No matter how small the job was the waiting for the screed to cure, motivated us to find another way that is time efficient and cost effective. We are excited to introduce our latest product called the Paskaseal SRB Preformed Shower Base. The Paskaseal SRB Preformed Shower Base is a screed replacement, it is a light weight preformed substrate used to form falls in a surface before tiling. Paskaseal SRB Preformed Shower Bases are manufactured from high density and high impact resistant foam specifically made for the intended use. The shower bases are manufactured to the projects specific requirements and to comply with AS The Paskaseal SRB Preformed Shower Base can be manufactured to accommodate strip or point wastes to any configuration or size. The Paskaseal SRB Preformed Shower Base is a cost and time efficient substitute to the conventional screeded substrates which may absorb moisture. The time frame to install our Paskaseal SRB Preformed Shower Base is a maximum of two hours. By installing the Paskaseal SRB Preformed Shower Base you will cut your work load by five days which in reality will be saving you time and money on labour costs. The Paskaseal SRB Preformed Shower Base is manufactured in Australia. It is available in 3 standard sizes, in addition custom made is also available on order. Please note that all Paskaseal SRB Preformed Shower Bases can be manufactured with a Hob. 3 Paskaseal SRB Shower Base Smart Waste A large dish drain floor level, which allows flexible positioning for grates and waste outlets and eliminates leaks around shower grates. Smart waste is a moulded plastic floor waste, made from ABS, with a 15mm compressed fibro lid and fibreglass mat for reinforcing waterproof membrane. Paskal Tile & Stone recommends that our clients use the smart waste system for the following reasons : Allows grates to be positioned symmetrically with tiles and bathroom fixtures. Avoids leaks under the shower and other wet areas. Simplifies installation. Eliminates riser pipes above floor slab during construction. The paskaseal SRB Median Preformed Shower Base is suitable for both L and U shape showers. The nominal dimensions shown can be varied to suit the installation, with the perimeter thickness set at 30mm or 40mm. All Paskaseal SRB Preformed Shower Bases can be manufactured with a Hob. It is suitable for L shape showers. The dimensions shown can be varied to suit the installation with the base thickness set at 30mm or 40mm at the perimeter and the hob height 70mm. 5 SRB Shower Base Installation 1- Place Paskaseal SRB Preformed Shower Base in the nominated area. Mark the perimeter of the shower base. 2- Remove shower base and check that the floor is level. 3- Prime the floor area. 4- Measure and cut the water stop anodised aluminium angles 5- Install the water stop anodised aluminium angles using Silicone. (Secure with screws if required). 6- Using Polyurethane Silicone fill the sides of the water stop angles. 7- Measure and cut the sheet membrane to suite the exact area of the shower base. 8- Apply recommended Adhesive to bond with sheet membrane. 9- Fix the sheet membrane against the adhesive to ensure that full contact is achieved with no void present under the shower base. 10-Install corner collar and bond breaker using Adhesive to wall and floor junctions. 11- Adhere the Paskaseal SRB Preformed Shower Base to the sheet membrane using polymer modified cement based adhesive mixed with latex additive and 8 mm notched trowel. 12- There should be a certainty the shower base has bonded. 13- Using a leveller, check the level of the shower base and the falls. 14- Apply polyurethane silicone prior to installing the puddle flange to ensure the area is sealed. 15- Install puddle flange and infill around the area using polyurethane silicone. 16- Apply polyurethane silicone to wall and floor junctions. 17- apply approved membrane shower enclosure. The nominal dimensions can be varied to suit installation. The Perimeter thickness set at 40 mm. The Paskaseal SRB Channel Preformed Shower Base is designed for the Tile Insert. Custom made shower bases requires 5 days notice. Cutting Instructions Paskal Tile & Stone recommend using a 100 tooth fine metal blade drop saw, grinder or hacksaw for all cutting procedures. Cut bottom tray 2mm shorter than desired length to allow end caps to be fitted. Cut top grate 5mm shorter than bottom tray to allow grate to be lifted out for easy cleaning of the bottom tray. Allow grate to be lifted out for easy cleaning of the bottom tray only, at the required position depending on the location of the waste pipe. Insert end caps Into the bottom tray and secure with a bead of silicone on the inside of the tray. Insert end caps into the bottom tray and secure with a bead of silicone on the inside of the tray.
