1 ADDENDUM NO. 2 to Bid Documents for Project No , Community Center Generator Enclosure To: All Interested Parties Date: March 24, 2016 This Addendum No. 2 forms a part of the Contract Documents and modifies the original bid. Item No. 1 Question: What is the project address? Answer: 789 North San Gorgonio Avenue, Banning CA Item No. 2 Question: Are there any access issues? Answer: No Item No. 3 Question: Section I, Page I-9 refers to liquidated damages as $ per day and Section III, Page III-4 reads $ Please clarify. Answer: Liquidated damages are $ per day. Item No. 4 Question: Who is responsible for the first fill of the generator fuel tank? Answer: Contractor is not responsible for the first fill of the tank. Item No. 5 Question: Is Johnson Power performing the start-up testing of the generator? Answer: No, the contractor is responsible for commissioning the generator (make all necessary connections and start/turn on the generator). Contractor is not required to fix any issues with the generator.

2 Item No. 6 Question: There is no mention of a new Automatic Transfer Switch. Is there an existing switch and if so, is it properly sized for the new generator? Answer: Yes. Item No. 7 Question: Are the required wires for the alarm and battery charging present? Is the main power feed wires properly sized? Answer: Yes, the required wires are present and the power feed wires are properly sized. Item No. 8 Question: Are the existing wires large enough and long enough to attach the breaker of the new generator? Is the existing wiring adequate for the new generator? Answer: The existing wires are adequate; long and large enough to attach the breaker and accommodate the new generator. Item No. 9 Question: In order to demolish the old enclosure the contractor will have to pull wires and conduits. If required, can the contractor install an in ground pull box and splice new wires from that point to the generator? Item No. 10 Question: Is the contractor required to remove and replace the old wire? If so, what size new wire and number of wires are required? Can this size and number of wires be pulled through the existing conduit? Answer: No, the contractor is not required to replace the old wire. Item No. 11 Question: Can the old wire be removed and reused? Answer: Yes. Item No. 12 Question: Will modification to the existing power source be necessary? Item No. 13 Question: Will the new generator be grounded and if so, where and how? Answer: Yes, there is an existing grounding rod.

3 Item No. 14 Question: Can the City provide a wiring diagram design for the new generator? Answer: Yes, the City will contact the supplier to provide wiring diagram. Item No. 15 Question: Addendum #1 requires the contractor to commission the generator? Who is responsible for the startup-up, training, operation and maintenance of the generator? Does the generator supplier need to be informed of wiring requirements and is it the responsibility of the supplier? Answer: Contractor is not required to provide training, operation and maintenance of the generator. The Contractor is required to make all necessary connections and start the generator. Item No. 16 Question: Are permits required through the City and if so, what are the costs? Answer: Yes, a no cost permit will be required. Item No. 17 Question: Are As-Builts of the existing enclosure available? Item No. 18 Question: On the site plan there is drainage shown with an arrow pointing showing new concrete. Is that scope of work to be included in the bid? Answer: Yes. Item No. 19 Question: What is the size of the existing conduit and wire that runs to the existing generator? Answer: Existing conduit is 4 and the existing wires may be reused. Item No. 20 Question: What is the weight of the existing generator? Answer: Approximately 4,000 lbs. Item No. 21 Question: Will the City remove the fuel from the existing generator tank?

4 Item No. 22 Question: Does the City have a flatbed to move the old generator to the yard? Answer: The contractor is required to provide all necessary equipment to move the existing caterpillar, fuel tank, etc., to the City Yard. Item No. 23 Question: Will the City have equipment to offload the old generator or is the contractor required to move it with a crane or forklift? Answer: The contractor is required to provide all necessary equipment. Item No. 24 Question: Would the City consider increasing the number of working days to 45 days? Answer: The City will consider additional time for fabrication of metal work if needed. Item No. 25 Question: Are regular and special inspections to be performed by the City? Answer: Yes, all inspections will be performed by the City. Item No. 26 Question: Can the parking lot next to the generator be partially closed off to allow construction access only to the site? Answer: Yes, a portion of the adjacent parking lot may be closed off during construction but not the entire parking lot. Item No. 27 Question: Can the City provide a construction storage area near the site? Answer: The City may or may not provide a temporary storage area near the site. Item No. 28 Question: The fabricator has indicated that the screen can only be tacked to angle and tubing every 6 or it will burn up so it does not allow for continued welding on the screen. In regard to the flat panels, the fabricator has indicated that because of the number of panels, the welds on the angle and tubing will cause drawing and some warping resulting in difficulty in fitting and some gaps between panels. Is this acceptable? Answer: Fabrication/material shall comply with approved plans and specifications. Item No. 29 Question: Is it acceptable to pour concrete on existing, undisturbed soil with no over-ex? Answer: Construction and concrete pad shall be per plans and specifications.

5 Item No. 30 Question: Can the concrete stem wall be eliminated from the requirements and replaced with blocks. Answer: No, all material is to be constructed per approved plans and specifications. Item No. 31 Bid Schedule is revised. Bids shall be submitted on the attached Bid Schedule (revised).
