Radionics was absorbed by Bosch. May we use Bosch? Answer: The specified Radionics access control system equal has been merged with Bosch. The Bosch system is an acceptable manufacturer substitution. Question: North wall section A1/A302. Currently, the there is no difference between the top of the existing floor and the sidewalk. Your section shows about 9 difference in height. This area of the existing wall sets back from the main exterior face of the building (see attached photo). The new work brings the wall to the main exterior face of the building. In order to install the new wall, in the base bid, how much of the existing sidewalk do you want us to remove and replace. Keep in mind the existing walk seems to slope down away from the existing door threshold. Please clarify. Answer: As part of the base bid, the contractors will be required to remove and replace 30SF of existing sidewalk to accommodate new foundations for the new infill wall on the north façade (between piers C1 and G1). The concrete shall be 6 thick and dowelled into the sidewalk with No. 4 rods (Qty. 14) equally spaced along the infill slab. Question: Dwg S100, How much of the existing sidewalk do you want us to remove (in the Base Bid) for the work on the existing foundations along the north side of the building? Answer: As part of the base bid, the Contractors will be required to remove and replace 60 SF of existing sidewalk to accommodate new foundations along the north façade. The concrete shall be 6 thick and dowelled into the existing sidewalk that will remain. The 60 SF is divided among four piers with an area of 15 SF per pier. The dowels shall be No. 4 rods 12 long and be located in 5 places per pier (Qty. 20). Note: this is in addition to Item 3.5. Question: This bid bond form has a line item for the REQ PO#. Please let me know if that is required or if it can be left blank Answer: The REQ PO# blank at the top of the Bid Bond shall be entered by the Owner, not the Contractor. Question: The specification calls for 060 mil TPO as the roof membrane. The drawings state 045 mil elastomeric. Please clarify the roof membrane type and thickness. Answer: To clarify, the TPO roofing membrane shall be 060 mil TPO. This is incorrectly noted as 045 mil on Note 9 on Sheet A102; Note 37 on Sheets A300, 301, A302, A303, and Note 15 on Sheet A304. Question: There is a Specification Section Ornamental Metal Fences and Gates. Do not see on the drawings anywhere? Answer: Delete Specification Section Ornamental Fences and Gates as there is not fencing in the project scope at completion. Please note construction fencing is still required during the construction phase. ITEM 3.10 Question: Can the CT cabinet be moved directly below where MDP Panel is located on the second floor where the dumpster is located? If not, can MPD be relocated where panel MP1 Sect 1 & 2 are located? Relocate CT cabinet to back side of building directly below relocated MDP panel? Where CT cabinet is located now, how do you plan to fee up to MDP panel? If you feed straight up, it is too far to run inside unfused. If you fee out of the side of the CT cabinet you will run into a downspout. Answer: The dumpster cannot be moved. To avoid a conflict with the dumpster, the MDP can be located in the upper level Utility Room 212 and the CT cabinet can be located on the southwest façade in an area below the MDP.
