Plywood panels can be specially ordered with a longitdinal grain direction. Pilot drilling is always recoended when sing screws, with the exception of self tapping screws. The dimensions of the fixings depend on the sed plywood thickness. Trailer floor installation Panels Depending on the chassis design the panels can be installed longitdinally or transversally. Plywood panels mst be spported on all for sides. By sing oriented plywood constrctions the thickness of the plywood panel can be redced. With KingSize panels the floor can be made with only one piece. GLUING Metsä Wood plywood panels are gled with weather- and boil-proof phenolic resin adhesive (WBP, BU, AW, exterior). The plywood panel gling meets the reqirements of the following international standards: EN 314-2/class 3 (Exterior) DIN /BU 100 BS /WBP QUALITY CONTROL In addition to Metsä Wood s own qality control, the VTT Technical Research Centre of inland oversees prodction operations and the internal qality control at Metsä Wood plywood mills. External plywood qality control is condcted according to standard EN and its CE-marking rles in cooperation with VTT. RENEWABLE AND SUSTAINABLE MATERIAL The ISO 9001 and ISO certified qality and environmental management systems of Metsä Grop inclde a wood origin management system. The PEC logo ensres that the raw material is sorced from sstainably managed forests. Metsä Wood prodcts are manfactred with low energy and emissions, sing the best available technology. Wood raw material is tilised to the fllest dring the manfactre of different prodcts. The by-prodcts wood chips, sawdst and bark are sed as raw material for prodction plants or bioenergy prodction. RECYCLING AND DISPOSAL Disposal of Metsä Wood plywood prodcts can be carried ot by several methods. It shold be noted that the instrctions for disposal may vary in different contries depending on crrent legislation. Recycling of plywood by tilising it in other applications is always preferred, bt Metsä Wood plywood prodcts can be safely brnt when the combstion temperatre is at least 850 C and correct combstion conditions are maintained. Metsä Wood plywood prodcts contain nothing classified as hazardos waste. ORMALDEHYDE EMISSIONS Determined according to EN 717-1, the formaldehyde emitted by Metsä Wood Plywood prodcts falls far below the Class E1 reqirement of ppm and most prodcts also flfill the most stringent reqirements in the world ( ppm). More information of the formaldehyde emissions of different prodcts is given in the Prodct Data Sheets. Seal the reslting raw edges with water resistant paint. Panel srfaces can be repaired with water resistant fillers or patching materials. A Unopened packages can be temporarily stored otside de to the plastic wrapping. Once the wrapping has been removed protect the panels from contact with water and direct snlight by storing in a bilding or by covering with a sitable waterproof cover. Also avoid very dry and hot storage areas. (A) D At the end of their service life Metsä Wood plywood panels can be chipped and tilised in the bio mass energy prodction indstry. (D) All Metsä Wood plywood packing material is recyclable. (E) B Yo can also remove only a few plywood panels from the plastic wrapping. Please close the package top again after removing the panels. (B) E Loose panels shold not be moved frther on site sing mechanical handling eqipment, as overlaid panels are slippery.
