1 MUNICIPALITY OF CR0 WSNEST PASS BYLAW NO 843, 2012 A Bylaw of fees the for safety codes ser ices in the Province of Alberta to establish WHEREAS the Municipality Pass as an accredited municipality in the administration the Saft tv Codes Act, hich requires that all contractors and homeowners in Alberta obtain permits prior to commencing work on buildings covered by the Alberta Building Code, the Canadian Electrical Code, the Alberta Gas Code, or the Alberta Plumbing Code of of Crosnest AND the Municipality of Cro sliest Pass under the authority of the Safert Codes Act, s66 (2) may make hylas respecting fees for anything issued or any material or service provided pursuant to the Safety Codes Act, and respecting the carrying out of its powers and duties as an accredited municipality, and WHEREAS AND WHEREAS it is expedient to set out a fee schedule for each discipline Building, Electrical Plumbing or Gas permit, which may from time to time be amended by Council NOW THEREFORE the Council follows: of the Municipality of Crowsnest Pass, duly assembled hereby enacts as 1 TITLE 1 1 This Bylaw may he cited as the Safely Codes Services Fee Bylaw 2 DEFINITIONS 21 In this bylaw, (a) ACT means the Municipal Government Act RSA 2000, Chapter M-26 as amended: (h) CONTRACTOR means the person or finn contracted to administer the safety codes services: (c) COUNCIL means the Council of the Municipality of Crowsnest Pass: (d) MUNICIPALITY means the Municipality of Crowsiiest Pass: (e) QMP means the Unifonn Quality Management Plan established under the Safety Codes Act: 3 FEES (1) RENOVATION means the process improving an existing structure without increasing the square footage of the structure s foot print of 31 The Applicant shall pay to the Municipality the applicable Fees associated with the various construction disciplines including building, electrical plumbing and gas as stated in Schedule hich is attached to and forms part of this bylaw A 4 EFFECTIVE DATE 41 That Bylaw 843, 2012 will come into full force and effect upon the final passing thereof 42 That Bylaw #755, 2008 be amended to include Bylaw 843, 2012 Schedule A, B C and D Page 1 of 9 Municip SafetyCc z
