Ranging from 100 square metres to 1000's of square metres, the aluminium-framed modular structure is designed to provide a fast, cost-effective relocatable, and robust alternative to traditional structures, ensuring that as seasonal opportunities present themselves or your business expands, so can your structure - both lengthways and widthways. The translucent membrane roof allows natural daylight to penetrate evenly to 100% of the surface within the building, saving on lighting costs, and creating a comfortable, light and airy environment for your operations. At the same time, the Alpha offers clear span space throughout with no intrusive support columns, giving you complete freedom to plan and adapt the internal layout to your requirements. As with all of the structures in our range, the Alpha system does not need traditional foundations, providing significant savings in both cost and time over traditional solutions, and ensuring its ease of relocation if required. The Beta System If a building with a 6.4 metre eave height is adequate for your needs, the Beta system could be the solution you are looking for. With clear span widths of up to 30m and unlimited lengths, the Beta offers a cost-effective, durable and rapid solution to the storage and manufacturing requirements of your business. Available as standard non-insulated buildings or in varying degrees of insulation depending on the needs of your product units are quick and easy to assemble and operational in a very short timeframe. As with all of the structures in our range, Beta buildings have a life expectancy of 25 years or more; are designed and installed in accordance with BS6399 for wind loads; and without the need for traditional foundations, are fully relocatable. The heavy duty membrane roofing system delivers near daylight conditions throughout the building, saving lighting costs and providing a comfortable, light and airy environment for your operations. Should you outgrow the available space within your structure, you can simply add more 5m portals to accommodate the increased requirement - lengthways or widthways making the Beta not only robust and practical, but expandable too! 7 resources you can re-use Waste Management Buildings The waste management and recycling industries are constantly evolving. When developing or enhancing a site, there are many issues which must be taken into consideration, some of which are unique to the industry. At Useful Structures, we see these issues as opportunities; opportunities to offer you resources which you can use, re-use and re-cycle as your business evolves. The Alpha System One of the challenges faced by waste management companies is the provision of a cost-effective, flexible building, which has a high enough eave height to house the processing facility. The patented Alpha system, not only meets but exceeds this challenge. It is the only fast, modular, relocatable building that can meet eave heights of 12m or more to facilitate lorry tipping. The translucent membrane roof allows natural light to penetrate the structure, reducing or negating the need for expensive electric lighting during daylight hours, and providing a comfortable, light and airy environment for your operations. As the Alpha system does not need traditional foundations, an existing area such as a concrete yard can be built over using simple concrete bases every 5 metres to anchor the building. This represents a significant cost saving over traditional solutions. It also ensures a rapid response to your needs; a typical waste management building of 20m x 35m x 8m high would take around three weeks to erect! Whilst perfectly suited to remain in one place indefinitely, the Alpha building envelope has the added bonus of being fully relocatable and expandable. It can even be split into two smaller units. The Beta System When height isn t an issue, but versatility and cost is, we have the Beta system. With portal widths from 10 to 30 metres, eave heights up to 6 metres and unlimited lengths, the Beta is a costeffective building which provides you with the flexibility and confidence to know you can easily adapt your structures to meet your future needs. Available with or without insulation, these large clear span buildings can be quickly and easily erected without the need for traditional foundations, often achieving major cost savings. Your existing yard, a simple concrete raft, or even just bases at the point of anchoring are all that s needed to secure your Beta structure. Despite this inexpensive method of anchoring, you can have complete confidence in the stability and longevity of your building as each of our structures is designed in accordance with the requirements of BS6399, and assembled in accordance with BRE approved calculations.
