1 ADDENDUM NO. 2 TO THE TENDER DOCUMENTS FOR THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PENTICTON April 28, 2015 To All Tenderers: This Addendum is issued prior to the Tender Closing Date April 30, 2015, in accordance with the Tender Documents and shall be considered an integral part of the Contract Documents. Tenders submitted without this addendum will be considered incomplete. This addendum must be acknowledged in the Tender Form, Page FT-1, Item See attached revised a. Delete section S Item 1.3.1S Remove and Restore Irrigation Systems from the Tender. Questions: 1. Is the irrigation mainly removing and reinstating existing irrigation on home properties? The irrigation restorations are solely to reinstate any existing systems on home properties that may get damaged during installation of services in the boulevard. 2. If so are there any details as to which homes have irrigation (as-builts)? The City has no details or as-builts of the existing private irrigation systems. 3. Are there specifications pertaining to Penticton Irrigations Specs? The City s policy is to match the reinstatement with the same product that was removed or damaged. 4. Will all work be to the standards of IIABC? See answer Is there a chance that the scope of work for the irrigation can be clarified and detailed? There is no scope of work that can be defined for this item, as such, the City is deleting Section S Item 1.3.1S Remove and Restore Irrigation Systems from the contract. The City will pay for irrigation restorations on a force account basis for labor and materials as per the provisions in the MMCD GC 10 only within the trench neat lines. The Contractor is expected to take all reasonable steps to avoid unnecessary damage to private irrigation systems as per GC 4.3 Protection or work, property and the public.
