAR-IISWC, RC-Vasad for work of Repair of link road to experimental area in DC-II located behind Farm office at ICAR-IISWC, RC-Vasad, Anand, Gujarat. The quotation/financial bid (Annexure-I) should be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to The Head, ICAR-IISWC, Research Centre, Opposite Vasad Railway Station, Vasad , Anand, Gujarat superscripted with the words Repair of link road " on the outer cover of the envelope by Speed Post/Registered Post or dropped in quotation box kept on ground floor of main office building of the ICAR-IISWC, RC, Vasad, Anand, Gujarat latest by 10 th October 2018 up to 15:00 hrs at the address given above. The quotations will be opened on the same day at 15:30 hrs where you or your representative may be present, failing which, it will be opened in your/his absence. The description of work is given as under: Scope of work: Total length of road: Approx. 100 m, Width of road: 3.0 m, thickness of road layers: 0.15 m stone aggregate of 50 mm size, 0.25 m thickness of stone pitching of size 22.5 cm and dressing top surface with 0.15 m thick compacted soil layer. Earthwork: The excavated earth scraped by smoothening of bottom surface and drainage channel of cross-section m to be made on both the sides of the road is to be lifted and spread uniformly over the dry stone pitching with minimum thickness of 0.15 m including breaking of soil clods, watering, rolling the layer with roller and dressing up of surface and embankment of road on both sides. 2. Aggregate work: Providing and laying of stone aggregate of 50 mm size is to be spread uniformly above finished soil surface of 100 m in length, 3.0 m in width, with minimum thickness of 0.15 m and compacted throughout using rollers. Approx. Quantity 45 cu. m. 1

2 3. Cement concrete work: Providing and laying of five quantity of concrete check walls to support the compacted soil, dry stone pitching and stone aggregate. The check wall of size 3.0 m length (across the road), 0.8 m depth (with 0.25 m in foundation), 0.3 m in thickness at a spacing of 20 m from starting point of the road with cement concrete grade of 1:3:6 with 20 mm graded gravel including watering, stamping, ramming, smoothing, finishing and curing etc. 4. Stone pitching work: Providing and laying of dry stone pitching (22.5 cm in size) over the compacted layer of stone aggregate (50 mm in size) with minimum thickness of 0.25 m, including finishing and levelling by uniformly spreading of excavated soil up to 0.15 m above dry stone pitching cu. m. A PRE-BID meeting of all potential bidders will be organized on 03 rd October 2018 at 15:00 hrs in Meeting Room, Research Centre-Vasad to clerify issue, pertaining to diffferent items listed for quotations. Hence all biddders are requested to participate in the meeting to ensure appropriate assessment of quantities for probable prices to be offered so that good services are provided without hindrances whatsoever it may be. However, the site may be inspected on any day during office hours of 9:30 to 17:00 hrs. TERMS & CONDITIONS: 1. List of Documents to be attached with the bid submission by the bidder. a. Demand Draft/Pay Order of any Scheduled Bank against EMD for Rs. 5500/- (Rupees Five thousand five hundred only). b. Enlistment Order of the Contractor for working in the area where the work has to be executed). c. Certificate of Registration for GST, PAN. d. Copy of PAN Card. e. Income tax return of last year f. Work experience in related jobs. 2. EMD will be released after completion of quotation process/codal formalities. 3. The successful bidder will have to deposit 8% security money of the quoted value/approved work before starting the work in the form of FDR which will be released after one year of satisfactory completion of work. 4. The work is expected to be completed within the stipulated time i.e. 30 days from the date of issue of the work order. But not late than 60 days, failing which penalty will be per month (maximum 10%) of the total amount of the bill. 5. You may contact The Head, ICAR-IISWC, RC-Vasad for any clarification regarding the work during any office day in office hours of 9:30 to 17:00 hrs. 6. The payment will be made after completion of work satisfactorily and submission of prereceipted bill. Payment will be made to your bank account through PFMS. 7. The deduction of necessary taxes as applicable will be made from the bill of the contractor. 8. All provisions of labour laws of the land should be followed and proof of deposit of EPF, ESI/WC, etc. in respect of staff engaged in the work should be submitted at the time of submission of bills. 2

3 9. In case of any loss/ theft/ sabotage to the Institute property, the department reserves the right to impose liquidity damages. The Head, ICAR-IISWC, RC-Vasad reserves the right to cancel all the quotations or part thereof without assigning the reason what so ever. Any arbitration after acceptance of the quotation will not be entertained, and the decision of the Head, ICAR-IISWC, RC-Vasad will be final, binding and acceptable to the bidder. 10. The Head, ICAR-IISWC, RC-Vasad reserves the right to reject any or all tenders in whole or in part without assigning any reason therefore. The decision of the Head, ICAR-IISWC, RC- Vasad shall be final and binding on the Contractor/Agency in respect of clause covered under the contract. 11. The staff provided should also maintain secrecy and discipline in the premises of Institute. 12. The staff provided should be capable of doing the assigned work. 13. The agreement will be terminable with one month notice on either side. 14. The contractor or his workers shall not misuse the premises allotted to them for any purpose other than for which the contract is awarded. 15. The persons so provided by the agency under this Job Contract will not be the employee of the Institute and there will be no employer-employee relationship between the Institute and the person so engaged by the contractor in the aforesaid services. 16. The rates may be quoted after physical inspection of the site, very detailed assessment/requirements of deployment of labour and required material for completion of the assigned job. The rates to be quoted should include cost of each and every item including transportation cost, manpower cost and taxes etc. The Institute shall not bear any extra charge on any account whatsoever. No request for alteration in the rates once quoted will be permitted till the job is not completed. 17. The contractor will discharge all his legal obligations in respect of the workers/supervisors to be employed/ deployed by him for the execution of the work in respect of their wages and service conditions and shall also comply with all the rules and regulations and provisions of law in force that may be applicable to them from time to time. The contractor shall indemnify and keep indemnified the ICAR-IISWC, RC-Vasad from any claims, loss or damages that may be caused to it on account of any failure to comply with the obligations under various laws. In case of any dispute, the decision of The Head, ICAR-IISWC, RC-Vasad shall be final and binding on the contractor. 18. The Contractor must employ adult labour only. Employment of child labour may lead to the termination of the contract. 19. The contract is subject to the condition that the tenderer will comply with all the laws and acts of Central Govt., State Govt. relating to this contract made applicable from time to time. 20. The Head of ICAR-IISWC, RC-Vasad reserves the right to discontinue the contract at any time, if the work is found unsatisfactory by giving a show-cause to be replied within a week and also has the right to award the contract to any other agency at the risk and cost of current agency and excess expenditure incurred on account of this can be recovered from Security Deposit or pending bills or by rising a separate claim. The decision of The Head, ICAR-IISWC, RC-Vasad shall be final and binding on the contractor/agency in respect of any clause covered under the Contract. 21. The selected agency should make the payment to the persons so engaged by the contractor in the aforesaid services according to the wages fixed by the state/central Govt. whichever is higher. As and when wages enhanced by the Govt. contractor will be liable for enhanced payment of wages to the persons engaged in this contract. The Institute will not pay any 3

4 enhanced wages to the contractor over and above the rate quoted and approved by the Institute during the period of the contract. 22. Any misconduct/misbehaviour on the part of the manpower deployed by the agency will not be tolerated and such persons will have to be replaced immediately. 23.
