5 Polypropylene (PP) pipes and pipe fittings for soil, waste and vent applications for above-ground use 1 Scope This standard covers polypropylene (PP) pipes (including vent pipes) and pipe fittings of nominal sizes 40 mm to 160 mm intended for above-ground non-pressure applications for the conveyance of soil (human excrement or faeces) and waste water where continuous temperatures in excess of 60 C are not encountered. This standard also covers fittings manufactured by the injection-moulding process. 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document.
