4 2. Framework The Modular Workstation- Tile system is basically a 70mm thick partitioning system that is appropriate for partitioning office interiors. It consist of MS CRCA metallic frame with powder coating of suitable thickness on which tiles made of fabric laminated or metal can be mounted. The frame is made out of MS CRCA duly powder coated in a charcoal black colour to a thickness of microns. The horizontals and verticals of frames are welded together at different heights so as to facilitate the wire management system running with frame. The frame has various slots at different heights for fixing of tabletop brackets, tiles and shelves. These frames are joined together by means of allen screws and nuts. They can be attached to form a 2-way, 3-way or a 4-way configuration. Add on frames in two heights of 300mm and 400mm are made in the same specifications as above for adding on to the standard frames at any later date. The frames are fixed with aluminium trims. These trims are finished in an epoxy powder coating finish. The connectors at the top of the frames are made out of ABS plastic of a matching colour to the trims or also could be chrome plated. 3. Data management, Raceways and Sliding Tiles It is strong and has an effective data and power management system in terms of wiring the system. The system also supports a wide possibility of accessories, which could be placed at any level to ensure comfort and hence increase the productivity of user. The system offers an effective data management system. The data and the power cables can run at different levels to ensure extra safety. The wire management slots are large enough to manage the requirement and allow vertical movement of the wires in addition to the two levels of horizontal cabling. This tile made of MS CRCA 1.2 mm thick powder coated can be either above the table top or even below the tabletop. The skirting tile which is also snap on or inserted to the frame at the lowest level of the frame makes electrical maintenance easy. All standard electrical faceplates can be mounted on the raceways at tabletop and skirting levels. The raceway and skirting hinged tiles are made out of 1.2 mm thick CRCA sheet and powder coated to the colour of the frame.ss these tiles are fixed to the frame by means of special design. 4

5 4. Technical specifications of all tiles 4.1 Fabric Tile: Constructed out of 12mm thick Medium Density Fibre Board (MDF) and covered with Fabric of choice. 4.2 Laminate Tile: Constructed out of 12mm thick pre-laminated particle board edge banded by 0.4mm PVC edge banding 4.3 Glass Tile: 4mm Float glass fixed within an aluminium powder coated frame. Two such tiles on either side of the frame complete the assembly 4.4 Magnetic Tile: Constructed out of 1.2mm Galvanized sheet and covered with fabric of choice. 4.5 White board marker tile are made out of 10mm MDF with 1 mm glossy highly wear resistant face laminate with a balancing laminated on the back. 4.6 Raceway and skirting tile: Constructed out of 1.2 mm CRCA sheet and finished in epoxy powder coating. 5 Up-Gradation The design of the system is such that at any moment of time, the system is capable to upgradation to compliment the increased workload and business growth with minimum effort and expense. The height of the partitions can be increased at any later date by means of stackable add-on frames to fit all standard frames. The corners and frames are designed to accept any requirement of extension during the course of time. 6 Accessories The system allows accessories like: 1. Marker Board 2. Magnetic Board 3. Overhead Cabinet 4. Shelves 5. Paper Trays 6. Pencil holders 7. File Holders 8. Phone shelves etc. 5

6 These accessories are to be fixed on the frames at the top frames to ensure the comfort while working. This will lead to increase in productivity of the user. The accessories can also be places horizontally at any position as and when required. Acoustic properties can be enhanced in the system by addition of 50 mm thick expanded polystyrene or Glass wool within the frame work. This tile system can easily integrated with our other desking system to provide the end user the flexibility of combining privacy screens or single skin panels with the partition system. 7 Work Surface The work Tops and gable ends is made of 25mm thick plain particle board. The surface can be post formed by 0.8 mm thick laminate to provide rounded edges. The bottom surface will also be laminated with balancing laminate. The work tops will support by MS brackets which will be powder coated to microns. The tables will be lipped with PVC beading of 0.8 mm to 2.0 mm thickness. The table tops will be provided with plastic wire manager for cabling. 8 Drawer Units and Storages Drawer units and storages are offered in different colours which are made out or pre-laminated boards manufactured by reputed firms. Drawer units are offered in 2 Drawer + 1 Filling configuration. The outer structure is made out of 18 mm prelaminated board (PLB) and the drawer sides are 18 mm PLB and the bottom is made from 9 mm PLB. The units are assembled by MINIFIX, dowels and Chipboard screws. The drawer boxes are mounted on rollers slides to move freely. The drawer units are provided with suitable locks. The storage are offered in different sizes both with sliding and hinged shutters. 6

7 Schedule-III GENERAL CONDITION 1. The tender shall be submitted in the document purchased from the office or downloaded from the website. 2. Last date of submission of tender is at 3.00pm and tender will be opened on the same day 3.30 pm. 3. No tender will be accepted after the stipulated time and date. 4. The cost of tender document is Rs.1000 plus Tax. Those who wishes to download tender document has to remit the cost of tender document along with the tender. 5. The cover containing the tender should be superscribed with words Tender for supply and installation of Office Work Station. 6. The Tender should be submitted along with E.M.D of Rs.12,500/-. E.M.D can be remitted in the form DD drawn in favour of Managing Director, Oushadhi payable at Thrissur or by cash. The EMD of unsuccessful tenderer will be released within 30 days from the date of opening of tender. 7. The successful tenderer should sign a contract with Oushadhi in the prescribed format on a Non-Judicial stamp paper worth Rs.200/- within 7 days on receipt of the work order. 8. An amount equal to 5% of the quoted amount of work should be remitted by the successful tenderer towards security deposit which will be released only after 12 months from the date of completion of work. E.M.D remitted along with the tender can be adjusted against the Security Deposit. If the successful tenderer fails to remit the Security Deposit and execute an agreement in the prescribed format within 7 days from the date of receipt of our letter of acceptance, the tender will be rejected and the E.M.D remitted will be confiscated 9. The tenderer should have carried out a similar work not less than the value of Rs.5 lakhs in a single contract and he should submit proof of the same along with the tender. 10. The annual turnover of the tenderer for any one of the previous 3 years should be not less than Rs.20 lakhs and proof the same shall be submitted along with the tender. 11. The rate quoted should be inclusive of all taxes and it should be firm without any escalation till the order is completely executed. 7

8 12. The entire work should be completed within 30 days from the date of receipt of firm order. 13. The payment in full will be released after 20 days from the date of submission of final bill after successful completion of the work. 14. Time being the essence of the contract, the time of completion stipulated should be strictly adhered to. 15. If the tenderer fails to complete the work within the period stipulated in the order, Corporation may at their option either (1) recover from the tenderer liquidated damages at the rate of 1% of the contract value, for every week or part there of delay subjected to maximum of 10% of the total contract value. (2) Terminate the order wholly or partially and complete it themeselves or reassign it to other agency at the risk and cost of the tenderer. 16. The tenderer should rectify the defects noticed during the guarantee period without any additional charges. 17. The tenderer can visit the work site prior to the submission of the tender and thereafter no increase in the rate shall be entertained on any ground. 18. Any clarification regarding the tender can be had from the office during the working hours on all working days. 19. The tender shall be kept open for a period of one month from the date of opening for acceptance. 20. Managing Director reserves unqualified right to accept or reject any or all tenders or invite fresh tenders or recheck any of the above conditions without assigning any reason whatsoever. The decision of the Managing Director will be final and binding on all.. 8

9 CONTRACT FORM (ON NON-JUDITIAL STAMP PAPER OF Rs.200/-) THIS AGREEMENT made in..day of.20.between.(name of Owner) of.(address of Owner)(hereinafter called the owner ) of the one part and..(name of Contractor) of.(address of Contractor)(hereinafter called the Contractor ) of the other part: WHEREAS the Owner invited bids for the execution of work viz,.(brief description of work) and had accepted a bid by the Contractor for the work for a sum of Rs )Contract Price in word and figures)(hereinafter called the Contract Price ). NOW THIS AGREEMENT WITNESSETH AS FOLLOWS : 1. In this Agreement words and expressions shall have the same meaning as are respectively assigned to them in the Conditions of the Contract referred to. 2. The following documents shall be deemed to form and be read and constructed as part of this agreement, viz,. a. The tender Document and the Price Schedule submitted by the Contractor. b. The Owner s Letter of Acceptance. 3. In consideration of the payments to be made by the Owner to the contractor as hereinafter mentioned, the Contractor hereby convents with the Owner to complete the work and to remedy defects therein conformity in all respect with the provision of the Contract. 4. The Owner hereby convents to pay the Contractor in consideration of the execution of the works and the remedying of defects therein, the Contract Price or such other sum as may become payable under the provisions of the Contract at the time and in the manner prescribed by the Contract.
