2 Burwell Rd./Fitzwater Dr. Improvements Brentsville Magisterial District Out of five properties where R-O-W and Easements are needed, three agreements have been attained. Coordination with NOVEC and Verizon to relocate facilities which are in conflict with the project. Negotiations with remaining two property owners to acquire R-O-W and Easements still in progress. VDOT s Land Use Permit acquisition anticipated in Spring 2015 followed before construction. Authorization to commence the relocation of NOVEC and Verizon facilities is anticipated in March/April

4 Route 28 Phase I (Linton Hall Road to Fitzwater Drive) Construction activities started on July 25, Contractor is currently working on realigning Vint Hill Road. Utility relocations are completed on Vint Hill Road. Utility relocation activities are in progress on Route % of Vint Hill Road is on subgrade. 70% of waterline placements have been completed on Vint Hill Road. Blasting activities are ongoing. Brentsville Magisterial District Coordination with property owners during construction. Sound wall construction. Completion of Utility relocations on Route 28 will be on May 28. Project Completion date is summer

5 Route 28 Phase II (Fitzwater Drive to Infantry Lane) Brentsville Magisterial District Design is complete. R-O-W Appraisals & Negotiations are ongoing. 56 affected properties, 56 offers distributed, 28 agreements reached and 28 offers are pending. Environmental permit application is under review by DEQ/Corps of Engineers. Construction is anticipated to begin around Summer

6 Hellwig Park Entrance Improvement Coles & Potomac Magisterial District The 70% plans have ben submitted and review completed by VDOT and County. The 100% plans will be submitted first week of March, Demolition of existing building affected by the new location of entrance. Final Plan approval is anticipated late April/early May of

7 Minnieville Road Spriggs Rd. to Rte. 234 Coles & Potomac Magisterial Districts Project survey phase was completed. Value Engineering Study (VE) was conducted on January 28 & 29 of Project Scoping was completed on November 13, State revenue sharing fund ($10M) is being matched with proffers and NVTA funds. Citizen Information Meeting was held on June 30, 2014 at the Edward L. Kelly Leadership Center from 6 pm to 8pm. Old land fill investigation findings is that no mitigation or special handling is anticipated. The design was approved by the BOCS on February 10, One (1) total take property and a relocation was completed. Utility relocations Environmental mitigation at crossing of Powells Creek. 9 Purcell Road Final plans and bid documents for construction will be submitted to VDOT for review in December R-O-W authorization received July Environment study update is in progress and will be completed prior to construction authorization. Coordination with property owners during R-O-W acquisitions. R-O-W appraisal and negotiations are ongoing. Coles Magisterial District Construction advertisement is scheduled for June 2015 with the award in August

10 Logmill Road Improvements Gainesville Magisterial District A Public Hearing was held on February 19, Citizen information meetings were held on December 19, 2012 and August 8, The Categorical Exclusion Environmental Document submitted to VDOT was approved. Design approved by the BOCS on May 20, VDOT gave notice to proceed with R-O-W and utility work on July 22, The pavement of a section of Mountain Road was completed to facilitate the detour during construction. Counter offer letters were sent to property owners on September 19, Five (5) out of seven (7) negotiations took place and agreements were reached. One property was taken to the BOCS for the February 10, 2015 and the COT was approved. R-O-W acquisition ( on going negotiations with two property owners). Utility adjustments. Detour during construction. Expediting the project construction schedule for completion in six months. 11 Gideon Drive Sidewalk Dale Blvd. to Opitz Blvd. (TRIP) Pre-construction meeting was held on January 14, Construction activities began February None Construction anticipated to be completed December Neabsco Magisterial District 11

12 Prince William Parkway (Old Bridge Road to Minnieville Road) Drainage work is 95% complete. Waterline installation is complete. Construction from Elm Farm Rd to Minnieville Rd is complete. Utility relocation is complete. 2 Ponds out of 3 are100% complete between Elm Farm and Minnieville. 2 Retaining walls out of 4 are 100% complete. Cost of road improvements beyond the Minnieville intersection is currently being estimated by the contractor. Neabsco & Occoquan Magisterial Districts Due to utilities conflict, revised completion date is anticipated Summer

14 Antietam Road Sidewalk Task Order was modified due to the need of additional R-O-W and Easements because of design conflicts with utilities All previous VDOT s comments are being addressed. Submission of the project for review to VDOT and PWC Department of Development Services is anticipated in February 2015 R-O-W and easement acquisition. Utilities Relocation. VDOT and PWC Department of Development Services comments anticipated in April 2015 Occoquan Magisterial District 14

15 Smoketown Rd. Sidewalk Agreement with VDOT was executed and funds were budgeted and appropriated. Task order for design is being prepared. None Authorization to commence the design is anticipated in March/April Occoquan Magisterial District 15

16 Design Build Heritage Center Parkway and Route 1 Improvement. Potomac Magisterial Districts Notice to proceed was issued to Branch Highways, Inc. on June 4, 2013, the designer is RDA. The license agreement to allow Prince William County to enter Federal Land to construct the Heritage Center Parkway and widening of the Route 1 was approved by the BOCS on August 5, Easements needed by Verizon from NAVFAC were granted. A license agreement from NAVFAC was granted. Overlook construction activities 97% completed. Heritage Center Parkway 60% completed. Route 1 is currently at 15% completion. The Permanent Easement documents for the roadway improvements are being coordinated with VDOT. Verizon utility relocation lines on Route 1. Contractor potential request for time extension for Parkway and Route 1 improvements. The 100% final plans have been submitted to VDOT, awaiting their approval. Substantial completion on or before October 31, 2014 with potential extension requested by contractor. Overlook Ribbon Cutting/Dedication currently scheduled for Friday, March 27, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Final completion on or before May 30,

18 Fuller Rd./Fuller Heights Rd. (Quantico Marine Corps Base Entrance) Potomac Magisterial District R-O-W approval received from VDOT to begin R-O-W acquisitions. Marines Corps Base Quantico (MCBQ) project P588 for improvements of Fuller and base entrance have been restarted and 65% plans have been shared with the County. Initial review of design suggests adjustments are needed for the County project. R-O-W offers await MCBQ granting of easements. A utility relocation coordination meeting with DOT staff, Utility Companies and the MCBQ project P588 has been scheduled for February 24, MCBQ project P % Plans to be ready for construction bid in spring Construction advertisement contingent on MCBQ granting easement and utility relocations and award of MCBQ Contract. 18

21 Route 1 Featherstone to Mary s Way Design Consultant have been selected. Board approval of design services contract and award scheduled in March, Possible high cost of ROW acquisition along the alignment due to commercial developments abutting the corridor. Utility relocation cost which include undergrounding or use of duct banks. : The projected timeline for the design of the project is 18 months from start to approval. 22 Route 1 - Neabsco Mills Rd. to Featherstone Rd. Woodbridge Magisterial District Continuing utility ductbank construction in Phase III. Continuing construction of new box culvert at Cow Branch in Phase II. Utility ductbank construction completed in Phase II. Nearing completion roadway grading activities in Phase I. Continuing roadway grading activities in Phase II. Utilities relocation from aerial to ductbank is completed in Phase I. Lindsay slope construction is complete (minor work remaining related to seeding). Right of Way (R-O-W) Acquisition. Utility Relocation. Construction is broken into three sections (Phases). Phase I Neabsco Mills Road to Dale Boulevard (Under Construction). Phase II Dale Boulevard to Delaware Drive (Under Construction). Phase III Delaware Drive to Featherstone Road (ROW, Under Construction). Final completion date of all Phases Summer
