Second Review 4/23/18: Response states that the generator will be installed under this permit. Please provide all specifications for the generator to be installed. Please indicate on the plans the location of the generator emergency stop with respect to the enclosure. For systems located outdoors, the manual shutdown should be located external to the weatherproof enclosure and should be appropriately identified. NFPA 110: * All installations shall have a remote manual stop station of a type to prevent inadvertent or unintentional operation located outside the room housing the prime mover, where so installed, or elsewhere on the premises where the prime mover is located outside the building. A For systems located outdoors, the manual shutdown should be located external to the weatherproof enclosure and should be appropriately identified. Florida License No. AAC The remote manual stop station shall be labeled. Please also provide further details about the generator installation and building proximity CENTREPARK BOULEVARD SUITE 500 WEST PALM BEACH, FL TEL FAX Generator clearance requirements to a building can vary depending on the characteristics of the structure. The 36" minimum clearance outlined in NFPA 110 may need to be exceeded in certain installations.

P a g e 2 Please see NFPA 37: Engines Located Outdoors. Engines, and their weatherproof housings, if provided, that are installed outdoors shall be located at least 1.5 m (5 ft) from openings in walls and at least 1.5 m (5 ft) from structures having combustible walls. A minimum separation shall not be required where either of the following conditions exist: (1) All walls of the structure that are closer than 1.5 m (5 ft) from the engine enclosure have a fire resistance rating of at least 1 hour. (2)* The weatherproof enclosure is constructed of noncombustible materials and it has been demonstrated that a fire within the enclosure will not ignite combustible materials outside the enclosure. Third Review 6/15/18: Concerning the location of the transfer switch, it must be in a two hour rated room. Please see NFPA 110: 7.2 Location Indoor EPS Installations. The EPS shall be installed in a separate room for Level 1 installations The EPS room shall be separated from the rest of the building by construction with a 2-hour fire resistance rating EPSS equipment shall be permitted to be installed in the EPS room No other equipment, including architectural appurtenances, except those that serve this space, shall be permitted in the EPS room. LAD Response: See revised sheets LS-110, LS-120, A-110, A-110C, A-110E, A-111, A-120, A-120C, A-120E for revised wall rating and A-601 for revised door 1118A rating. Correction Comment 2: Provide a total occupant load for each level. In new buildings, floors or portions thereof with an occupant load of more than 500 persons shall have the minimum number of separate and remote means of egress specified by FFPC, 5th Edition, 101: If the occupant load is greater than 1,000, not less than 4 exits shall be provided. Second Review 4/23/18:

P a g e 3 Please update your life safety plans to call out the required exits on each level per FFPC, 5th Edition, 101: These shall be remote. FFPC, 5th Edition, 101: Remoteness shall be provided in accordance with through Where more than one exit, exit access, or exit discharge is required from a building or portion thereof, such exits, exit accesses, or exit discharges shall be remotely located from each other and be arranged to minimize the possibility that more than one has the potential to be blocked by any one fire or other emergency condition * Where two exits, exit accesses, or exit discharges are required, they shall be located at a distance from one another not less than one-half the length of the maximum overall diagonal dimension of the building or area to be served, measured in a straight line between the nearest edge of the exits, exit accesses, or exit discharges, unless otherwise provided in through In buildings protected throughout by an approved, supervised automatic sprinkler system in accordance with Section 9.7, the minimum separation distance between two exits, exit accesses, or exit discharges, measured in accordance with , shall be not less than one-third the length of the maximum overall diagonal dimension of the building or area to be served * In other than high-rise buildings, where exit enclosures are provided as the required exits specified in or and are interconnected by not less than a 1-hour fire resistancerated corridor, exit separation shall be measured along the shortest line of travel within the corridor In existing buildings, where more than one exit, exit access, or exit discharge is required, such exits, exit accesses, or exit discharges shall be exempt from the diagonal measurement separation distance criteria of and , provided that such exits, exit accesses, or exit discharges are remotely located in accordance with In other than existing buildings, where more than two exits, exit accesses, or exit discharges are required, at least two of the required exits, exit accesses, or exit discharges shall be arranged to comply with the minimum separation distance requirement The balance of the exits, exit accesses, or exit discharges specified in shall be located so that, if one becomes blocked, the others are available. Third Review 6/15/18: Concerning the maximum travel distance cited on office level 1's life safety plan, please correct to 250 ft; as this space also serves as assembly. FFPC 101: Travel Distance to Exits. Travel distance shall not exceed 250 ft (76 m) in assembly occupancies protected throughout by an approved, supervised automatic sprinkler system in accordance with Section 9.7.

P a g e 4 Note, the actual travel distance meets code. This is just a needed typographical correction. LAD Response: See revised sheet LS-110 for corrected travel distance. Correction Comment 5: This review shall be considered incomplete pending receipt of requested and required information. Subsequent review(s) may reveal additional deficiencies. NOTE: In an effort to expedite the review process, please itemize your responses to correspond with each one of the numbered requests. In your response letter, indicate the correction made and on what page it can be found or acknowledge compliance with the request or indicate reason for not complying with the request. All corrections must be clouded on the corrected plan sheets. Submit all corrections in one package. Non-compliance with this request may result in a rejection of your revised submittal. LAD Response: Comment noted. Second Review 4/23/18: Still applies Third Review 6/15/18: Still applies Correction Comment 8: Third Review 6/15/18: This review will remain outstanding pending the 61GS review approval. Please satisfy the comments of the Fire Sprinkler 61GS review. LAD Response: See sheets FP-000 and FP-130 for clarifications/revisions. Correction Comment 9: Third Review 6/15/18: FFPC 101: Protection from Hazards * General. Hazardous areas including, but not limited to, areas used for general storage, boiler or furnace rooms, and maintenance shops that include woodworking and painting areas shall be protected in accordance with Section 8.7. Such rooms, including general storage and mechanical, will need to be protected by smoke partitions in accordance with FFPC 101: 8.4 if sprinklers are present in those rooms. If sprinklers are not present in those rooms the requirements in 8.7 apply. **However, any storage room storing routine office supplies will not require this protection. Clarify the storage area on the second floor. Clarify how the other rooms meet requirements.

P a g e 5 A It is not the intent of this provision that rooms inside individual tenant spaces that are used to store routine office supplies for that tenant be required to be either separated or sprinklered. Please also see comment 1 in reference to the 2hr room rating for the EPS transfer switch. LAD Response: See sheets FP-000 and FP-130 for clarifications/revisions. Failure to provide this, may result in another rejection. LAD Response: Comment noted. SECOND REVIEW 4/9/18 Still applicable THIRD REVIEW - 6/6/18 Still applicable. Correction Comment 10: THIRD REVIEW - 6/6/18 - There is conflicting information provided on the storage areas. The Building Design Criteria on page FP-000 states the storage areas will be at OH II but the information on the individual rooms provided on the other pages identifies them as OH I. Please unify this information, LAD Response: See sheets FP-000 and FP-130 for clarifications/revisions. Correction Comment 11: THIRD REVIEW - 6/6/18 - Under the information regarding MIC, is referenced, but does not apply to issues with MIC LAD Response: See Sheet FP-000 for clarification/revision.

P a g e 7 Correction Comment 12: THIRD REVIEW - 6/6/18 - There are still references to FM Global, it was stated last time that it was removed, but there are several references to it. Please provide the FM Global criteria. LAD Response: Per the received from Collier County on Thursday, June 28, 2108 from Jackie Delaosa please see the response for the above comment. The engineer states that FM Global requirements are to be met. Typically we review this information as it is part of the engineering review. Without having the FM Global information, we cannot review the sprinkler plans accordingly as we typically make sure that the FM Global requirements have been done on their sprinkler shop drawings. It was also noted that there did not appear to be anything beyond the normal on the engineering plan with the exception of the design requirements for OH I areas (.2 density rather than.15). After looking at the engineering plans again, I believe I can withdraw this comment based on the fact that the Engineer of Record has stated that FM Global and the Engineer of Record are required to review the shop drawings. When the shop drawing come in, they shall show that FM Global and the Engineer of Record have approved the plans as submitted (typically by a stamp and/or signatures on the plans). This will need to be done each time the plans are brought in (corrections or revisions). This decision is based on the requirements of the engineer of Record and 61G (4) which states: (4) In the event the Engineer of Record provides more information and direction than is established above, he or she shall be held responsible for the technical accuracy of the work in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and sound engineering principles.
