1 Textura Façade panel Product information sheet 1 1 Product range Textura fibre cement facade panels are made from: Portland cement Mineral filler Natural organic fibres (cellulose), synthetic organic fibres (PVA), 2 Production method Textura panels are produced on a Hatschek machine and are pressed and airdried. The surface has a grainy structure, with double layer acrylic coating, Fillite filling and a TopCoat hot-film sealing (front side) to produce an impact and dirt resistant finish. Transparent back side sealing. 3 Dimensions and tolerances Standard thicknesses : For facades: 8 and 12 For Soffits : 6 For Balcony boards 10 Dimensions for : untried tried 3,130 x 1,280 3,100 x 1,250 2,530 x 1,280 2,500 x 1,250 3,130 x 1,530 3,100 x 1,500 Tolerances: Thickness Length Width Right squareness untried +/ / / / / / / / /- 7.0 tried +/ / / / / / / / / / m 1.0 / m 1 This information sheet replaces all earlier versions. reserves the right to alter this information sheet without priot notification. 3 Moisture content (air-dried) : ~ 8 % Temperature durability : rated up to 80 C 7 Advantages When used in accordance with the application guidelines, Textura panels have the following general characteristics: non-combustible good noise insulation properties weather resistant water proof (use only vertically for direct outdoor applications 6 not suitable as back-ventilated cladding) resistant against living organisms (mould, bacteria, insects, pests etc.) chemical resistant environmentally friendly, no harmful gas emissions strong, rigid panels frost resistant 8 Applications Textura Back-ventilated external cladding in accordance with DIN Cladding for post and cross-member construction Weather boarding Outdoor planking for sandwich elements Window ledges Cladding for window recesses Cladding for lintels (doors, windows) Interior wall lining Eaves and verge boards Textura 6 Verge boards Soffits Bonding for invisible fixing: If Textura is to be glued (only 8 ), the adhesive has to be used in accordance with the application guidelines and guarantee conditions of the adhesive supplier ( SikaTack-Panel ). Further information is available from. Drilling: for holes: carbide-tipped twist drill with a 60 nose angle for round apertures: cup drill or circular cutter, carbide-tipped Sawing and drilling must take place in a dry environment. Sawings and drillings must be iediately removed from the sheet. Sawings and drillings not removed can cause permanent stains. Screwing: stainless steel screws with mushroom head and torx recession Screws can be used in pre-drilled holes (6 ) only. (5,5 x 35 for 8 thickness and 5,5 x 45 for 12 thickness) TEXTURA 3 / 5 12/2007

4 Blind riveting: Stainless steel blind rivet and associated stainless steel cylindrical spacer sleeve in 9,5 holes (4 x 18 K15 for 8 thickness and 4 x 25 K15 for 12 thickness) Kit: Only use neutral kits. Non-neutral kits such as silicones or thiokols can result in spots. 9 Preparation before delivery Fibre cement products can be delivered cut and pre-drilled ready for installation on site. 10 Processing data Cutting: When cutting fibre cement it is best to use a hard-metal saw blade of Class K10 (DIN 4990). In order to ensure an adequate working life of the saw blade and good quality cuts it is important to adapt to varying conditions. Cutting speed: m/ s Passing speed: m / min Drilling: Any coercial electric hand drill can be used, preferably with electronic control and a good drill bit. Do not use the haer drill function. Heavy-duty, hard-metal drill bits should be used for continuous operation. Health and safety aspects: Fibre cement is a modern, reinforced construction material made from natural and environmentally-neutral raw materials, mostly Portland cement, which is made by firing limestone and clay. Reinforcement is achieved using synthetic, organic fibres of polyvinyl alcohol. These fibres are used in a similar form in the clothing industry for covering fabrics, for fleece materials and for medical fibres. A very important feature is that they are physiologically not problematic. 11 Transport conditions The panels should be moved in stacks using a fork-lift truck or a crane. Individual panels should be moved vertically, and should not be set down on corners. Stacks should be transported under a waterproof cover. 12 Storage and handling Textura should be stored and transported on a flat, dry surface which gives support over the entire area. Stack to a maximum height of 1.0 metre, preferably on the returnable palettes, or on dry wooden slats placed sufficiently close to avoid sagging. The panels should be covered, for example with a heavy-duty plastic sheeting, to protect against dampness, weather and dirt. The covering must remain in place at all times for stacked material. Individual panels should be stored on end with air circulation on both sides. If only one side of a panel dries out or becomes damp this can lead to deformation. TEXTURA 4 / 5 12/2007

5 Paper or foil is inserted between front surfaces to protect the high quality finish, and this should be kept in place when restacking. Stack the panels front face to front face or rear surface to rear surface. Each panel should be lifted from the pile by two workers, removed without touching the other panels and then carried vertically. Isocolor Structura panels should always be carried upright. 13 Special coent The 6 Textura panel is not certified for use as back-ventilated cladding. 14 Coercial details Prices, delivery conditions, and delivery areas as specified by the supplier 15 Availability Deliveries world-wide Export Department Knesebeckstraße 59-61, D Berlin, Germany info@wanit-fulgurit.de TEXTURA 5 / 5 12/2007
