Project highlights include the following: SUSTAINABLE SITES Reduced emissions from conventional commuting trips by 71%. This reduction was attributed to the use of fuel efficient vehicles, public transportation, walking/biking, as well as telecommuting by building occupants. WATER EFFICIENCY Reduced indoor plumbing water use by 44% compared to standard fixtures. Existing high efficiency fixtures will reduce water usage by approximately 149,400 gallons per year. ENERGY AND ATMOSPHERE Implemented low-cost Energy Conservation Measures. ECMs identified in the ASHRAE Level II Audit were completed during the performance period included the following: Converted all lighting to LED including common areas, tenant spaces, exterior, and the parking garage Implemented Saturday HVAC by request only MATERIAL AND RESOURCES INDOOR ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY 18 of 26 5 of of 35 These ECMs are estimated to save 438,109 kwh of electricity annually. Purchased 100% off-site renewable energy. Renewable energy certificates were purchased to offset the emissions for 100% of the building s energy usage for two years. Together, the ECMs and offsets will result in an annual reduction of 2,048 Metric Tons CO 2. That is equivalent to the emissions produced from the electricity use of 307 homes for a year. 4 of 10 Diverted 100% of durable goods waste. An electronics recycling event was held at the building for all building occupants resulting in a total of 558 pounds of office and home e-waste diverted from the landfill. Reduced mercury content in lamps. The property implemented a lamp purchasing plan which reduced the overall mercury content of the building to less than 2 picograms per lumen-hour, well below the threshold for exemplary performance. 10 of 15 Purchased 63% sustainable cleaning products during the performance period. Sustainable purchases included Green Seal -certified cleaning chemicals, as well as paper products with recycled content. Using high grade air conditioning filters.
