Definition of product This European Technical Approval applies to the following product: - METISSE This product consists of recycled textiles fibres from clothing collected and selected by Le Relais. These clothes are carefully selected according to their condition and their composition. Then they are frayed separately by kind of fibers. The fibers thus obtained are mixed and bonded together by polyester fibers (twocomponent polyester low melt) to form a batt as roll or board. The product has received an anti-bacterial and fungicide treatment (Product type according to annex V of Directive 98/8/CE: type 9: Fibres protection products). Composition and production methods are deposited with Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment. METISSE composition: (mass % at ambient temperature and relative humidity): Cotton : 70% (± 5%) Mix of acrylic synthetic fibres wool fibres : 15% (± 5%) with wool fibres < 20% of the mix. Polyester : 15% (± 2%) Anti-bacterial and fungicide treatment: 1% (0,8% - 1,2%). The product is presented in the form of board or rolls: - nominal thickness: from 50 mm to 200 mm - nominal length: 1,2 m, 8 m or 10 m - nominal width: 600 mm Intended use The insulation boards and rolls METISSE are used as insulating material mainly for the following intended uses: Application for walls - Vertical walls in timber frame constructions with external ventilation. - Vertical masonry walls with fixation of product on timber frame constructions or similar structures.
