Please refer to the above Tender Call document in your possession and be advised of the following: 1. Specifications 1- CLARIFICATION Section Ice Rink Dasher Boards and Equipment: Item shall be deleted and replaced with; No section of the existing Dasherboard system is to be reused. 2- CLARIFICATION Section Ice Rink Dasher Boards and Equipment: Item shall be deleted 3- CLARIFICATION Section Ice Rink Dasher Boards and Equipment: Item shall be deleted and replaced with Work of this Section is included in the removal and replacement of the existing dasherboards and installation of new dasherboards 4- CLARIFICATION Section Ice Rink Dasher Boards and Equipment: Item shall be deleted and replaced with Spectator Shield Mounting Hardware: Existing posts should not be reused. 5- CLARIFICATION Section Ice Rink Dasher Boards and Equipment: Item shall be deleted and replaced with Spectator Shielding: existing glass shall not be reused. 6- CLARIFICATION Section Ice Rink Dasher Boards and Equipment: Item shall be deleted and replaced with The glass shielding installed behind and on dividers of the players boxes to be new. 7- CLARIFICATION Section Ice Rink Dasher Boards and Equipment: Item shall be deleted and replaced with Barrier netting existing barrier netting and support structure to be removed and replaced with new. 8- CLARIFICATION Section Ice Rink Dasher Boards and Equipment: Item shall be deleted including items and Addendum No. 5 for TCN Page 1 of 6

Questions & Answers The following are the responses to questions received during the call period: Q1) Drawing 3/A-301 (Existing Block and New Veneer Wall Section): This section is incorrect because it doesn t show the metal siding, from the top of the wall, observed during the site visit. The Architect stated that the metal siding is remain. Please issue a revised wall section drawing to illustrate the removal and replacement of the parapet adjacent to metal siding. A1) The section has been prepared from the North corner of the wall where it does not cut through the siding. Q2) Drawing 3/A-501 (Heated Seating Area): Shows new gypsum board ceiling to be constructed but drawing A-150 indicates existing gypsum board ceiling. Also, the demolition drawing (AD-105) does not mention removal of the ceiling in the heated seating area. Please clarify. A2) Ceiling in the heated seated and viewing area to be removed and replaced completely. Q3) Drawing A-601: Concerning the hardware, the specifications mentions 7 hardware groups and to refer to the drawings for each door hardware requirements, but, the room finish schedule shows only none in the detail group column of the door schedule. Please clarify where each hardware group is required for every door. A3) Hardware schedule to be prepared by the hardware specialist and approved by the consultant under the cash allowance. Q4) 15/Drawing A-603 (Elevation 3-a): Please clarify what is to be done with this screen. Is it to be removed and replaced in its entirety or is to be partially modified or will it remain as is? A4) This screen is to be replaced entirely. Q5) Drawing A-604: The room finish schedule shows VPF (Vynal Polished Floor) and CT (Ceramic Floor) but are not included in the specifications. A5) There is no floor finish with CT or VPF in the project. All rooms showing CT or VPF are to be Porcelain tile. Q6) Specifications includes three types of rubber flooring but the drawings and finish schedule only shows RB (Rubber Tile). Please specify where each type of rubber flooring is located. A6) Heavy duty rubber tiles are to be used in the project. Q7) Resilient VCT is included in the specifications but is not mentioned anywhere in the drawings. Is VCT flooring required on this project? 3 A7) No VCT is used in the project. Q8) Drawing AD-104: The top left corner of the roof plan indicates this portion of the roof it be removed in its entirety yet there is a NIC (not in contract) symbol on it. Please confirm is this part of the GCs scope of work. A8) All hatched areas on this drawings are to be removed. The note on the pool roof is a typo. Q9) Drawing AS-101: The site plan shows new concrete sidewalk between the arena, community center and existing parking lot. However, the architect mentioned that this was only a patch and repair scope. Is there a rough quantity of the work involved since the drawings make no mention of it? A9) The contractor to consider all areas as new concrete sidewalk. Q10) Detail 1 & 5 on Drawing R-003: Specifications call for backfill to be sand and the drawings show Granular A. Which is correct? A10) Backfill to be Granular A. Q11) Detail 1 includes an extra 400mm depth Granular A for areas close to foundations, however, none of the drawings show the locations of the foundations. Please clarify. A11) There is an anticipation of a foundation at every gridline running east-west along the ice slab. Q12) I noticed the Hardware Group s per specification s have no Opening s associated with them. A12) Door openings are provided in the details showing door panel types. Q13) Also the in the Door Schedule on drawing A-601, the EXIST. comments are confusing as to what the intent of the opening is. Am I to replace these doors and frames, just the hardware, or are all elements of the opening to remain? A13) All doors showing EXIST are to remain. No action required. Q14) states, The majority of dasher board sections, glass, support posts and gates from the existing large rink are to be reused in the construction of the new dasher board layout. The drawings show which gates need to be reused. I believe the intention is for an entirely new set of dasher boards, and we are not to reuse any existing parts, please confirm. A14) No component of the existing dasher board system is to be reused. Q15) states, Junior skating rink, aluminum dasher boards and ice dam. Please confirm, the drawings do not show a Junior rink. 4 A15) No Junior rink is required. Section deleted from the specifications. Q16) states, Work of this Section is included the furnishing and installation of new dasher boards, and reinstallation of existing dasher boards Please confirm. A16) Work included is for the removal of the existing dasher board and replacement with new. Q17) Spec calls for HDPE cladding to have UV stabilizers added, typically this only included on outdoor rinks, not indoor rinks. Please confirm. A17) UV stabilizers are required. Q18) calls for height of spectator shielding shall be as existing. Please confirm A18) Height of spectator shielding shall be as existing. Q19) Please confirm alternate #1 is to reuse the existing glazing? Please confirm if we are to reuse the existing netting or provide all new? Please confirm the location of the netting? A19) No component of the dasherboard system including glazing or netting is to be reused. Q20) calls for an optional price for an ice dam. Ice dams are typically used in facilities that remove the boards and the ice is to remain in place..1 also calls out for a junior rink, skating trail... Please confirm. A20) No ice dam is required. Also, refer to A15. Q21) Dwg A102 does not show penalty boxes and gates for the penalty boxes, please confirm. A21) Penalty boxes and gates for penalty boxes are not required. Q22) Drawing R-102 indicated states the contractor shall provide underfloor heating pipes along with mini headers but drawing R-003 does not indicate any underfloor heating pipes in the rink floor. Please clarify. A22) Underfloor heating is required. Q23 Based on the refrigeration system horsepower the existing power provided is inadequate. More power is required for this refrigeration system. 5 A23) The power requirements are adequate. Q24) We have received a call this morning requested a price from our firm for the above mentioned project. We have not been notified by the City of Toronto or AECOM that we were specified installers for Low E Ceiling and Ice Rink design on this project. We would certainly like to work out quotes for our scope of work that we have been specified, however we are limited by time restraints. Would it be possible to extend the closing date to Friday February 17, 2017? A24) Section Low E ceilings item provides a list of acceptable manufacturers as acceptable. Contractors may use the listed manufacturers or equivalent. Closing date has been revised to February 17 th, 2017 via Addendum No. 4. Q25) I have attached a PDF of the room and the W4 marker, there is no listing for what this may be? A nib wall? a section they would like the partition to close off? A25) This is a 190mm Gypsum board nib wall. Q26) As well, a notation is made to a COM vinyl. Do you know if this has been specified? Generally it gets accounted for in the tender and we would order it. It has to go through an approval to our manufacturer before it can be ordered. A26) No reference to COM Vinyl has been made. Q27) The specifications call out 3 different STC Ratings and panel faces. In order to have an ADA compliant pass door the panels must be made of steel, so I cannot quote a MDF face panel. A27) The specifications is correct and is calling for three different STC ratings for the three different components of the panels and their material. The panel has uses steel skin STC rating of 50 as mentioned in Section item Q28) Page24 of 144 of Tender documents: 6.2: Mandatory requirements prior to award: This section says that the Experience and Qualification has to be submitted within 5 working days upon being contacted by the City. Page 2 of 186 Addendum#1: Item 2: says that in order to satisfy the requirements of section A, Five separate reference projects are to be submitted: I cannot find Section A in tender documents. Please advise where is this section. Further please also advise if we have to submit reference projects now or after being contacted by the city per clause 6.2 of the tender documents. A28) The mandatory requirements referred to in Addendum #1: item 2 is located in section 2.6.2A. Reference projects must be submitted within five (5) working days upon being contacted by the City as per section Q29) The written specifications for the roof assembly call s for 4-ply built up roof but the roof drawings are showing R1 roof - Two ply modified bitumen roof, which type of roof should we price? 6 Page A29) 2 ply is mod bit is correct. Q30) lam just noticing that Addcndum#2, Alternative prices there is not description of what the city wants to get pricing for, Please clarify. A30 Alternate prices are not required. Delete Pricing Form Alternative Prices (Revised February 8,2017) issued via addendum No.2. Q3 1) A new structural evaporative condenser platform is reqiured. Can a cash allowance be made as it needs to be designed by a structural engineer so it can be properly quoted by the general contractor? A31) The new structural condenser platform is called for on R-002 to be designed as per the final equipment selected by the CC. However, a design based on the condenser selected in the specification which will be provided in the next addendum. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
