Prior to proceeding in accordance with these instructions, indicate your acceptance of these instructions for minor change to the work as consistent with the Contract Documents and return a copy to the Architect. SEE SHEET C-50 FOR LANDSCAPE AND IRRIGATION DETAILS..09. DESCRIPTION:. CONTRACTOR TO ACQUAINT HIM/HERSELF WITH ALL SITE CONDITIONS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL REPORT ANY DISCREPANCIES BETWEEN THE DRAWING, SPECIFICATIONS AND SITE CONDITIONS TO THE OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE AND LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT. CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN ALL PERMITS AND PAY REQUIRED FEES TO ANY GOVERNMENTAL AGENCY HAVING JURISDICTION OVER THE WORK. INSPECTIONS REQUIRED BY LOCAL ORDINANCES DURING CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE ARRANGED AND CONDUCTED BY THE CONTRACTOR. BEFORE ANY TRENCHING, EXCAVATION OR DIGGING BELOW THE SURFACE FOR ANY REASON IS BEGUN, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL HAVE THE AREA BLUE STAKED IN ORDER TO DETERMINE AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE THE LOCATIONS OF ALL UNDERGROUND UTILITIES. SHOULD UTILITIES NOT SHOWN ON THE PLANS BE FOUND DURING EXCAVATIONS, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE AND LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONDUCT HIS/HER WORK IN SUCH A MANNER TO PROTECT ALL SITE CONDITIONS AND UTILITIES TO REMAIN FROM DAMAGE. WHEN OCCURS, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL REPAIR THE DAMAGE AT THE CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONTINUED WATERING OF ALL AREAS AFFECTED BY CONSTRUCTION. THIS CAN BE COMPLETED BY HAND WATERING, THE USE OF TEMPORARY IRRIGATION SYSTEMS OR THE CONTINUED OPERATION OF EXISTING SYSTEMS NOT DISTURBED BY CONSTRUCTION. ADJUST ALL RADII ON SPRINKLERS TO NOT SPRAY ONTO WALKS AND BUILDINGS. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING PROPER COVERAGE OF ALL IRRIGATED AREAS. ACTUAL FIELD DIMENSION MAY VARY FROM PLAN DUE TO ACTUAL LENGTHS ALONG A SLOPED SURFACE. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR COORDINATING ALL CONCURRENT WORK BY OTHER TRADES. PROVIDE SLEEVES AS REQUIRED FOR DRAINAGE, IRRIGATION AND ELECTRICAL LINES, ETC. PRIOR TO PAVING AND LANDSCAPE WORK. PRIOR TO THE COMMENCEMENT OF ANY WORK, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY THE LOCATION OF ALL UNDERGROUND UTILITIES THAT MAY BE AFFECTED BY HIS WORK. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROTECT THOSE UTILITIES THAT ARE TO REMAIN AND BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIR OF DAMAGES TO SUCH UTILITIES. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY ALL UTILITIES WHEN CONSTRUCTION WORK BEGINS NEAR ANY UTILITY LINES AND ARRANGE FOR A UTILITY REPRESENTATIVE BE PRESENT IF THE CONTRACTOR'S CLOSE OPERATIONS COULD CREATE A HAZARDOUS CONDITION. STAGING AND STORAGE AREA FOR CONTRACTOR'S EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS ON SITE SHALL BE APPROVED BY THE OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE OR AS SHOWN ON THE PLANS. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YARD CLEAN UP AT THE COMPLETION OF WORK. WALKS SHALL NOT EXCEED 5% SLOPE IN THE DIRECTION OF TRAVEL UNLESS SPECIFIED. THE CROSS SLOPE ON WALKS SHALL NOT EXCEED %. 3 SECTION 300 PART - GENERAL. SUMMARY A. Section includes:. SUBMITTALS. Design, fabrication and installation of permanent home and visitor bleachers, including stairs, ramps and press box at track and football field. A. Shop Drawings: Submit shop drawings sealed by a registered professional engineer indicating location, size, details and quantity of all concrete, steel, and aluminum components and accessories. B. Color Chart C. Product Sample D. Manufacturers product data E. Certificates.3 QUALITY ASSURANCE A. Codes and Standards: Design, fabrication and installation shall be in accordance with applicable codes, regulations and accessibility requirements (ADA). B. Manufacturer Qualifications: Minimum 0 years experience in the design and manufacture of permanent grandstands. C. Installer Qualifications: Employ persons trained and experienced in the installation of permanent grandstands. D. Welders: AWS certified..4 PROJECT CONDITIONS A. Permanent bleachers to match general layout and fit within parameters of design shown on drawings. B. Locate all underground utilities and obstructions. C. Owner will furnish geotechnical report indicating soil conditions and allowable soil bearing pressure..5 WARRANTY A. Up to 5 Row, Elevated, Horizontal Beam bleacher with seating for approximately,300 minimum with code required wheel chair spaces. b. Available space for bleacher at ground level is approximately 9 length (between existing bleachers to remain) by 55 depth. Tie bleacher system into existing south bleacher system. Coordinate with layout plans for more information. c. AISC certified steel fabrication. d. Steel Understructure with a L/00 serviceability criteria. e. Galvanized structural steel finish. f. Full Deck closed plank aluminum tread system. g. Mill tread finish. h. Clear anodized aluminum bench seating. i. Anodized finish aluminum risers. j. Existing ADA ramp and stair for access to elevated deck at both ends of existing bleachers it to remain. k. Guard rails as required. l. Enclose all openings with chain link fencing. m. Additional bench support required under student section at maximum 3-6 on center. Student bleacher size approximately 700 sq ft.. Football Home Bleacher Press Box: a. Provide four (4) room press box with access to both rear bleacher stair and bleacher seating area. b. Access to roof shall be provided by exterior stair. Wall mount ladder is not acceptable. c. Approximate size shall be 40-0 long x 8-0 deep. Actual size to be determined at the time of submittals. d. Provide single hung aluminum windows and Anodized mill aluminum counter top at front of all rooms. e. Provide electric heat, AC, lighting & duplex receptacles in each press box room. Provide connections for sound equipment where shown. f. Provide all doors and features. Coordinate door hardware with hardware schedule of Architectural Drawings and Specifications. g. 5 PART 3 - EXECUTION EXAMINATION h. Permitting: Provide engineered drawings of press box system in compliance with applicable building codes for submittal to Brigham City building department. i. Provide detailed shop drawings of press box for approval prior to ordering. Football Visitor Bleachers: Southern Bleacher Company, with the following characteristics: a. Up to 9 Row, Elevated, Angle Frame bleacher with seating for approximately,000 minimum with code required wheel chair spaces. b. Available space for bleacher at ground level is 3 length (note this does not include stair and ramps to access bleacher) by '-6" depth. Must maintain 7 clear between existing building and bleachers. Coordinate with layout plans for more information, including removed sections for vehicular clearance around bleachers. c. AISC certified steel fabrication. d. Steel Understructure with a L/00 serviceability criteria. e. Galvanized structural steel finish. f. Full Deck closed plank aluminum tread system. g. Mill tread finish. h. Clear anodized aluminum bench seating. i. Anodized finish aluminum risers. j. ADA ramp at south end for access to elevated deck and stairs at both ends of bleacher for access to elevated deck. k. Guard rails as required. l. Enclose front and side openings with chain link fencing. m. Permitting: Provide engineered drawings of bleacher system in compliance with applicable building codes for submittal to City of Brigham building department. n. Provide shop drawings of bleacher system for approval prior to ordering. o. Coordinate with chain link fence installer for enclosure of bleacher system as noted on the drawings. Provide detailed shop drawings of all bleacher systems for approval prior to ordering. Installation per manufacturer s written installation procedures and details. A. Examine areas and conditions for compliance with requirements for correct and level finished grade, mounting surfaces, installation tolerances and other conditions affecting performance. B. Proceed with installation only after unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected. INSTALLATION A. Install Football Stadium Bleachers and Press box per manufacturer s written instructions and approved shop drawings. Bleacher installer shall enclose the front of the bleacher adjacent to the running track. Enclose all openings at bleacher stairs and ramps to prevent access under bleacher. B. Coordinate with chain link fence installer for fencing adjacent to bleachers. CLEANING A. Remove all packing materials from job site. B. Clean or restore marred surfaces.
