1 Grata Sunscreens Solar Shading Architectural Solutions - Grata Sunscreens

2 Introduction SOLAR SHADING The importance of solar protection systems are being increasingly realised by architects today more than ever, as demands to optimise internal climates through energy efficiency intensifies. External solar shading is one of the most effective means to control the internal conditions of a building. The correct system or application has the ability to block out or adjust the amount of solar radiation, thus reducing the resultant solar heat gain entering the building, minimising ventilation requirements and reducing cooling loads. Colt Tollfab solar shading provides designers the opportunity for architectural distinction by offering elegant solutions that are aesthetically pleasing, whilst practical in reducing the solar heat gains. 12 COMMISSIONING Proper commissioning of movable solar shading by experts is essential. We recommend that our specialist staff commission and certify the system. MAINTENANCE Colt Tollfab Solar Shading has been designed to be virtually maintenance free, although regular cleaning with warm soapy water and a soft cloth is recommended. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or brushes as these will cause damage. Periodic inspection of moving parts is also recommended.
