6 What is COD? Multiple Channel Cable Duct COD is unified inner pipe and outer pipe. How and which size inner pipe type can be possible to combination as customer s any request. Material of Polyethylene (PE) Both inner and outer pipe are made of PE. It is flexible and can be coiled over 500m. That means COD is possible to easy transport and reduce labor cost. This can be fast installation and down the construction cost. Telecommunication Company This new product was proven their great economics and convenient installation than any other system by all of telecommunication companies.

8 What is COD? General Specification The official test reports from the Korea Testing & Research Institute, a State Institute, performed for the approval for the Korean Industrial Standard back s up the benefits of COD as follows: Item Specification/Performance Material Polyethylene (HDPE) No limit, but 500m to 1,000m for practical use. Length Customer's order-length is acceptable. Free bending up to any degree by man-force. Flexibility (Provide much better resistance & stability against earthquake compare to the conventional duct owing to sufficient flexibility and elongation nature). Compressive Load < 292Kgf/CM2 Heat Resistance -0.4% (at <110 ) Thermal Deformation Factor <3% Tensile Strength 321Kgf/CM2 (at 5% deformation of outside diameter). Friction Factor <3% Heat Transforming Factor <3% at being stored 60 minutes at 110 Impact Test Passed (Free from distortion, twist and tear.) Bending Performance Bendable up to -20 temperature Test from Solution form of the following Chemicals No defects at: 40% of HNO3 Chemical Resistance (Appearance) No defects at: 40% of NaOH No defects at: 30% of H2SO4 No defects at: 10% of NaCl Voltage Resistance: AC 2,000V (< 15 minutes) Insulating Resistance: < 200M Ohm

12 Services High Speed Internet Superhighway networks Cable Television CCTV on the express highway Video Phone Communication Downtown / Business quarters infrastructure Undersea s infrastructure

13 Services 1) Easy installation The inner ducts have longitudinal ridges on their inside surfaces and provide a low coefficient of friction, allowing fiber optic cables and other type cables or wires to be easily pulled through them. 2) Reducing labor cost COD allows an overall reduction in delivery and cable installation costs. The manifold configuration of COD insures high structural integrity over the entire length of the conduit sections. 3) Reduced connecting points between the duct segments A reduced number of connections can be reduced working cost and minimized the possibility of leakage.

14 Services 4) Great flexibility COD made of polyethylene, therefore has great flexibility. It can be easy and speedy installation. Even though like a mountain area, curve section or narrow section, COD can be possible easy and fast works. 5) Crushing strength & advanced safety The COD withstand external pressures on its outer surface 3 times greater than conventional plastic ducts. Its strength and flexibility have proven to provide an added measure of protection when installed in uneven terrain, underground spaces and on bridge are connections. 6) Various combination of inner-ducts Various combinations of sub-ducts are available so that duct runs can be customized to meet your needs.

19 Previous Installation System (PVC Duct System) Trench Excavation PVC Duct connecting every 6m Insert each sub duct Insert optic fiber cable by manpower Insert pulling rope by manpower

20 Comparison of Working Flow COD Trench PVC duct Trench with related works Trench space have to consideration if the worker can be inside for their working. Laying COD Laying PVC duct Since PVC duct only 6m, the workers have to carry and lay every each 6m duct. Refill trench & Close the work Connect PVC duct PVC duct have to connect using their coupling every 6m between 2 manholes. Cut down working expenses COD makes just 3 working steps Insert inner pipe Refill trench & Close the work Every inner pipes put inside the PVC duct by manpower 1.Fill sand and refill soil 2.Compact paving 3.Disposal of left over soils
