2 QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS: TENDER CALL NO ADDENDUM NO. 4 Q1: Architectural DWG # L-11 indicates Painted asphalt. Please confirm to us it is painted line and it is not colored asphalt? A1: Note refers to standard asphalt on which paint is applied within shaded zone where note appears; a coloured asphalt product is not used here. Paint pattern shown is striped, the final size and density of which shall to be confirmed with designer prior to application. Q2: Electrical DWG #5 indicates details for: Green P Sign, Service Panel & Pole, Light Stand Type B, Light Stand Type A and TPA Ticket Machine. Please confirm to us we have to supply those items and what is a scope of work? A2: TPA items to be supplied by TPA or are already on site and are relocations. Note that TPA standard details are shown for reference where relevant. These standard details happen to cover various items, so cross-reference with drawings for scope and for supply notes. Items within the project have been bubbled within Electrical sheet #5 for clarity. Q3: Electrical DWG #1 indicates the conduits above grade. 2-2 runs; 3/4-2 runs. On DWG #3 those same conduits are indicated as 4 PVC Ducts. What conduits should be above the ground and what conduits should be underground? A3: Those are not the same conduits. All conduits other than incoming supply conduits from the tap box and the 50mm TPA ticket machine duct are overhead. Q4: Electrical DWG doesn't have Single Line Diagram that would indicate details such as: size and type of conduit and its Designation. Will consultants provide a Single Line Diagram? A4: No, internals for structure is as per architectural plans, wiring details are as required to provide supply to the pot lights. Actual wiring to be executed by electrician as per ESA. Q5: Electrical DWG #4 Indicates specification for VarioLED Hydra LD10 IP67 fixtures. Where those fixtures have to be mounted? We cannot locate them on a drawing. A5: Electrical DWG #3, 6.5m strip light is the VarioLED Hydra (SEE NOTE) Q6: Electrical DWG #3 Indicates note. LED Spot Lights within columns occur twice... In our understanding there will be ten Spot Lights in east column and ten in west column. How many Spot Lights should we price? A6: Spot light count 32 = 10 light in each column and 12 lights in the ceiling. Q7: Electrical DWG #1 Note indicates Remove existing handwell and install proposed tapbox as per THESL Where is detail in regards to THESL ? A7: This work must executed by approved hydro contractor. 3 Q8: Addendum #2, Item 1.4 of Pricing List, Supply and install Type-A Tapbox as per THESL Standart Who is responsible for Tapbox installation? We contact Toronto Hydro and they are saying that tap box has to be installed by TH. Please clarify. A8: The tap box can be installed by an approved hydro contractor, we have asked for this to be carried as a provisional item as hydro has not confirmed if they will execute this work or allow the BIA to execute it. Q9: Electrical DWG #3. Indicates in a Panel Schedule cct# 1 Electrical Roof Deicing. Where on a drawing this equipment is located? A9: Electrical drawing makes provisions in Panel Schedule for de-icing system only. Q10: There are four bollards to be installed to TPA standard. Would it be possible to get the standard from TPA? A10: Attached is the detail for the TPA bollard. Q11: Can you please provide a spec for the proposed junction boxes? A11: The junction boxes are located within the structure and hence covered under the architectural details and ESA regulations. The structure internal, (i.e. junction boxes, pot lights, etc.), will be covered under the architectural plans and governed by ESA. The contractor is responsible for supplying items to meet the required ESA codes. Q12: Addendum 1, Answer 2 states that Hydro will construct a tap box in the sidewalk between the wall and the existing hand well. Can you please verify whether this is the same Tap Box from item 1.4 and if so, is the contractor responsible for supply and installation or is Hydro? A12: Yes this is the same item as the tap box from item 1.4 (there is only one tap box in the tender). Please carry this item as a provisional item. See attached revised Alternative Prices page. Q13: Is the Illuminated Green P Sign to be supplied by the Contractor? A13: No, the Green P Sign is to be supplied by TPA. Q14: Regarding Tender Pricing form Item 1.4 Type A Tapbox. A14: We are still waiting on confirmation from Hydro as to if they will install the tap box or allow an approved contractor to complete the installation. Please carry the tap box item as a provisional item as stated in A12. above. See attached THESL standard of 14
