1 SECTION MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT PART 1 -- GENERAL 1.1 SCOPE A. The Contractor shall receive and accept the compensation as provided in the Bid Form as full payment for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and for performing all operations necessary to complete the Work. B. The prices stated in the Bid Form include all costs and expenses for taxes, labor, equipment, materials, traffic control and maintenance, commissions, transportation charges and expenses, patent fees and royalties, labor for handling materials during inspection, together with any and all other costs and expenses for performing and completing the Work as shown on the Drawings and specified herein. The Basis for Payment for an item at the unit price shown shall be in accordance with the description of the item in this Section. C. The Unit Prices for the various items of Work are intended to establish a total price for completing the Work in its entirety. Should the Contractor feel that the costs for any items of Work has not been established by the Bid Form and this Section, he shall include the costs for that Work in a related Work item or in some other applicable bid item, so that his proposal for the project reflects his total price for completing the Work in its entirety. 1.2 MEASUREMENT A. The quantities for payment under this Contract Agreement shall be determined by actual measurement of the completed items, in place, ready for service and accepted by the Owner, in accordance with the applicable method of measurement. A representative of the Contractor shall witness all field measurements. As built drawings shall reflect all changes so that field measurements will match the scaled plan drawings. 1.3 SAVINGS PROPOSALS A. The Contractor may make proposals to change the Work, which result in savings in the cost to perform the Work. When such proposals are made, they will be referred to the Owner for evaluation. If it is determined by the Owner that the proposal provides the same level of service and if the Owner accepts the change, the Contractor shall provide an estimate of the savings resulting from the proposed change. The Owner and the Contractor shall share equally in the savings after all costs for evaluation and review by the Owner have been deducted. A change order documenting the changes will be issued by the Owner to incorporate the changes including the savings through revised Unit Prices. ADDENDUM 1 REV. 01/10/ City of Cape Coral

2 1.4 ALLOWANCES A. Allowances that may be included on the Bid Form will be performed in accordance with the General Conditions and will be paid for on the basis of the Cost of the Work. No markups are permitted on Allowances. 1.5 NO SEPARATE MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT FOR REMOVAL OF ROCK AND OTHER UNSUITABLE MATERIALS A. Payment for items requiring excavation will be made at the Bid Form unit price for the size and type installed, which payment shall be full compensation for all excavation, including removal and proper disposal of rock, inorganic and organic unsuitable fill materials. Include the cost of removal and proper disposal of these materials in the item for which they are most closely associated. 1.6 NO SEPARATE MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT FOR CONTRACTOR S USE OF OWNER WATER A. Payment for items requiring use of owner water will be made at the Bid Form unit price for the size and type installed, which payment shall be full compensation for use of Owner water for testing, flushing, dust control, and all other construction uses including actual cost of the water and meter rental billed by Owner. Include the cost of use of Owner water in the item for which they are most closely associated. 1.7 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT ITEMS A. The numbering system for the measurement and payment items described in this Section and the associated Bid Form is based on the Owner s bid item numbering system and is used herein. Bid items not included in the sequential numbering order of the Bid Form indicates a bid item that is NOT USED or that does not apply to the Work included in this project. BID FORM PART A GENERAL REQUIREMENTS ITEM 100 MOBILIZATION A. Measurement for payment for mobilization as described in the Specifications will be on a lump sum basis. B. Payment for mobilization will be made at the Bid Form lump sum price, which will be made upon completion of all items indicated in Section Mobilization. No partial payments will be made for this pay item. The maximum amount paid for mobilization shall be limited to 3.0% of the total Contract Price. Payment for mobilization shall include but not be limited to all items listed in Section ADDENDUM 1 REV. 01/10/ City of Cape Coral

3 ITEM 101 SURVEYING, LAYOUT AND FIELD STAKING A. Measurement for payment for surveying, layout and field staking as described in Specification Field Engineering and Surveying will be on a lump sum basis. B. Payment for Surveying, Layout and Field Staking will be made at the Bid Form lump sum price, paid in equal monthly amounts based on the scheduled duration of the project, from Notice to Proceed to Substantial Completion, which will be full compensation for all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to provide surveying, layout and field staking as described in Specification including replacement/restoration of any damaged/removed items. C. Payment for Locating Utilities in Advance of Construction Contractor will be included in the contract lump price for this item, which price and payment shall be full compensation for all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to physically locate all utilities in the immediate area using non-destructive digging equipment, supplies and personnel experienced in the use of subsurface utility engineering (SUE) to determine precise horizontal and vertical positions of all utilities within the project limits. The Contractor shall perform utility locates at least 21 calendar days in advance of construction in order to request clarification if required from the Engineer. The Engineer will have 7 calendar days to respond. This construction scheduling will allow all necessary decisions to be made prior to the Contractor s crews reaching the work area and having a delay claim and/or a crew mobilization/demobilization claim. D. The Work includes equipment to paint/mark the approximate position of the public or private underground utility, vacuum excavation equipment that includes air tools (water jet, air lance) to break up the surface and soil. The vacuum excavation equipment involves removing the disturbed soil and temporarily storing it. The exposed underground utility is examined and pertinent data such as size, type, material, and depth is gathered. A marker such as an iron rod and cap or nail and disk are placed next to the test hole and the depth measurement is taken to this point. The stored soil is then returned to the excavated test hole and the surface is returned to its original state; asphalt patch is tamped into the hole when applicable. Markings such as paint and/or lathe and ribbon are left near the hole for future identification. Assume all lines to be located are active lines and service must be maintained at all times possible. ITEM 102 MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC A. Measurement for payment for maintenance of traffic as described in Specification will be on a lump sum basis. B. Payment for maintenance of traffic will be made at the Bid Form lump sum price, which will be full compensation for all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to provide maintenance of traffic items as described in Specification including replacement/restoration of any damaged/removed items due to maintenance of traffic plan, ADDENDUM 1 REV. 01/10/ City of Cape Coral

4 shall be paid in equal monthly amounts based on the scheduled duration of the project from Notice to Proceed to Substantial Completion. ITEM 103 PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BONDS A. Measurement for payment for providing performance and payment bonds in the amount of the Contract Price shall be on a lump sum basis. B. Payment for performance and payment bonds will be made at the Bid Form lump sum price, which will be full compensation for all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to provide the bonds. Payment up to the actual cost of the bonds will be made to the Contractor in the first payment application after delivery of the Performance and Payment Bonds and documentation of the cost of the bonds from Contractor s bonding companies. The balance of the lump sum bid price, if any, associated with this line item will be paid as a part of the Contractor s final invoice and payment. ITEM 104 MAINTENANCE BOND A. Measurement for payment for providing a two-year maintenance bond in the amount defined in Specifiction Section 01740, 1.5 shall be on a lump sum basis. B. Payment for the maintenance bond will be made at the Bid Form lump sum price at substantial completion of the Utility Work. ITEM 105 CLEARING AND GRUBBING OF WOODED AREAS A. Measurement for payment as defined in Section Site Preparation shall be on a per acre basis. This item will apply only to those areas identified in the Drawings as clear and grub heavily wooded area. B. Payment shall be made at the Bid Form unit price per acre cleared and grubbed, upon completion of satisfactory removal of objectionable material and disposal offsite. BID FORM PART A - GENERAL CIVIL ITEM 110 FINAL RECORD DRAWINGS AND FINAL SUBMITTALS A. Measurement for payment for Final Record Drawings and Final Submittals shall be on a lump sum basis for providing submittals as described in Sections Field Engineering and Surveying, Contractor Submittals, and Project Closeout, and will be considered complete upon the approval of all the record drawings and final submittals listed in those Sections by the City. Payment for the final record drawings and final submittals shall be made at the Bid Form lump sum price, which will be full compensation for all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to prepare and deliver the record drawings and final submittals. The following rules of credit will be used for payment of this Work: Certified As-Builts 50% Final Submittals 50% ITEM 111 SILT BARRIERS ACROSS SWALES A. Measurement for payment for silt barriers across swales shall be the actual number of units with spacing as indicated in the Erosion Control Details on the Drawings including Type I, II, and III barriers, installed, accepted, and maintained until permanent erosion control measures are established. B. Payment for silt fences across swales to prevent siltation of receiving waters from dewatering activities, storm water, etc. will be made at the Bid Form unit price per each Item installed, which price shall be full compensation for installation, maintenance and removal of silt barriers, including all labor, materials, equipment, and other incidentals necessary to complete the item, as shown on the Drawings. Silt barriers will only be paid one time at each location. ITEM 112 SILT FENCES ALONG EXCAVATION/SPECIES A. Measurement for payment for silt fences along excavation and/or protected species areas shall be the actual linear feet of Type III silt fence, installed to a depth of 8 inches below the ground surface, accepted, and maintained until substantial completion of all Utility Work. The cost of reinstallation of damaged barriers will be borne by the Contractor. B. Payment for silt fences along excavation and/or protected species areas will be made at the Bid Form unit price per each Item installed, which price shall be full compensation for installation, maintenance and removal of silt barriers, including all labor, materials, equipment, and other incidentals necessary to complete the item, as shown on the Drawings or as required by the City. ITEM 113 INLET PROTECTION PER STRUCTURE A. Measurement for payment for inlet protection shall be the number of storm water structures for which erosion control devices are installed and accepted. The protection can be by any of the methods indicated on the Drawings. B. Payment for erosion control devices for storm water structures to prevent siltation of receiving waters from dewatering activities, storm water, etc. will be made at the Bid Form unit price per each Item installed, which price shall be full compensation for cleaning of the ADDENDUM 1 REV. 01/10/ City of Cape Coral

6 structure prior to installation, complete installation of inlet protection, maintenance, and removal of inlet protection, including all labor, materials, equipment, and other incidentals necessary to complete the item, as shown on the Drawings. Inlet protection shall be maintained for the duration of the project, and shall only be paid once for each inlet. ITEM 114 SILT CURTAIN IN CANAL A. Measurement for payment for silt curtain in a canal shall be the actual number of silt curtains installed per each discharge location actually protected by silt curtain as installed and accepted. The cost of reinstallation of damaged or loose silt curtains will be borne by the Contractor. B. Payment for silt curtain will be made at the Bid Form unit price per each discharge location, which price shall be full compensation for installation, maintenance and removal of silt curtain, including all labor, materials, equipment, and other incidentals necessary to complete the item, as shown on the Drawings or as required by the City. ITEMS 122 THROUGH 129 REMOVE AND REPLACE DRIVEWAYS A. Measurement for payment for driveway removal and replacement shall be as follows: 1. Painted, Decorative, Asphaltic, and Plain Concrete Driveways where the center line of the proposed pipe(s) is/are located greater than 7 feet off the edge of pavement Removal and replacement shall be the actual area in square yards for the type of driveway removed and replaced. Driveway limits are determined by the pre-existing areas being removed by the Work within the right-of-way. The Contractor at his option may choose to jack and bore pipe or casing under driveways. If the Contractor chooses to jack and bore under driveways the width of the measurement will be from edge of pavement to the right-of-way line. No additional measurement or payment for casing for driveways will be made if the Contractor installs a casing for his own convenience. Driveways that have existing casings for pipe installation shall not be considered for payment. Incidental driveway repairs shall be made at Contractor s expense. Any driveways with identified issues such as cracks, etc. must be replaced/repaired prior to Substantial Completion. All completed driveways with issues identified during the 3 year warranty period shall be replaced/repaired within 2 months of notification. 2. Painted, Decorative, Asphaltic and Plain Concrete driveways where the center line of the pipe(s) is/are located less than 7 feet off the edge of pavement Removal and replacement shall be the actual area in square yards removed and replaced. Driveway limits are determined by the pre-existing areas being removed by the Work and shall be minimized. Driveways shall be removed and replaced to a single saw cut line, a minimum of 3 feet from the roadway, or to the nearest control joint. The removal and replacement of the driveway should not be greater than 10 feet from the roadway edge without the approval of the Owner. The Contractor at his option may choose to jack and bore pipe or install casing under driveways. If the Contractor chooses to jack and bore under driveways the measurement for payment will be to 10 feet from the roadway edge ADDENDUM 1 REV. 01/10/ City of Cape Coral

7 to the dimensions of the driveway to the roadway. No additional measurement or payment for casing for driveways will be made if the Contractor installs a casing for his own convenience. Driveways that have existing casings shall not be considered for payment. Incidental driveway repairs shall be made at Contractor s expense. Any driveways with identified issues such as cracks, etc. must be replaced/repaired prior to Substantial Completion. All completed driveways with issues identified during the 3 year warranty period shall be replaced/repaired within 2 months of notification. 3. All Brick Paver Driveways Contractor shall not disturb any decorative or brick paver driveways without prior written approval by the City. Contractor shall install pipe by jack and bore or other acceptable trenchless method or install casing under driveways. Measurement for payment will be to 10 feet from the roadway edge to the dimensions of the driveway to the roadway. No additional measurement or payment for casing for driveways will be made if the Contractor installs a casing for his own convenience. Driveways that have existing casings shall not be considered for payment. Incidental driveway repairs shall be made at Contractor expense. Any driveways with identified issues must be replaced/repaired prior to Substantial Completion. All completed driveways with issues identified during the 3 year warranty period shall be replaced/repaired within 2 months of notification. B. Payment for removal and replacement of Painted, Asphaltic, Paver and Plain Concrete driveways shall be made at the Bid Form Unit price per square yard for the type of 4-inch or 6-inch thick (and above) driveway or paver driveway constructed, which price will be full compensation for materials, transportation, equipment, labor, removal and disposal of material, stabilization of the subgrade, base material, grading, jointing, finishing, and all other incidentals necessary to complete this item. If pipe or casing is installed by jack and bore or other acceptable trenchless method, payment shall be at the same price and measurement unit as for open cut. Driveways shall be paid once only on completion. C. The following rules of credit will be used for payment of this Work: For Plain Concrete Driveways: Driveway Poured 75% Driveway Saw Cuts are Complete 25% For Painted Concrete Driveways: Driveway Poured 50% Driveway Saw Cuts, Paint etc. are Complete and Pre- and Post-construction Releases are Signed by Homeowner 50% For Decorative Concrete Driveways: Driveway Poured 50% ADDENDUM 1 REV. 01/10/ City of Cape Coral

8 Driveway Saw Cuts, Stamping, Paint, etc. are Complete and Pre-and Post-construction Releases are Signed by Homeowner 50% For Brick Paver Driveways: Driveway Completed and Pre- and Post-construction Releases are Signed by Homeowner 100% ITEM 130 RESTORATION (SWALES AND SOD) A. Measurement for payment shall be the total linear feet of centerline of roadway exactly parallel to where new pressure and gravity mains are installed. Restoration will be measured for payment only once for any linear foot of roadway construction baseline of local and four lane roadways (a four lane roadway only has one baseline) regardless of the number of gravity sewer, potable water, irrigation water, force main, storm water or other pipes installed under or adjacent to the roadway. This item includes the restoration work associated with the installation of gravity sewer, sewer force main, irrigation main and raw and potable water mains (including Work under pavement) specified under Section Restoration includes the restoration of swales, lawn areas, grass, landscaping, mailboxes, sodding (excluding medians), seeding and mulching, replacement of existing sprinkler pipe and heads, fences, curbing, signs, and other appurtenances. Restoration within the Limits of Payment of a Jack and Bore, Horizontal Directional Drill and Aerial Crossing, will not be included in the measurement and shall be paid under that construction method s pay item. Median restoration will not be measured for payment under this item. The Contractor at his option may choose to bore and jack pipe or install casing under lawns or to avoid trees or other property owner improvements. If the Contractor chooses to bore and jack under lawns or to avoid trees or other property owner improvements the measurement will be the same as described above. Property Owner notification, as outlined in Section Restoration, shall be included Contractor s price for installation. B. Payment for all restoration work will be made at the Bid Form unit price per linear foot of restoration. The total price for restoration must be, at a minimum, 5% of the total Contract price to ensure restoration is completed on a timely basis, and will be full compensation for the removal and resetting of any private or public signs, markers, mailboxes, fences, sprinklers, swales, curbing and other appurtenances, filling and final grading of all areas within the project, final grading of disturbed areas (to provide positive drainage), removal of trees, bushes and other vegetation, sodding, seeding, mulching, hauling, watering, fertilizing, all labor, materials, equipment, and other incidentals necessary to complete the item. 9 ITEMS 140, 141 AND 142 PAVEMENT REMOVE AND REPLACE ASPHALTIC CONCRETE STREET A. Measurement for payment for pavement removal and restoration shall be the actual square yards asphaltic concrete street pavement removed and restored. Street pavement limits are determined by the typical pre-existing pavement width and additional sewer side roadway widening as shown on the Drawings. Remove and Replace Street Pavement will not be paid for the additional roadway widening section. B. Payment for pavement removal and replacement shall be made at the Bid Form unit price per square yard, which price will be full compensation for removal and disposal of existing pavement, base and subbase material, grading, compaction, replacement of base, construction of subgrade, base, pavement material, pavement markings, adjustments to valve pads prior to final lift, restoration of traffic control loops disturbed by construction, transportation, labor, equipment, preparation and submittal of as-built information, and all other incidentals required to complete the item. C. The following rules of credit will be used for payment of this Work: Local Roads: Subgrade, Base, Prime Coat and 1 st Lift installed 80% Asphalt Paving/Signage/Markings installed Final Lift 20% Collector Roads and Divided Roads: Subgrade, Base, Prime Coat and 1 st Lift installed 80% Asphalt Paving/Signage/Markings installed Final Lift 20% ITEM 143 MILLING ROADWAY A. Measurement for payment for milling of existing asphalt pavements (1-inch average depth) shall be the actual square yards of milling performed and inspected. Milling limits are as shown on the Drawings. B. Payment for roadway milling shall be made at the Bid Form unit price per square yard, which price will be full compensation for milling, removal and disposal of existing pavement, transportation, labor, equipment, and all other incidentals required to complete the item. ITEM 144 MILLING BRIDGE MILLING A. Measurement for payment for milling of existing asphalt pavements (1-inch average depth) shall be the actual square yards of milling performed and inspected. Payment for roadway milling shall be made at the Bid Form unit price per square yard, which price will be full compensation for milling, removal and disposal of existing pavement, transportation, labor, equipment, and all other incidentals required to complete the item. ITEM 145 LEVELING COURSE FOR OVERLAY STREETS A. Measurement for payment for leveling course shall be the actual tons of asphaltic concrete leveling pavement installed as directed by the City. Leveling course shall be placed prior to the 1-inch overlay on designated roads. B. Payment shall be made at the contract unit price per ton which price shall be full compensation for asphaltic concrete, transportation, labor, equipment and all other incidents required to complete the item. Tonnage tickets shall be included with applicable payment applications. ITEM 146 PAVEMENT OVERLAY A. Measurement for payment for pavement overlay shall be the actual square yards of asphaltic concrete overlay pavement at a minimum 1 finished thickness including milling at the tie-in to existing pavement, canal crossings, and tie-ins to existing curbs and gutters. Pavement overlay will only be paid in the areas where the overlay is over existing pavement. Payment for pavement overlay will not include the additional non-sewer side roadway widening section. B. Payment for pavement overlay shall be made at the Bid Form unit price per square yard, which price will be full compensation for asphaltic concrete, pavement markings, restoration of traffic control loops disturbed by construction, transportation, labor, equipment, milling at tie-ins, canal crossings, curbs and gutters, and all other incidentals required to complete the item. ITEM 147 PAVEMENT PATCH A. Measurement for payment for pavement patch shall be the actual square yards of pavement removed and replaced to the required thickness. The pavement patch shall span the entire pavement width and shall be a minimum of 100 feet in length, or as directed by the City. B. Payment for pavement patch shall be made at the Bid Form unit price per square yard, which will be full compensation for the asphalt removal and disposal, grading, replacement of existing base/soil cement, asphalt, pavement markings, restoration of traffic control loops disturbed by construction, transportation, labor, equipment, and all incidentals required to complete the item. At specific locations where jack and bore is indicated on the Drawings for pipe installation, no payment will be made for pavement patching. The Contractor is required to directional drill potable water and irrigation services across the non-sewer side of 4-lane roads and other non-rebuilt roads, where practicable. 11 will be made for pavement patching of potable and irrigation water services and service laterals, regardless of the final installation method across 4-lane roads. ITEMS 148A AND 148B STRUCTURAL REPAIRS TO EXISTING PAVEMENT A. Measurement for payment for permanent structural repairs shall be made at the actual square yards (minimum 200 SY) of structural repairs to the required thickness for the type of roadway (local, or divided) as shown on the Drawings, or as directed by the City. B. Payment for structural repairs shall be made at the Bid Form unit price per square yard which will be full compensation for the asphalt removal and disposal, grading, replacement of existing base/soil cement, asphalt, pavement markings, restoration of traffic control loops disturbed by construction, transportation, labor, equipment, and all incidentals required to complete the item. ITEM 149 REMOVE AND REPLACE SIDEWALKS (UEP) A. Measurement for payment for the removal and replacement of sidewalks shall be based on the linear foot of centerline of sidewalk as shown on the Drawings. In instances where sidewalk is removed and replaced for the installation of services, the replacement shall be performed to match the existing sidewalk joints. Measurement for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance shall be at the ends of the sidewalk replaced. B. Payment shall be made at the Bid Form unit price per foot. Payment will be full compensation for removal and disposal of existing sidewalk including curb ramps, backfill, grading, sodding, grassing and all materials, transportation, labor, equipment, installation of ADA compliant detectable warning surfaces, preparation and submittal of as-built information, and all other incidentals required. ITEM 150 REMOVE AND REPLACE SIDEWALKS (PW) A. Measurement for payment for the removal and replacement of sidewalks shall be based on the linear foot of centerline of sidewalk as shown on the Drawings, or as directed by the Owner. In instances where sidewalk is removed and replaced for the installation of services, the replacement shall be performed to match the existing sidewalk joints. Measurement for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance shall be at the ends of the sidewalk replaced. B. Payment shall be made at the Bid Form unit price per foot. 12 ITEM 151 MEDIAN RESTORATION (DIVIDED ROADS) A. Measurement for payment for median restoration for divided road medians shall be per linear foot and shall include all materials and labor for clearing and grubbing, surface preparation, grading, sod and clean-up and all other incidentals required. B. Payment shall be made at the Bid Form unit price per linear foot. Payment will be full compensation for all materials and labor for clearing and grubbing, surface preparation, grading, sod and clean-up and all other incidentals required. ITEM 152 MEDIAN CURB AND GUTTER A. Measurement for payment for median curb and gutter for divided road medians shall be per linear foot and shall include all materials and labor for clearing and grubbing, excavation, surface preparation, fill, grading, concrete curb and gutter, transitions and clean-up and all other incidentals required. B. Payment shall be made at the Bid Form unit price per linear foot of concrete curb and gutter installed. Payment will be full compensation for all materials and labor for clearing and grubbing, excavation, surface preparation, fill, grading, concrete curb and gutter, transitions and clean-up and all other incidentals required. ITEM 153 MISCELLANEOUS CONCRETE (ABOVE OR BELOW GROUND NOT COVERED BY ANOTHER ITEM) A. Measurement for payment for miscellaneous concrete shall be by the cubic yard of miscellaneous concrete not otherwise included in any other pay item. Work includes all excavation, backfill, work and materials required. B. Payment shall be the bid price per cubic yard of miscellaneous concrete installed. ITEM 154 ADJUSTMENT OF EXISTING VALVE BOXES IN ROADWAY A. Measurement for payment for adjustment of existing valve boxes in roadway shall be the actual number. B. BID FORM PART B - POTABLE WATER SYSTEM ITEMS 200, 202, 203, 205, 209, 211 AND 218 POTABLE WATER MAIN A. Measurement for payment for various material types and sizes of potable water main pipe shall be the actual horizontal linear feet of pipe furnished, installed, tested, disinfected, and accepted in accordance with the Drawings and these specifications, as measured along the center line of the completed pipe, including the length of fittings and appurtenances as required. Measurement shall include lines installed either by open cut or bored and jacked per Contractor s option, excluding specifically defined jack and bore, horizontal directional drill and aerial canal crossings pay limit boundaries as shown on the Drawings. Measurement shall also include lines installed in casings and any temporary pavement needed to accomplish the work. B. Payment for various sizes of potable water main will be made at the Bid Form unit price per linear foot for the size and type installed where required on plans, which payment shall be full compensation for all excavation (including rock, and other inorganic and organic unsuitable material), disposal of excess material, bedding, backfill, compaction, furnishing and installing pipe and fittings, restrained joints where required, roll downs with fittings or deflection to avoid conflicts, connections to existing plugs or caps, all equipment, testing and disinfection, preparation and submittal of as-built information, and all other incidentals necessary to complete the installation as specified. Final payment for potable water mains will not be made before satisfactory completion of pipe testing and disinfection. C. Payment for each Combined Air/Vacuum Release Valve Assembly installation, whether offset or directly over the main, shall be made at the Bid Form unit price for the complete installation as shown on the Drawings and in accordance with these Specifications including the connection to the main, curb stop, corporation stop, main line tee, pipe, fittings, adapter, pedestal housing and pad, all excavation (including rock, and other inorganic and organic unsuitable material), bedding, backfill, and compaction, preparation and submittal of as-built information, and all other incidentals necessary to complete the installation as specified. ITEMS 268 AND 269 FIRE HYDRANT ASSEMBLY (SHORT AND LONG) A. Measurement for payment for fire hydrant assemblies shall be the size and actual number of units furnished and installed on potable water mains and accepted. B. Payment for fire hydrant assemblies shall be made at the Bid Form unit price per each item installed, which price shall be full compensation for all excavation (including rock, and other inorganic and organic unsuitable material), disposal of excess material, bedding material, backfill, compaction, for installing fire hydrants, mainline tees, 6-inch gate valve, 6-inch pipe, restrained joints, valve box and pad, all equipment, preparation and submittal of as-built information, and all other incidentals necessary to complete the installation as specified. The 6-inch gate valves are included with the fire hydrant as an assembly and are not included as a separate mainline gate valve pay item. ITEMS 271 AND 272 FIELD ADJUST EXISTING WATER MAINS A. Measurement for payment to divert, remove or replace existing potable water main obstructing construction of new utilities as part of the Work shall be the unit price per size for each required diversion. ITEM 292 AERIAL CROSSING AT EMBERS PKWY CROSSING NOVA CANAL (105 OF 24 POTABLE WATER PIPE) A. Measurement for payment for the aerial canal crossing shall be on a lump sum basis for the complete installation between the pay limits as shown on the Drawings. The aerial crossing includes the following piping: 105 of 24 potable water pipe; 105 of 20 irrigation main; and 105 of 16 force main. The aerial crossing also includes 105 of fiber optic cable conduits in 6 conduit. These pipes and conduit and casing shall be mounted on a multi-pipe and fiber optic conduit in casing aerial crossing as shown on the detail on the Plans. This Contract Item includes the potable water piping other associated Work for the potable water piping plus the multi-pipe and conduit casing aerial support structure. The other piping and conduit and Work attributable to those pipes and conduits shall be included in Contract Items 388, 659 and 802. Measurement for payment for each type and size of aerial canal crossing shall be on a lump sum basis for the complete installation between the pay limits as shown on the Drawings. B.
