Wellcraft well covers open easily from the inside, but also add a level of protection by helping prevent children and pets from accidentally falling in. Closed well covers safely support several hundred pounds, and also keep out leaves and other unsightly debris to sustain a beautiful look and clean environment. A clear polycarbonate cover is available for each model which allows sunlight in while keeping debris and bad weather out. They are also UV inhibited for long life protection. Following are some of the highlights of the IRC 2006 Code (Section R310) as it pertains to windows below ground level.
