2 In cooperation with our citizens, we improve the quality of life for individuals, families and communities by fostering a healthy economy and environment. Looking forward with purpose. COMMISSIONER BRIEFING November 7, 2017 PJC Re-Roof Proposal Request #4 Tom Johnson, Administration Issue: A design change allows eliminating the addition of 2 roof drains and leaving the current one in place. Discussion: Near the Communications Room the roof expanse does not allow for the same insulation slope with the new design. The original plan was to remove the central roof drain and add 2 to get the full insulation with a tapered slope. The one drain would be required to be over the Communications Room which is a location we do not want to add another penetration. Appropriate slopes can be accommodated by slightly reducing the insulation thickness. The PR #4 will result in a reduction of costs of $7, Inspec and SWMHP have reviewed and agree this is appropriate. Options: Approve PR #4 and accept the credit as proposed. Request additional information Deny proposal Recommendation: Staff recommends approving PR #4 with a credit of $7,
