4 A Brief Guide to Matting All matting areas have different functions/materials to perform specific roles. We can visit your site or premises or if you should require further assistance regarding the best possible product(s) for your project we are just a phone call away. A few factors to consider when choosing your matting system Volume and type of traffic i.e. people, heavy goods Will you require more than one entrance What type of soiling will the system have to cope with Will the system have special requirements, i.e. security tagging or flame retardancy? What type of cleaning? ZONE 1 MATTING Area outside the building, designed to scrape off mud and dirt before entering the premises. ZONE 2 MATTING This area is designed to remove moisture and finer footborne particles. It distributes the particles away from the surface enabling the matting to collect them at a lower level. ZONE 3 MATTING Located beyond the Zone 2 matting, extending further into the building/reception. 11 Frames Fitting All Mat Systems fit frames for all job requirements i.e for All Mat Types. Frames custom made for your specific needs. We can provide frames for irregular shaped areas, circular, semi-circular or any other configuration which you may require. Frames are supplied in aluminium, brass or stainless steel. For surface mounted matting ramp frames can be supplied mitred and drilled. Frames can be supply only in kit form.
