12 STEP 1 INSTALLATION Install your floor without a hassle! 1 Easy installation thanks to the drop-down click system Our Uniclic Multifit click system used on the Balance Click collection is developed especially for vinyl floors, making them fast and easy to install. The improved drop-down technology provides extra strength thanks to the vertical and horizontal locking. 2 Install vinyl on underfloor heating and cooling Thanks to the excellent thermal conductivity, vinyl floors are suitable for installation over low temperature underfloor heating and cooling. For more information: visit 3 Renovation friendly Vinyl floors are thin and flexible so they can be installed over most level surfaces. This will save you a lot of removal effort and let you renovate your space without any hassle. Note that grout lines in old ceramic tiles should be levelled for best results. 13 Click or glue CLICK your Balance Click floor Installation is fast and easy, directly over any smooth, dry and stable sub-floor. The patented Multifit system provides tight and strong joints with a simple drop and click! Existing floor coverings should be removed, and any unevenness removed to ensure a beautiful seamless result. Grout lines between ceramic tiles should be filled to provide a smooth sub-floor. For apartments and multi-story applications, an optional underlay is also available to reduce impact sound for the space below. Talk to your retailer about use of this underlay, as it is not suitable in areas of direct sunlight, or where the floor may exceed 45 Degrees Celsius. Quick Step VINYL ACOUSTIC UNDERLAY* QSV-LAY50 Contents: 1 roll = 50 m² Thickness: 1 mm Directly installed over any smooth dry surface. No control joints required between rooms. Optional underlay available for multi-story applications. Suitable for heated sub-floors. GLUE for Balance Glue + In conjunction with the glue specialist Soudal, Quick-Step has developed a high quality glue especially for vinyl. This adhesive is suitable for all applications, it is easy to spread, and once cured, has superior holding power for first class results. Quick Step VINYL GLUE 15kg: QSVGLUE15 = for +/- 50 m² 6kg: QSVGLUE6 = for +/- 20 m² Spreads easily and guarantees fast adhesion. Suitable for floor heating. For the best results, whether clicking or gluing, always start with a level subfloor. Make sure it s completely dry and free of dust and grease.
