Building Construction Type: IBC Type V-B Wood Frame RELATED REQUIREMENTS A. General Contractor shall supply to the Manufacturer specifications and drawings provided by the Owner REFERENCE STANDARDS A. Codes that shall be met by manufacturer. 1. CODES: ICC ASTM E108- Standard Test Methods for Fire Tests of Roof Coverings; ADMINISTRATIVE REQUIREMENTS A. Manufacturer shall furnish a Project Manager to follow the project from order to delivery SUBMITTALS A. Product Data: Wood Portable Building Manufacturer shall provide the following. 1. Color Chips for exterior and interior paint, describing which items get which colors. Submittals shall include the paint manufacturer's description of the different types of paint used. 2. Roofing Manufacturer, profile, gauge, color and fastener system and perimeter trim. 3. Siding Manufacturer, profile, material, thickness, color and fastener system. 4. Trim: Interior and exterior: material, Profile size and thickness, fasteners and finish. 5. Underlayment: For Roof, walls and floorings (as may be applicable)

Windows, Doors and Hardware: Provide catalog cuts showing materials, function and appearance. 8. Interior Ceilings and Walls: Stud framing sizes/materials, substrate (material and thiclmess) and finish colors. 9. Structural Systems: State which codes will be met and materials to be used. B. Shop Drawings: Standard Floor Plans, Elevations, Details, Foundation Plan and Standard Anchor Details. Manufacturer shall work with the Owner for the location of all utility connections and anchor bolt locations as needed for a successful project. C. Manufacturer's Qualification Statement. D. Specimen Warranty: (unsigned) Manufacturer's Warranty submit with Shop Drawings QUALITY ASSURANCE A. Manufacturer Qualifications: Company specializing in manufacturing products specified in this section, with not less than three years of documented experience. B WARRANTY A. Manufacturer's Warranty is for one year from date o~ delivery. B. Manufacturer shall correct defective Work within a one year period from the date of arrival on site. Wood Construction Materials: Comply with the following standards. a. PS 1 - Construction & Industry Plywood b. PS 20- American Softwood Lumber Standards Wood Treatment where called for by in the IBC and other applicable Codes: D. Floor Construction: a. Treated Lumber & Plywood: Coni ply with Requirements of AMP A U-1 -Use Category System for Wood Treatment determined by use categories, expected service conditions, and specific applications. 1) Fire-Retardant Treated Wood: Mark each piece of wood with producer's stamp indicating compliance with specified requirements. 1. 2x8 floor joists, 16" OC. %"plywood decldng, E. Color per manufacturers standard color palette to be approved by owner and Designer of Record and Owner's Representative. 2. Building and window trim furnished and installed by Manufacturer. H. Roof Construction: 1. Box truss (double or single box peak engineered truss) at 24" OC. 7/16" 3ply rated Pine plywood decking (sheathing). 30# ASTM rated roofing felt. All fields crews shall be further sealed with one part urethane caulking. No overhang/projection at edges. a. Roofing Membrane Flammability: Class A per ASTM E b. Metal roofing shall be 24 ga. thickness and factory finished and rated for 130 miles per hour hold down ability. c. Power gable vent with. passive gable vent (one each per end) I. Windows: 1. White Vinyl covered double hung windows with%" dual glazed Low-E clear glass. M. Insulation: 1. Unfaced fiberglass batt insulation. R-38 floor, R-19 walls, R-41 roof. N. Interior Finish: 1. Prefinished Vinyl wrapped 5/8" wall board with edges wrapped with vinyl and standard battens. 2. Interior Trim: Vinyl4" floor base trim: Color per manufacturers standard color palette to be approved by owner and Designer of Record and Owner's Representative. 3. Flooring: Resilient Vinyl Sheet Flooring-.080 inch thickness, embossed wearing surface, min. 6' width, min. MOH Scale= 9, 5 year limited commercial warranty. Pattern/Color to be approved by Owner. Adhesive applied using nonflammable, solvent-free, moisture resistant, acrylic adhesive. Follow manufacturer's recommendations for installation. 4. (Bolt chassis to wall sleeve to prevent displacement of chassis in transit and for security). 3. Sheet metal supply duct with 24"x24" diffusers (see plan for schedule and location) 4. Temperature set points: cooling mode 76 deg F, heating mode 68 deg F Q. All electrical services and accessories as indicated in the drawings and specifications. PART 3 EXECUTION 3.01 INSTALLERS A. Manufacturer shall furnish a crane or fork-lift intended for the weight of the Portable Building, if required. Manufacturer will assist the General Contractor by providing correct minimum lifting capacity and by locating lift points and recommended lifting capacities. B. General Contractor will be responsible for having all utility connections in their correct place before portable building is shipped by the manufacturer EXAMINATION A. Verification of Conditions: Verify that portable builqing is complete and ready for occupancy. State inspection officials will want to see the anchor bolts before the bottom trim is installed PREPARATION A. Protection of In-Place Conditions: General Contractor's full responsibility. B. Surface Preparation: Manufacture shall prepare modular building at factory for over the highway transpmiation. C. Bottom Trim: Will be finished and furnished by manufacturer, cut to size and installed by the manufacturer after anchor bolts are secured. Trim shall be continuous with wall siding to provide a seamless appearance INSTALLATION A. Manufacturer shall advise the General Contractor on the options for removing the Wood Portable Building off the truck and onto the place and utilities that will become the long term building location

The General Contractor and manufacturer shall arrange for a proper equipment/crane to move the wood portable building off the truck to its long term location. 2. General Contractor and manufacturer shall review the Site Plan in preparation for the arrival of the wood portable building. 3. The wood portable building manufacturer shall identify "pick points" for crane or forldift as will be supplied in the field. 4. The General Contractor shall work with the wood portable building manufacturer on the exact location and configuration of all utilities to be connected by the General Contractor. 5. The General Contractor I Manufacturer will install all anchor bolts, style and locations of bolts will be dictated by the manufacturer to meet the local wind and seismic code requirements. B. Install each item in accordance with component manufacturer's instructions CLEANING A. Clean wood portable building before preparing for transit. B. Prepare building to assure damage free transit. C. Lock and block (with 2x4's) all doors and windows for transit CLOSEOUT ACTIVITIES A. Owner's Representative shall inspect the "like new" condition of the structure and components. Clean, fix, and re-paint as necessary for the Owner's occupancy. B. Exterior (roof, walls and windows) shall be washed, as necessary (in the field) and cleaned free of dirt PROTECTION A. Protect installed wood portable building from subsequent construction operations. B. Do not permit traffic over unprotected floor surface without Owner's consent. END OF SECTION
