3 Ilanga Building and Maintenance Limited was formed in the year 2017 as a result of a group of very highly skilled individuals who had a vision of creating a one stop shop in the Zambian building industry. The company is at present Zambian owned and comprises of a Zambian staff complement; presently located in Lusaka, Zambia. Using the vast local and international experience that most of our key members have gained over the past 35 years, it dawned on us that the Zambian construction industry is lacking in a company that could provide a full service (turn key) in the building and maintenance industry to the clients. 01

4 Mission statement To become a major one-stop shop in the Zambian Construction industry providing various services and disciplines in the building and maintenance environment. Market Analysis The Zambian construction industry has been dominated actively by foreign companies; whose standards and quality of works in some cases has been questionable. The local Zambian companies have suffered greatly from poor management and luck of financial discipline. This has led to the local companies not expanding and broadening their activities. The over reliance on Government projects has also been a key factor to the slow growth of the local firms. These companies tend to avoid penetrating the private sector with the concept such as design, finance and build. Experience and track record Before 2017, Ilanga Building and Maintenance had virtually no standalone past record of its own achievements due to that fact that it was only incorporated in the first quarter of the year 2017; thus as a company it has virtually no past record or history to write about. However, its key main members have a combined history and experience of over 100 years, both local and international. 02

5 Professional Services The company intends to provide the following services in the construction and maintenance industry: Building Works Construction of office blocks (single and multi-storey). Construction of domestic houses (single and multi-storey). Single and multi-storey residential flats for commercial purposes. (O. R. Tambo International Airport) Low cost and luxury apartments. Ware Houses. Installation of all carpentry, electrical and plumbing works. Landing scaping. 03

6 Civil Works Road works Water and sewer services. Storm water drainage. Electrical Works Installation of general domestic electrical works for residential buildings. Installation of commercial buildings electrical works eg; shopping malls, office blocks, hospitals, factories, warehouses, etc. General electrical overhead cabling works eg; power supply within commercial and residential property. Supply and installation of generators and alternative electrical power supply. Installation of security and electrical fences. Supply and installation of intercoms for access control. Mechanical Works Supply & installation of escalators for commercial buildings. Supply & installation of elevators for commercial buildings. Supply & installation of air-condition units for both residential and commercial buildings. Supply & Installation of water pumps & the distribution systems for domestic, commercial and farming properties. 04

7 Maintenance Services Ilanga Building and Maintenance Services intends to provide a 24 hours full maintenance service in the different professionals and service to all potential clients. Our program of maintenance is being rolled out first in the Lusaka area, with the intention of expanding to other provinces at a later stage. The service shall include among others: Building works Repairing general building works (Walls and floors). Repairing painting works. Replacing and repairing (Mending) roof works. Repairing and replacing windows and doors frames. Civil works Repairs of internal and external road works. Repairs of internal and external storm water works. Repair of water and sewer works. Repair any other domestic and external civil works. Electrical works Maintain, repair and replace all electrical units for commercial and domestic properties. 05

8 Mechanical Works Repair of all industrial and domestic mechanical units such as water heating units, air-conditioning systems, access control, internal telephone and intercom units. Our team members have worked on several installation and maintenance of air conditioning system. General cleaning of domestic and industrial mechanical equipment. Servicing of water pumps and water reticulation systems (domestic and industrial) 06
