Choose one of the following options to continue: If you purchased but have not assembled the Series 500 end frame and door frames, stop here, return to and continue with those instruction guides. If you did not purchase a Series 500 end frame but plan to construct an end frame using customersupplied materials, review these instructions before constructing the end frame to better prepare for the installation of the panels included in this package. After assembling the end frame, continue with these instructions to attach the corrugated panels. ATTENTION: If you purchased an optional door kit, consult that guide and proceed as instructed. In most instances, the end frame and door frame are constructed before end panels are installed. It is the responsibility of the owner/contractor to adjust the position of the end panels based on the end frame and the position of the installed door or doors. Consult the services of a qualified contractor to install the panels if needed. Thank you for purchasing this GrowSpan Series 500 Corrugated Polycarbonate Package. When properly assembled and maintained, this product will provide years of reliable service. These instructions include helpful hints and important information needed to safely assemble and properly maintain the panels. Please read these instructions before you begin. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS Wear eye protection. Wear head protection. Use a portable GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) when working with power tools and cords. Do not climb on shelter or framing during or after construction. Do not occupy shelter during high winds, tornadoes, or hurricanes. Provide adequate ventilation if structure is enclosed. Do not store hazardous materials in shelter. Provide proper ingress and egress to prevent entrapment. WARNING: The individuals assembling this end wall cladding package are responsible for designing and furnishing all temporary bracing, shoring and support needed during the assembly process. For safety reasons, those who are not familiar with recognized construction methods and techniques must seek the help of a qualified contractor. NOTE: Many GrowSpan shelters and greenhouses can be designed to meet the snow and wind load requirements in your area. Contact your account manager for additional information if needed. ATTACH PANELS When setting the panels in position, remember to install each panel with the UV-protected surface facing toward the outside. Read the information if printed on panel. 2

3 Important Information REQUIRED TOOLS The following list identifies the main tools needed to assemble end panel package. Additional tools and supports may be needed depending on structure, location, and application. Tape measure or measuring device Fine point marker to mark the location on panels. Variable speed drill/driver with clutch (cordless with extra batteries works best) Rivet gun for 5/32" blind rivets Hammers, gloves, and eye protection Ladders, work platforms, and other machinery for lifting designed to work safely at the height of the building and end wall. ATTENTION: Consult the services of a qualified, professional contractor if you are not familiar with the construction of similar frame structures. CARE AND MAINTENANCE Proper care and maintenance is important. Check the following items periodically to properly maintain end panel package: Regularly check polycarbonate panels to see these are secure and in good condition. Replace damaged panels if needed. Check connections and all fasteners to verify they remain tight. Do not climb or stand on shelter at anytime. Remove debris and objects that can accumulate on shelter. Use tools that will not damage panels when removing debris. Do not allow snow to pile up against end wall and panels. Use tools that will not damage polycarbonate panels when removing snow. Check contents of shelter to verify nothing is touching polycarbonate panels that could cause damage. If shelter is disassembled and moved, inspect all parts and connections before reassembled. Depending on contents, construction of shelter, shelter materials, and shelter location, the potential for condensation exists. GrowSpan offers several items that can be used to alleviate a condensation condition. Please contact a GrowSpan representative for additional information. ASSEMBLY NOTE: Install Tek screws using a clutched drill driver running approximately 750 RPM while applying approximately 50 lbs of force. Do not use an impact driver to install Tek screws! 3
