2 NovaDeck NovaDeck is an innovative composite decking alternative to traditional WPC or foamed PVC decking planks. Treated wood fibers and polymers are used to produce foamed treated fiber composite decking planks. This patented product is definitely the best outdoor decking choice, perfect for spaces where extreme weather changes occur, like terraces, porches, pools and sea fronts. Available in various designs and colors that resemble wood s warmth and natural tones. Its physical properties guarantee its high performance and eliminates the need of a costly installation and further periodic maintenance. NovaDeck is not a composite deck like many others in the market. It reuses wood fibers after these are treated to make them resistant to atmospherical and biological agents. 4 Easy Installation It only requires basic carpentry tools. Boards must be installed over an existing joist structure. Never directly over the surface. A 400 mm (16 ) space between joists is recommended for residential use. For commercial use a 300 mm (12 ) maximum space between joists. When installing in a diagonal design, space between joists should not exceed 300 mm (12 ). Assembly systems It is recommended to use high-quality fasteners. Stainless steel minimum screw size #7 with a minimum length of For salt weather coastal applications, it is suggested to use 316 stainless steel products. Hidden fasteners are most recommended. It might cause discoloration. The use of certain products with chemical content such as sun block or bug repellent might alter NovaDeck s surface. Please follow the installation and care and maintenance manual strictly Low-cost maintenance It is easy to deal with superficial scratches. Just use a heating pistol. The hot air must be parallel to the surface and 4 inches from the scratch, never putting heat directly since the board might lose its natural gloss and blister. Heat source should be immediately turned off when the scratch is erased.
