Window was fitted with weatherpile seals externally and Aquamac internally and at meeting rails. 4 SPECIIERS CHECKLIST Scale: not to scale Not all double-hung windows are the same. Most have sashes that go up and down - but if you want your windows to perform and match the architectural appearance you are looking for there are some things you should check/compare when choosing your supplier. EATURE Opposition Does the window comply with the relevant Australian Standards. All windows should comply but it pays to ask for written proof. Designed for exposed locations. has a 300Pa water resistance as standard. This makes the product suitable for exposed locations. Can I make large windows and still comply. We can make this double-hung up to 2100mm x 1510mm wide and still comply. Our sashes and matching fixed sidelight will accept glass from 4mm to 8.38mm single glaze or 20mm insulating glass units using custom stiles and rails to accept this thicker glass panel Wide frame with bold sashes. 102mm wide perimeter frame. 30mm thick sashes. Tilt sash standard. MAGNUM sashes can be tilted back into the room to allow cleaning of the external face of the glass from inside the building. This will be a major advantage in elevated situations where external access may be difficult to impossible. Custom locking options. We have designed a locking cam for this window that won t catch the curtains or blinds. Locks can be colour matched to the sash finish. Clean flyscreen installation. lyscreens nest into the perimeter frame and are secured with custom concealed nylon spring clips that reduce the chance of screens rattling or falling out. Window can be coupled to sliding doors or other windows without visible rivets. Rounded internal frame corners where ever possible. The main perimeter frame has 2mm soft internal corner radius. Lowlight mullions also have the same soft internal radius plus they are setback 2mm from the edge like timber windows to give a clean finish. Modern paint finishes don t like sharp corners. Paddington federation trim option available. We can clip Paddington federation trims straight to the main frame. These trims can be colour matched or coloured to contrast with the main frame. The window is compatible (appearance) with the high performance MAGNUM horizontal sliding, awning and casement windows. A large range of snap couplers allow these windows to be joined at 90, 135 and 180 without unsightly rivets or screws. Refer installation section for more information. These couplers would also allow this window to couple to Bi-fold windows, Bi-fold doors, rench doors and Sliding doors. Matching fixed sidelights / highlights and lowlights. Sashes and sidelight will accept glass from 4mm to 8.38mm single glaze or 20mm insulating glass units. If in doubt as to whether a window requires safety glass always err on the side of safety. Combination windows with transom are fabricated as separate units then joined with 'I' coupler Important Note: In elevated situations (above ground level) the position of the transom should be considered with safety in mind. In some areas there may be regulations covering the height of the transom above floor level. refer AS1288 for lowlight glass minimum requirements.

7 WINDOW COUPLING OPTIONS Scale: not to scale windows can be clipped to Series 541, 542 or 618 sliding doors using the box coupler or 'I' coupler 42030*. The 'I' coupler can also be used to create a significantly stronger mullion by coupling two windows together as shown left. 9 HORIZONTAL CROSS SECTION - THROUGH OPENING SASH Replaces: aug o3 Scale: HAL ULL SIZE External frame recess will accept Vantage extruded flyscreen - when required. Side rails sealed with 'Aquamac' on the inside and weatherpile on the outside. Nylon sash latches can be disengaged to allow sashes to be tilted back into the room. This allows both sides of the glass to be cleaned from inside. Jamb Top sash fitted with die cast horns as illustrated below (not available on anodised finishes). Heavy duty spring balances allow us to fit thick/heavy glass including double glazed units.
