8 PiPes for life PiPe systems Qual-PeX Barrier PiPe Qual-PEX Barrier Pipe is available in a variety of coil lengths and straight lengths. It is manufactured in 10mm, 15mm, 22mm & 28mm. Pipelife have been in the business of producing quality goods for the Plumbing, Construction and Agricultural sector for over 45 years, specialising in the extrusion of polyethylene pipe for these applications. Our product range has evolved over time and continues to change to provide our loyal customers with the most advanced products relative to their sector. Qual-PEX cross-linked poly-ethylene barrier pipe from Pipelife is truly a first in this generation of thermoplastic pipes being the first PEX pipe ever to have been approved to the BS 7291 kitemark and WRAS approvals. Pipelife Qual-PEX barrier pipe is produced in 10mm, 15mm, 22mm & 28mm sizes. Qual-PEX - the flexible white coloured crosslinked polyethylene plumbing pipe. Qual-PEX has been developed, tested and approved for hot and cold water services, and central and underfloor heating systems. Qual-PEX is designed to suit our Twistloc Demountable Push-Fit Fittings and Brass Compression Fittings and Manifolds. Qual-PEX includes an EVOH Barrier Layer. Barrier complies with DIN Qual-PEX is rigid enough to minimise sag with pipe runs looking neat, tidy and professional. Qual-PEX is flexible enough to be cabled through awkwardly placed holes under flooring and threaded behind partition walls and through ducts. Qual-PEX enables the installer to undertake faster, easier and more cost-effective installation. Independent tests show installation time savings of up to 40% compared with traditional plumbing materials. Qual-PEX barrier pipe incorporates an EVOH oxygen diffusion barrier layer sandwiched within the wall of the pipe, which protects the layer from physical and UV damage. The EVOH layer renders the pipe virtually impervious to gases. Qual-PEX barrier pipe improves the performance of sealed central heating systems by reducing the risk of pressure drops caused by a vaporisation of water and corrosion which can occur in a boiler's heat exchanger. Qual-PEX can be purchased pre-insulated (Qual-PEX Eco) and in corrugated ducting (Pipe-in-pipe). 30 PiPes for life underfloor controls Two ranges 230v Models are designed to work with our UH8 wiring centre and dial thermostat with set back function, providing simple but effective control. 12v Network Models have been designed to work as part of a network system, and can be used in conjunction with our UH1 wiring centre and network products. No of Switching Times 4 On/Off times are provided on all time clock models, allowing flexible control of your heating system. 4 channel time clock for time control of rads and hot water. Four switches operated by a clock to control 4 separate heating systems independently. The user can choose one or more on or off cycles, daily and even weekly cycles depending on user preference. Time control of underfloor heating is controlled at room thermostats. On/Off/Constant A mode select button providing an easy method of switching between permanent on, permanent off or auto (time clock mode) TM4 only. Countdown Timer A simple yet useful function that enables the output for the duration of the programmed countdown time. + Boost Facility The programmable boost function allows you to extend the program time, in 30 minute increments - ideal for unscheduled operation of the system. Touchscreen Time Clock Available in 3 plastic finishes: Pipelife UH3 This multi-functional panel with L.E.D. light indicators can incorporate the underfloor heating system for both ground and first floor (if required), domestic hot water and a radiator system. It is extremely versatile due to the fact that it has priority to hot water, connection for boiler and primary pump, boiler interlock provision, motorized valve control for radiator circuit, connection for time clock and individual zone control provision. It is suitable for pumped zone systems and has provisions for room thermostats, thermoelectric actuators and external wiring centre units. Quite simply, all the heating system control electrical connections are in one box. Silver White Brass Actuators The electrothermic actuators are used for ON/OFF control of the opening and closing of a particular underfloor heating circuit on the manifold, (through a switch live by a room thermostat.) When the blue indicator is visible, the actuator is fully open. Allow approx minutes to energise from the fully closed position to the fully open position. 30

Our wireless thermostats offer an effective alternative, and are the ideal choice for extensions or when you are looking to relocate your thermostat. Touchscreen Wireless Thermostat Series Relocate Many thermostats are sited incorrectly, causing your boiler to come on more than necessary. A wireless thermostat allows you to move your thermostat to a more suitable position, without the need to run additional cables. What s more, our Touchscreen models have a desk stand, enabling you to move the thermostat around the house with you. Slimline Wireless Thermostat Series Available in plastic finishes: Silver White Rechargeable Battery (TouchScreen models only) Our Wireless Touchscreen series incorporate a rechargeable battery, saving money on replacement batteries. A USB recharge cable is provided, and an optional plug-in charger is available. Fail Safe A loss of wireless connection could leave your home vulnerable to frost damage. The fail safe function enables the heating for 20% of the time, ensuring the temperature in your home does not drop to dangerous levels. Locking Facility A simple way to reduce tampering of the system settings, and standard across our wireless thermostat series. Electric Floor Heating The electric floor heating models are capable of switching up to 16A and use a floor limiting sensor to protect the floor surface. Wireless 230v 8 Zone Wiring Centre The UH8-W is designed to be used in conjunction with our slimline wireless thermostats. The UH8-W provides central switching and is therefore ideally situated next to the underfloor heating manifold. 8 zones can be controlled as well as providing an output for a hot water cylinder. On demand from any zone, a 230v output is provided to switch the relevant zone actuators, underfloor heating pump and valve. A volt free connection is supplied for the boiler, making it compatible with almost all types of boilers. Up to 6 actuators can be connected to each zone. An external aerial is available for use when the UH8-W is being mounted in a metal cupboard or when the wireless signal is restricted. A software option in the thermostat allows you to configure which zones are underfloor heating and which zones are radiators.
