Lcated n the rcky shres f Lake Champlain, the park cntains tw pavilins with restrms, pen fields used fr kickball and ther active recreatin, accessible bcce curts, tennis and pickleball curts, tw swimming beaches, paddle bard vendr and the park is bisected by a prtin f the eight mile Burlingtn Greenway and is a heavily used trailhead fr accessing the multi-use path. 2 Oakledge Universal Playgrund Site Plan DESCRIPTION OF CURRENT CONDITIONS The existing playgrund is apprximately 25 years ld and is f (treated) wd cnstructin and is beynd its expected life. BPRW will remve the equipment in the area f disturbance f the pp-up ahead f cntractr installatin. PROJECT HISTORY BPRW has been wrking with GrundView Design since September 2016 and has a detailed cnceptual site plan develped that BPRW and their stakehlder partner, Oakledge fr All, has wrked clsely with the cmmunity t maximize supprt fr the prject. BPRW s successful grant prpsal t AARP, alng with funds frm BPRW s Penny fr Parks prgram, will fund this rapid turnarund installatin. A public event t celebrate the successful cmpletin f the pp-up installatin is scheduled fr September 22, BPRW recgnizes the hugely ambitius timetable fr this prject (it s nt called a pp-up fr nthing). We will be lking fr prpsals that reflect a creative, ambitius and realistic apprach t achieving ur gals within the extremely tight time schedule. PROJECT BUDGET Prpsals shall nt exceed $90,000 SCOPE reference attached schematic Burlingtn Parks, Recreatin & Waterfrnt shall btain apprpriate permits, cmplete applicable demlitin ahead f installatin date.
