LIFESTYLE GROUP KPS GROUP, INC First Avenue North Birmingham, Alabama All Bidders GENERAL: This Addendum forms a part of the Contract Documents and modifies the original Construction Documents dated April 22, 2015, and Addendum #1, dated April 28, 2015 as noted below. The following Conditions, Drawings, Specification changes, etc. take precedence over items in the Drawings and Specifications of the Contract Documents. Portions of the Contract Documents not changed by this Addendum remain in effect. Bidders are advised to call attention to all sub-bidders and suppliers for any changes, which may affect their work. Acknowledge receipt of this Addendum in the space provided on the Bid Form. Failure to do so may subject Bidder to disqualification. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION / CLARIFICATIONS: 1. Question: Please confirm the door hardware specification is a Time Inc / Samford building requirement. A Door supplier is stating it is written to close him out from pricing but has provided hardware in the building for Southern Progress before. Answer: This should not be considered a sole source specification. The hardware specification indicated intent; the desired function for each opening and products of good quality as a basis of design. Contractor shall match existing as closely as possible and can provide comparable alternatives of same quality. Refer to General Note at start of Part 3.3 of Specification Section Door hardware. 2. Question: Please provide a rebar design for the housekeeping pad for the outside associated CRAC units to support the designed weight. Answer: Reference Detail 5 on drawing M5.01 showing rebar requirements. If you feel the need, please share this detail with the structural engineer. ACC-1 and ACC-2 weigh approximately 600 pounds each, over four legs. 3. Question: Please provide location and design of the building penetration for the HVAC piping servicing the outside units. Answer: Core drill and seal in accordance with specification section , paragraph 3.6, A, 1 and , paragraph 3.6, B, 5. The actual location shall be determined by the submitted shop drawing. 2 4. Question: Please provide location and design of the building penetration for the gas piping servicing the Building. Answer: Core drill and seal in accordance with specification section , paragraph 3.7, A,1 and , paragraph 3.7, B, 5. The actual location shall be determined by the submitted shop drawing. 5. Please provide a detail of Nana wall bottom track detail and how it is anchored into floor concrete Answer: See detail information on attached updated sheet A Question: In regards to the overhead steel support for the Nanawall system. Please provide structural members sizes and rod sizes and how it attaches to the roof concrete slab. Answer: See detail information on attached updated sheet A Question: Please provide additional details / section cuts / elevations of all the scope for the the landscape / hardscape shown on A508 Answer: This design has not yet been finalized and will not be part of this bid package. 8. Question: Please provide a elevations, or size of tackable walls panels, in work area 176. Answer: There will be 26 6 lineal feet of the wall panels. The wall panels will be 5-6 high. 9. Question: Please provide spec and detail on the vapor barrier seal spray for ceiling, walls, floors, noted on detail 8/M5.0 Answer: For the Concrete Floors: Apply specified floor sealer as specified in Painting section. For the Gyp. Bd. Walls: Use conventional paint or epoxy as specified in Painting section. For all Penetrations: Seal around all penetrations with sealants specified in Joint Sealants section. 10. Question: There is existing batt insulation around the perimeter and below the sill that actually notes it s flammable to remain or is to be removed? Answer: The existing batt insulation around perimeter and below the sill will remain in place. 11. Question: What are the final hardware selections for the Millwork? Refer to Article 2.6 Plumbing Fixtures and Equipment, Paragraph K revise Water Softener as follows: Water Softener: Provide and Install a Culligan Gold Series 9 duplex water softener capable of providing 9 gallons per minute of softened water. System shall be provided complete with two (2) 9 inch diameter softening tank, 16 inch diameter, 250 pound capacity brine tanks, automatic controller. e. Refer to Article 2.7 Water Softener, revise Paragraph A as follows: A. The water softener shall be duplex unit Culligan Gold Series 9 capable of softening to 2 MG/L with a flow rate of 9 gallons per minute with a maximum pressure loss of 14 PSI system. 3. SECTION GENERAL HVAC REQUIREMENTS a. Refer to Article 1.13 Submittals for Project Closeout Paragraph C, revise Item 13 as follows: 13. Submit factory start-up/field reports for: a.
