1 Page:1 Sandy's Joy - List of materials needed to construct a weather tight home. Additional materials needed to complete the rough-in framing are also listed. PLEASE NOTE: 1. 'While every attempt has been made in the preparation of this materals list to avoid mistakes, B&H Cedar Log Homes, L.L.C. cannot guarantee against human error. The customer must check, or have a local building materials supplier check, all items & quantities and be wholly responsible for same. 2. The TOTAL cost of constructing the model to the weather tight stage will be the building permit cost, plus the cost of clearing the lot, plus the cost of any drivewar construction, plus the cost of basement excavation (if needed), plus the cost of footers, plus the cost of the foundation, plus the kit cost, plus the cost of weather tight materials, plus the cost of labor (typically $11 - $14 per square foot) to erect the weather tight shell. 3. Weather tight construction begins with the foundation in place and ends with the black paper on the roof and the windows and exterior doors installed. Typically, weather tight construction includes load bearing interior stud walls but not the non-load bearing stud walls. 4. Rough-in construction includes all framing not completed during the weather tight construction. Rough-in materials, including porchs & decks, are itemized in this list of materials. 4. Refer to wall schematic on the last page. 5. Questions or comments? Call or info@cedar-log-homes.com. INSTRUCTIONS: Price the materials (Indicated by "Y") at your local suppliers & enter the prices in the COST column. Enter theses prices in the itemized list and Calculate the total cost of the weather tight or rough in construction.
