2 The FUMETEC Table Frame range is completely freestanding with worktops supported by a sturdy metal framework consisting of various end and mid gables. These are connected by tie rails which are of a modular design that allows suspended, mobile and removable plinth cabinets to sit under bench spans. The worktop has a rear overhang on perimeter benching to create a service void. Double width peninsular benching incorporates a central service void below the worktop height. A variety of accessories including overbench reagent shelving, sinks, wet and dry services, trunking, service cover panels etc. can be added to create a versatile, fully integrated, high specification laboratory. All components are manufactured to the highest standards ensuring that our installations are suitable for a wide variety of disciplines including research, industrial, healthcare, education & clean room applications. 3 Perimeter Bench Fumetec Type T1 Table frame for perimeter wall area where a narrow worktop depth of 600mm is required. This leaves a nominal 70mm gap between the frame and wall for services. All table frames are designed to allow underbench units to be either suspended, mobile or removable plinth. This enables the underbench units to be easily moved sideways or relocated to another bench. Table frame benches can also be supplied as mobile benching with heavy duty lockable castors. 4 Perimeter Bench Fumetec Type T2 Table frame for perimeter wall area. Worktop depths can be varied to suit applications but are typically 750 or 800mm deep. An 800mm deep worktop leaves an 180mm gap between the frame and wall for services. All table frames are designed to allow underbench units to be either suspended, mobile or removable plinth. This enables the underbench units to be easily moved sideways or relocated to another bench. Table frame benches can also be supplied as mobile benching with heavy duty lockable castors. 5 Service Bench Fumetec Type T3 Table frame to create a separate service spine in perimeter or island/peninsular applications. Other table frames or mobile benching can be used in conjunction with these to create a flexible laboratory layout. This service spine can be left open or enclosed with removable modesty panels. All table frames are designed to allow underbench units to be either suspended, mobile or removable plinth. Worktop depths can be varied to suit applications but are typically 800mm to 1000mm deep. All table frames are designed to allow underbench units to be either suspended, mobile or removable plinth. This enables the underbench units to be easily moved sideways or relocated to another bench. Table frame benches can also be supplied as mobile benching with heavy duty lockable castors. 9 Island Bench Reagent Shelving (fixed) Fixed height single or 2-tier reagent shelf units. Typical shelf height 500mm and 800mm. The reagent shelf unit can also form an overbench service bridge when required. Island Bench Reagent Shelving (adjustable) Adjustable height spur reagent shelving. This style of shelving can have as many tiers as required and be single or double sided.

10 Worktops Solid Grade Laminate : Trespa Athlon 16mm thick solid phenolic resin, acid resistant laboratory grade. This is probably the most universal laboratory worktop material, combining good chemical resistance with mechanical strength. Solid Grade Laminate : Trespa Toplab Plus 16mm or 20mm thick solid phenolic resin, acid resistant laboratory grade. This is a higher specification than the standard Trespa Athlon solid laminate. The material uses an improved formulation of resins to create greater chemical and stain resistance. The standard method of joining worktops with the FUMETEC Table frame bench systems is to support the joint over a gable or plate it underneath if over a tie-rail. The top is screwed to the tie-rails and edges arrissed and sealed with a suitable sealant. This enables joints to be renewed or individual worktop sections to be removed without disturbing adjacent tops if required. Cast Epoxy : 15mm cast epoxy resin sheet. This combines excellent chemical resistance with the possibility of having flush-fit sinks and integral marine edging. Joints are with an epoxy grout, with the same material properties as the worktop sheet to create a continuous and impervious work surface. This material is suitable for microbiological and radio active areas where ease of decontamination is an issue. 316 Grade Stainless Steel An alternate method is to have Trespa worktop sections jointed with biscuits, either with or without sealant. It is not possible to remove a worktop section without disturbing adjacent tops when biscuit joints are installed.. FUMETEC can install custom fabricated 316 grade stainless steel worktops of exceptional quality. Other worktop materials are available to order including laminated boards, PVC, polypropylene, acrylic polymers and ceramic. Separate chemical resistance and data sheets are available for the different worktop materials.

11 Storage Units Carcases : Factory assembled, of 18mm melamine faced MDF. All exposed edges finished with 2mm thick PVC edging. Door & Drawer fronts : Finished with 0.8mm VGS grade Formica laminate with 2mm thick matt black edging to all sides. Drawers : White metal drawer sides with 18mm melamine faced MDF base and back, on metal drawer runners. Drawers to have a safety stop mechanism. Hinges : Heavy duty 170º hinges with self closing mechanism. Handles : Metal bow handle, matt black finish. Other styles on request. Back panels: Manufactured in 8mm MDF. Cabinets can be manufactured in any size and in a variety of colours. We generally base underbench units around a 500/1000mm module size. Fully laminated carcases, Trespa and Metal cabinets available on request. There are 3 basic methods of installing underbench cabinets with the FUMETEC Table Frame, each allowing easy repositioning within the laboratory: Mobile - the cabinets are movable on lockable castors. Suspended - the cabinets are supported from the framework, leaving a clear space between the cabinet and the floor. Plinth - the cabinets are supported on a plinth that sits on the floor.

16 Sinks A full range of sinks is available in various materials to suit a variety of applications. Cast epoxy, 316 grade Stainless Steel and Polypropylene sinks are usually available in standard or bespoke sizes. Cast epoxy double drainer sit-on sink. Standard widths 1350, 1500 and 1650mm. Cast epoxy single drainer sit-on sink. Standard widths 1000 and 1200mm Cast epoxy inset and underslung bowls, approximately 15 sizes available from 160mm x 160mm up to 450mm x 600mm. 316 grade stainless steel sinks available as sit-on or inset styles with drainers or individual inset and underslung bowls. 18 Electrics Bench mounted pedestals. Available for 240v, data and telecommunication outlets. PED1: single switched socket outlet. PED2: double switched socket outlet. Single compartment trunking with sockets that need to be hard wired. The trunking locks onto ASSAB rails, the wall or bench supports. The middle compartment can carry 240v whilst the top and bottom compartments can carry low voltage, data and telecommunications cabling. Compartments can be shielded. The surface track is divided into 3 compartments, the central with a 63A single phase busbar with cable way. The other compartments are suitable for other cabling such as low voltage, data and telecommunications. Compartments can be shielded. A range of accessories such as sockets and RCD s simply plug onto the busbar without the need for hard wiring.
