2 What we do Consolidated Power Projects Australia Pty Ltd (CPP) is a high voltage electrical engineering service provider, delivering engineering, procurement, construction, switching and commissioning services (EPC or Turnkey) to clients throughout Australia. CPP provides tailored power transmission and distribution services (from low/medium voltage through to extra high voltage installations) for power utilities, industrial and mining companies, and for owners and developers of renewable energy projects. In 2016, CPP was purchased by Quanta Services Inc. US based with US$7.87b in revenue in 2015 and a Standard & Poor's Fortune 500 Company, Quanta is the largest infrastructure speciality contractor in North America. CPP s head office and core team are located in Adelaide with offices in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. On an as-needs basis, we establish project offices in other locations around Australia. 2

3 Who we are 125 successful power projects since 1996 At CPP our people are our most important asset. Since it was established in 1996, CPP has delivered over 125 projects throughout Australia. Clients include ElectraNet, TransGrid, Powerlink, Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy, Essential Energy, Jemena, CitiPower, AGL, Pacific Hydro, Roaring 40s, Senvion (formerly REPower/ Suzlon); Goldwind; Leighton Contractors, ABB, Siemens, Tenix and many more. CPP has established a reputation for delivering turnkey projects on time and to budget through meticulous planning and service excellence. CPP s certified Quality Management (ISO 9001), Safety (AS/NZS 4801) and Environmental (ISO 14001) Systems together with a strong hands on approach to project management, ensures that the design, procurement, construction, test, commissioning and maintenance of our projects are world class. 3

4 Area of Focus Our focus is on connecting power generation assets with Australia s power grid in our specialist area of high voltage substations, underground cable systems and overhead lines. As a project delivery focused company, CPP retains the skills required for project management, preliminary and detailed design, cost estimation, procurement, construction, installation, switching, testing and commissioning in its specialist area of high voltage substations, underground cable systems and overhead lines. In addition to our own skilled staff, CPP maintains strategic links with recognised technical experts, both locally and internationally, who contribute to projects as required. This capability enables us to have a flexible approach to project delivery and we readily adapt to the technical standards and specifications of different clients. 4

5 The Quanta Advantage Quanta Services Australia (QSA) In Australia, Quanta operates as Quanta Services Australia (QSA) with six standalone operating companies through which work is delivered. These include: z Consolidated Power Projects (CPP), which provides project engineering and construction services for electrical infrastructure z Enscope, specialising in project management, EPCM and commissioning z NJ Construction, which provides electrical infrastructure services. 6 Launch of EA PDP Program CPP understands the importance of engineering excellence as a key ingredient to successful projects and satisfied clients. It is for this reason we are proud to announce the launch of our Professional Development Program aimed specifically at the continual development of the professional capabilites of our engineers. Central to this program is the goal of achieving Engineers Australia Chartered status which has benefits starting with CPP but extending to our clients, the electrical industry and society as a whole, through the delivery of superior project outcomes. There is no doubt that developing an engineer s expertise and having those skills recognised by industry peers and senior engineering professionals alike brings about its own intrinsic reward. CPP is also focused on engraining this further development into our corporate culture and building upon the recognised engineering competence which already exists within our company. 6

10 Service Delivery Our team of engineers, designers, project managers and construction personnel work together to ensure all projects maintain the highest standard of technical proficiency from concept through to completion. Quality Certified Service Delivery Model CPP delivers all projects through an internal project delivery methodology and process that allocates resources, responsibilities and accountabilities, resulting in timely, cost effective and quality controlled outputs for customers. CPP has the capacity to deal with fluctuating workloads by drawing on the flexible and dynamic skill sets of its staff, who easily adapt to new market opportunities. Our interstate presence allows us to balance out our resources during cyclical peaks and troughs of client specific workloads. We maintain good relationships with other contractors in the event that we need to call on them for overflow work on a project. CPP is vendor neutral and provides flexible, cost effective, high quality design and construction services as an integrated single source solution. CPP is committed to meeting the needs and expectations of its clients through the implementation of the tried and proven ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System. Continuous improvement is integrated into our management functions and is maintained through ongoing professional development of staff and inspections and auditing of our activities. We are constantly reviewing and improving what we do and how we do it for the benefit of future projects. 10

11 Project Management When a project commences, CPP assigns a dedicated Project Manager who is responsible for liaising closely with the client, key stakeholders and other third party providers through every step of the project, from inception through to completion. Procurement CPP is able to source all materials and specialist services needed to successfully complete any project but is also flexible enough to accept free-issue from our client. Our engineers are included in the procurement process to witness factory acceptance tests (FAT) ensuring the equipment has been manufactured to fully comply with specifications. CPP follows a just-in-time system ensuring customer s inventory costs are carefully managed throughout the duration of the project. Design CPP has a dedicated in-house team of technical design engineers and technical design drafters, capable of delivering a complete range of services for both brownfield and greenfield projects. We can provide a complete customised solution to meet the client s specific requirements. Construction CPP has both in-house technical field staff and carefully selected engineering construction partners. This combination of resources provides specialist skills and resources which are mobilised to carry out site based works throughout Australia on a project specific needs basis. Testing & Commissioning CPP has a dedicated team of commissioning officers specialising in comprehensive testing and placing into service of HV plant and equipment. This includes acceptance testing at the factory (FAT) and on site (SAT). This team is complemented by our design engineers who also participate in the FAT and SAT to ensure performance of the plant and equipment as per the design. Any site refinements to the design are also carried forward into future projects. Maintenance CPP has the resources to carry out maintenance projects ranging from general routine tasks to more complex undertakings: z Maintenance planning; z Routine maintenance (substations; lines and secondary systems); z Planned corrective maintenance for substations; lines and secondary systems. 11

Where required, CPP has a tried and tested broad-based framework for the development of site specific Environmental and Cultural Heritage Management Plans, ensuring that any environmental or cultural risks, impacts or disturbances are either avoided or minimised. 12
