Protocols Water, Fire, Odor, Mold, Meth, Trauma, Crime, Carpet and HVAC PREPARATION Mix solution as necessary for footage to be treated. Mixed solution is only active for 8 Hrs. Mix equal parts of A and B. For mold and where testing is needed we recommend not diluting the product. 1 gallon typically treats approx square feet (in a ULV sprayer) Particular circumstances like thicker mold and other organism growth may call for more product use. Some commercial applications may require less product. Wear appropriate PPE for the particular situation - N95 with sealed eye protection and Tyvek or similar suit. PROCEDURE Evacuate all occupants from building during the decontamination applications. Remove all pets and small plants (cover larger plants with drop cloth or bed sheet).

Cover aquariums and turn off aquarium aerator pumps. They should be off for a minimum of 8 hours following completion of application. Cover sensitive wood furnishings & floors (polished tables, pianos, etc.) with protective tarp or drop cloths. The spray solution can cause marks in polished finishes of wood furniture if applied heavily enough to cause runoff. We recommend always removing loose debris, especially contaminated debris, before applying product; one caveat to this is where an initial pre- treatment is applied to protect workers prior to tear- down and waste removal. Where mold or other organism growth is thin, removal may not be necessary prior to product application. Atomize or (ULV) Cold Mist Spray the entire building or area of building, with an initial treatment. Make sure the nozzle is adjusted for the proper volume of mist droplets. Make sure treated surfaces are dampened by MDF 500, but not to the point of run- off or over- saturation. Where necessary and where feasible given product specifications, a denser, wetter spray may be necessary for particularly troubled areas of organism growth. Remove visible mold by HEPA vacuuming contaminated surfaces or by thoroughly wiping away debris. This is an optional step, but

often, necessary if heavy organism growth is evident. Remove damaged building materials as necessary. 1 of 3 FIRST DWELL TIME FOR STRUCTURE (please see * below) This is dependent on the severity of the mold (or other organisms) in structure, or if it is just being treated for odors. If you have a severe mold infestation case, keep building sealed for 8 hours after the initial application. If this time frame is unnecessary, air scrubbing and negative ventilation can be used to reduce this reaction period. Follow all regulations regarding PPM limits prior to re- entry if the reaction period is purposely reduced as above. (Optional) After the reaction period is over, open doors and windows and allow proper ventilation time until all evidence of is exhausted. Allow proper exhaust fans if necessary. FINAL PHASE FOR SECOND DECONTAMINATION APPLICATION (optional) After completing removal of all visible mold and damaged materials, spray the entire building with second treatment of spray solution. The second application allows the formulation to penetrate areas that have

been opened up or exposed after the first treatment and debris removal. This is highly recommended for remodeling projects involving wall cavities to be resealed after product application. SECOND DWELL TIME FOR STRUCTURE (please see * below) Again, depending on severity of conditions, this will fluctuate. In severe conditions, let dwell up to 8 hours as described above. VENTILATING THE BUILDING WHEN POST-APPLICATION TESTING IS PERFORMED If post remediation verification will be performed by an independent IEP or IH, do not ventilate the building until the verification is completed and the building is cleared for occupants to return. For optimum results, do not have structure tested until 24 hours have passed after last application. (It is critical not to test too soon.) The building can then have exhaust fans turned on and windows opened to adequately exchange air. CLEANUP Used correctly, a light treatment will require no clean up. In certain cases with heavy treatment it may be necessary to wipe some surfaces to remove excess surfactant. VACUUM (optional) Use a vacuum with a HEPA filtration system, and vacuum all carpets

treated once dried. Carpets could contain substantial amounts of dead mold spores after application is complete. FINISH Clean equipment by rinsing thoroughly with water after every job no later than 1 hour after application is completed. Water can be run through the ULV sprayer for one minute to clean interior mechanisms. 2 of 3 FIRE Product may be diluted 5 to 1, mix equal amounts of A and B together before adding water, (this isn t critical, it just ensures that both A and B will be mixed together), treat entire structure with ULV sprayer, wipe surfaces as necessary. encapsulates volatile substances and when wiped off will remove volatile substances with it. HVAC For Cleaning HVAC systems: Remove filter and or return air end cap. Direct spray unit into area and run fan in fan on setting. Spraying time is dependent on home size and scope of HVAC system. Approximately 5 minutes should be adequate, or until is seen coming out of supply registers. If dwelling has extensive ducting (commercial), a series of blocked registers and systematic treatment for each arm may be necessary.

METH We recommend spraying the product at full strength, wipe surfaces as necessary. Air scrubbers are optional. encapsulates volatile substances and when wiped off will remove substances with it. Post testing is recommended, there are a number of places online to obtain Meth Test Kits. TRAUMA ULV spraying for odor elimination and surface cleaning is recommended, product can be diluted into a Hudson sprayer or a spray bottle, on concrete we recommend leaving the product behind to soak into surface. WATER Use same procedure as Trauma. CARPET Cleaning carpets. If carpets are to be cleaned and not removed, MDF 500 may be used in a commercial carpet extractor machine in a ratio of 10:1 or 15:1 with room temp water. It is recommended that carpets be cleaned AFTER any spraying applications so as not to allow MDF 500 product to collect on wet or damp carpeting, and to ensure carpet is as clean as possible when finished.
